Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1883 The truth about the Sacred Covenant Academy

After conducting deeper investigations and later questioning their own children in detail, everyone eventually discovered the truth: the Sky Opening Hall was, in essence, a carefully constructed center designed to cultivate addiction.

All of those serums were genuine-they truly removed the shackles imposed by beast bloodlines.

All of the techniques were authentic-they genuinely expanded and refined the ways in which beast blood could be utilized.

All of the elixirs were real as well-they truly increased the density and potency of beast blood within their bodies.

By this measure, every product offered by the Sky Opening Hall was undeniably real and functioned with absolute, one hundred percent effectiveness. Unfortunately, anyone who made use of these products was required to swear a powerful oath upon themselves-never to experiment on the elixirs, and never to reveal the secrets behind the techniques.

Still, the results were undeniable, and they worked for the children. In the end, that alone was what truly mattered.

What enraged the parents was the hidden deception behind it all. The initial level of improvement was extremely small-almost negligible- but it could be increased with each subsequent purchase. This gradual escalation was precisely what created a dangerous form of addiction.

A student could purchase a technique to better utilize beast blood for thirty thousand Pearls. Then came the second version, priced at five hundred thousand. After that, the third version cost a staggering ten million.

The son of one of the ancient Centennial Empires had purchased twenty-four versions of the SAME technique!!

Naturally, that boy had risen to become the number one student in the academy, a living advertisement that further promoted the Sky Opening Hallʼs reputation. Yet the expenses he incurred were nothing short of astronomical. It was said that when the boyʼs father finally learned of the unimaginable sums his son had spent behind his back, he immediately summoned him—intending to punish him severely and forbid him from ever returning to the academy that was deceiving his child and draining his vast fortune.

And yet, the very next day, he sent him straight back to the academy-this time with even more Pearls in hand.

Because he had uncovered the third revelation, the same shocking truth discovered by every parent who stepped into the academyʼs inner grounds...

There existed a mandatory slaughter course-one that every single student was required to endure.

Yes, slaughter-just like the slaughter of beasts and convicted criminals. A brutal course personally overseen by the Black Wasps of the Centennial Grave Empire. Its purpose was to train students to survive under the most horrific conditions imaginable: when to fight to the death, when to retreat, how to strike with lethal intent, and countless other chilling lessons that should never, under any circumstances, be taught within the walls of an academy.

They forced the children of the wealthy to eat worms and drink earth snake blood, casting them into an environment of extreme cruelty-an environment built specifically on the planet for this very purpose. This process caused that entire generation to mature at an incomprehensible pace. Children were turned into men, and girls into women capable of tearing into the flesh of their enemies without hesitation.

Only after witnessing this place with their own eyes did the parents finally understand the reason behind the drastic change in their childrenʼs temperament and nature.

And more importantly...

The Black Wasps were here.

The very same Black Wasps who had once terrorized the entire sector and annihilated a faction of a Millennial Empire had been hired to work here- As

survival instructors and practical combat trainers!!!

And somehow, even all of this still wasnʼt enough?

Perhaps the pace of growth was still considered just a little too slow?

The Sacred Covenant Academy went even further by establishing a dedicated store for Soul Masters, a place where they could freely purchase initial souls or fully prepared soul creatures in unlimited quantities. Each transaction came with an official guarantee issued in the academyʼs own name, assuring buyers that these souls were pure, uncontaminated, and would not cause them harm in any form.

Naturally, the soul-hunting technique that Robin had spread among his own followers was not made available to the academyʼs students. However, members of the Burton family took on the task of hunting souls themselves and selling them through proper channels-at truly exorbitant prices that only the elite could afford.

On that very day, shocks continued to cascade upon the upper class of Middle Sector 99. With every step they took deeper into the academy, they encountered something new and astonishing. They saw a colossal academic complex, one whose scale and completeness surpassed even that of Dawn light Academy itself. They witnessed massive combat arenas, fully secured and reinforced, surrounded by powerful healing arrays.

They observed organized large-scale combat events, as well as competitive gatherings focused on pill refinement, talisman crafting, array construction, and the forging and tempering of equipment, all at levels that shouldnʼt be available for strangers, not at this small price!

They were witnessing things that should not, by any reasonable standard, exist within an academy that had opened its gates only twenty-five years ago.

...After leaving the academy grounds, all of those major powers quietly reviewed and consolidated their finances. Then, without hesitation, they gathered as many more young geniuses as they could from within their clans and families and sent them to the Sacred Covenant Academy immediately. At this point, the matter was no longer about admiration for Instructor Morgana or amazement at the academyʼs infrastructure. All of those towering figures instantly realized that a massive supporter stood behind the Sacred Covenant Academy- most likely the same mysterious backer supporting the Grave Empire, an empire envied by all for the depth of its resources and

strength.

Now that there existed a source they could directly benefit from -a place where they could acquire knowledge, strengthen the next generation, and, on top of that, build a favorable relationship with that enigmatic supporter- Why wouldnʼt they seize the opportunity?

Of course, every one of them acted in secrecy. They had no desire for additional powers to learn about the advantages offered by the Sacred Covenant Academy. However, secrecy could not be maintained forever. The sudden and large-scale transfer of so many new students inevitably drew attention-and that attention, in turn, attracted even more students.

Faced with these relentless waves of newcomers, Morgana was forced to expand. New academic buildings were constructed, additional ports were established, more student residences and guard facilities were built. She had to recruit a greater number of instructors and formally request additional imperial guards to ensure the academyʼs security and stability.

The pressure mounted. Expenses rose steadily and relentlessly. But at the same time... the academyʼs profits surged in an explosive manner. Along with them rose its reputation, its influence, and its standing as a newly formed center of gravity within the sector.

And possessing weight in any region meant one thing above all else: responsibilities could no longer be avoided.

Now, in the Year 650 After the Coronation, with confirmed news spreading of

the imminent death of the Cosmic Elder or perhaps his death had already occurred, given that he had not appeared for many years to take a new wife- the balance of the sector began to shift. Many things changed in a short span of

time.

Among the three Stellar Academies of Middle Sector 99, TWO had effectively ceased fulfilling the duties expected of them.

Missions such as hunting the most dangerous criminals, eradicating spreading plague nests, mediating between warring factions once conflicts reached extreme levels of brutality and destruction, and countless other responsibilities of what they liked to call the ”cosmic police”-all of it had come to a complete

standstill.

They limited themselves to teaching and collecting wealth, occasionally assigning tasks related to criminals or plague outbreaks to students and leaving them to resolve such matters on their own. As for the academy heads and administrative staff, they withdrew entirely. Every academy-affiliated peacekeeping force returned to its barracks and never ventured out again.

Two of the three forces that kept the sector viable for life had stopped acting

altogether...

Yet in the midst of that growing despair, everyone remembered one crucial fact: there was a new academy-one capable of stepping forward and taking their place.
