Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1872 History

Playfully-almost mockingly- Orion stared into Theoʼs dark eyes. ”There is nothing to discuss,” he said with a dismissive flick of his tone. ”I already brought you the latest proposal from both the Cursed Behemoth and the Savage Behemoth. Whether you choose to accept it or throw it aside is entirely your business. As Lord Hedrick himself put it, I will return to curling up inside my own galaxy!”

Then he narrowed his brows slightly as he continued observing Theo, scrutinizing him. ”And you, in particular-consider this a warning. Lord Hedrick has enough raw power to escape any scenario, no matter how disastrous or hopeless it appears. But the Shadow Swords are different. If a single Behemoth decides to place you in his sights, even on a whim, there will be no corner -no hidden system, no drifting asteroid, no forgotten galaxy- where you will be able to live in this universe.”

”As long as I can still draw breath,” Hedrick boomed loudly, voice echoing through the room, ”the Shadow Swords will always have a place!” Then he gestured firmly behind him. ”Theo, go ahead. Say what you want to say.”

”Thank you, my lord.” Theo dipped his head respectfully to Hedrick, then turned back to look straight into Orionʼs eyes. ”The truth is, I had some spare time lately,” he said in a tone halfway between casual and thoughtful, ”so I decided to read a bit-some history books, mostly. And I learned a thing or two... things I thought might be worth sharing, blended with my own perspective, if only to chase away the boredom of this suffocating meeting.” Then, after drawing in a deep, steady breath, Theo began:

”...It is told that after the legendary battle between the Cosmic Elder and the Space Beast ancestor -and even before that, after he annihilated the Abyss of Doom- the universe finally slipped into a state of genuine peace. For the first time in countless ages, there was quiet. But tragically... no peace is eternal. Once intelligent beings no longer needed to fight for simple survival against the enemies of existence, they suddenly found themselves with endless time to plot against one another.”

”...The Stellar Academies were founded with a noble purpose: to extinguish any hint of plague the instant it appeared. But they could not police the greed of sentient creatures. They could not restrain the Behemoths, who began spreading like roaring wildfires-expanding mercilessly, violently, with a ferocity that threatened to erase life faster than any plague humanity had ever recorded.”

”...Especially because certain individuals with golden limbs -monsters of talent and ambition- began emerging one after another. Each of them used everything within their might to spark cosmic-scale wars among the Behemoths, who were already clashing across multiple fronts. And no matter how often the Stellar Academies tried to mediate, tried to calm the storms, they were brushed aside like insignificant dust.”

”Then came the Cosmic Elder...” Theoʼs lips curled into a subtle smile. ”He issued a decree forbidding war entirely. For a moment, it seemed brilliant. His command halted the Behemoths instantly. But the smaller wars scattered across the universe only grew fiercer. The small entities wanted to rise-they hungered to expand, to carve out power for themselves. The Elder realized war was inevitable: a force he could never truly command, never observe everywhere at once. So he amended the law. A Behemoth may rule his own sector completely, but he may not step beyond his borders to wage war in another sector.”

”...Technically, that was an excellent solution. After that, the Behemoths fought within their own sectors, conquered them entirely, and a deep, stable peace settled over those territories. But this also confined them within their borders -unable to shatter the Cosmic Elderʼs sacred decree.” Theo tilted his head. ”But did it really confine them?”

He shook his head slowly. ”Most Behemoths -nearly all of them, if weʼre being honest maintain subordinate forces in other sectors. Armies and organizations meant to spread their influence, uncover new sources of precious resources, and establish power for them beyond the boundaries carved by law.”

”...Among the most obvious examples -those whose origins everyone already knows- are the Twilight Spectrum Empire and the Nine Paths Empire in Mid Sector 100, as well as the Flaming Claws Empire in Mid Sector 101. All of them serve under the Savage Behemothʼs galaxy.” Then Theo allowed a strange, almost unsettling smile to form on his face. ”But there are also hidden subordinate forces. Among those concealed agents... is the Pureheart Family in Mid Sector 101, operating entirely under the dominion of the Cursed Behemoth.”

”...?!”

Everyone inside the tent widened their eyes to their absolute limit, each person reacting for a completely different reason, shock rippling across their faces like a sudden wave.

”The Pureheart family? The very same family from which the Purity Tyrant Kaylis emerged?!” The personal assistant, Heijra, gasped sharply and instinctively placed her hand over her mouth, unable to believe what she had just heard.

”Silence!!” Orion leapt to his feet in raw panic, his voice cracking like thunder. ”If you donʼt shut up this instant, I swear Iʼll rip your tongue straight out of your

throat!!”

”If you want your head to stay exactly where it belongs, sit down.”

Hedrick rose as well, unleashing his overwhelming aura, pressing down on everyone in the tent with suffocating force. Then he pointed firmly at Theo.

”Continue.”

”Understood.” Theo gave a respectful nod. ”The truth is simple: no one in this universe needs the Laws of the Purity Path more desperately than the accursed galaxy. And likewise, no one suffers from soul corruption, physical filth, and an endless accumulation of bad karma more than they do-because of their wicked practices and the unholy methods they employ to empower their high-level curses.”

”...So they began searching relentlessly for any race, any bloodline, any tribe that possessed even the slightest affinity toward purity. To these groups, they distributed secondary laws linked to purity, turning them into seeds-seeds they intended to harvest later for their own benefit. The Curses Tyrant planted over ninety such seeds across countless regions. And the Pureheart family, located in the Middle Sector 101, was one of those carefully chosen vessels.”

”The Pureheart family lived outwardly as an entirely peaceful and benevolent household, serving everyone without exception and treating any illness or injury in exchange for coin. They had no enemies, no feuds, no lingering grudges with anyone. Their reputation was spotless, and they appeared to live in perfect, serene peace...

But in reality, nearly 80% of their children were always stationed in the neighboring sector, secretly working in service of the accursed galaxy Darvion. And that perfect peace they enjoyed was not natural-it existed only because the galaxy protected them from the shadows through multiple paid organizations. Among these organizations was, of course, THE Syndicate.” ”This continued unchanged for decades, until an extraordinarily gifted girl emerged-a prodigy who took an additional step beyond the minor Purity Laws and managed to discover the Major Law of Purity itself. With overwhelming resources and constant support from the accursed galaxy Darvion, she kept rising in power at an unbelievable pace. And because she was human- unrestricted by the limitations of beast-blood-her talent and the colossal aid behind her allowed her to ascend all the way into the Law Domination realm without engaging in a single true life-or-death battle. She never had to fight at all; the galaxy shielded her from every threat, eliminating every obstacle before

it reached her.”

”..”

Orionʼs expression tightened until it was suffocating, his hand itching-begging -to rip Theoʼs head off on the spot... and the only thing stopping him was Hedrickʼs oppressive presence filling the tent.

”And then fate, as usual, continues distributing its gifts. The Monarch -at that time- Kaylis eventually discovers that a Galaxy Seed is about to enter her sector. She sees, with absolute clarity, that every millennial empire in the sector is preparing for war over it. So what does she do?”

Theo tilted his head slightly, a faint glimmer in his eyes. ”Exactly... she openly turns to the accursed galaxy Darvion for assistance, leveraging their influence to pressure all competing forces until they withdraw completely, leaving the seed for her alone.”
