Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1875 partner of fate

”...The Cursed Behemoth was ecstatic when he realized the galaxy seed had fallen into Hedrickʼs hands. A second seed under his control meant the creation of an entirely new artificial galaxy-an enormous boost to his authority in Sector 101, granting him influence and power unmatched by any other. Yet, the one holding it, Lord Hedrick himself, was an unforeseen complication, a thorn in his plans, and arguably the greatest obstacle standing in the way of his complete dominance.”

Theo cast a sharp, sidelong glance at Hedrick, his eyes assessing him as if weighing every possible move.

”He knows that Pure Behemoth Kaylis -aside from enforcing taxes with an iron hand, and those collected under threat or force- has spent every ounce of effort in her being to protect and stabilize the other empires within the sector. She shields them from mutual destruction, provides medical aid at discounted prices to save their populations, and painstakingly cultivates diplomatic ties. Marriages are arranged carefully, linking her Pureheart family with the most influential sons and daughters of the sector, creating subtle but effective bonds that ensure loyalty, or at least cooperation.”

”... He understands that this is her method of fortifying the sector, since she cannot influence or strengthen the galaxy at large directly. Yet, he paid little attention to this, because as long as the galaxy itself was under his command, all other matters were trivial. Then came Lord Hedrick -the Son of Destruction - arriving into this tangled web. Pure Behemoth rescued him, recognizing the potential in his strength, and insisted that he establish an empire of his own, offering him full support, guidance, and resources. She saw him as a godsend, an angel descending from the heavens to resolve her most pressing problem- the glaring absence of absolute power. By keeping the Son of Destruction by her side, she finally equipped the sector with both sword and shield, a combination long absent in its defense.”

”...For a time, the Cursed Behemoth fretted over him, wary of his potential and the implications of his rise. But when he observed Hedrickʼs initial lethargy and withdrawn demeanor, he felt a slight reassurance. That reassurance, however, did not last long. After the battle between Lord Hedrick and Lord Helmour the Destroyer, when the rumors began to spread that Hedrick had even managed to wound his own father while the latter was still a low-level monarch- the Cursed Behemothʼs anxiety returned tenfold, and Hedrick became firmly cemented in his mind as a player who could not be ignored.”

”So, when the seed finally appeared in Lord Hedrickʼs hands, the first thought in the Cursed Behemothʼs calculating mind was clear: force the Bright Galaxy to issue a decree compelling Hedrick to surrender the seed. And if Hedrick refused, then the galaxy itself would be coerced to demand his support. In that moment, he planned to unleash his full might, his legions sweeping across the sector to destroy the Crumbled Dreams Empire completely, evicting Hedrick to a distant sector, eradicating the ʼtumorʼ he had feared, while simultaneously gaining a fresh galaxy seed managed entirely by his loyal followers. Then, and only then, would he withdraw, carefully orchestrating events so that the Cosmic Elder would remain unaware, and thus, placated.”

Orion ground his teeth furiously, his entire body trembling with restrained fury.

This... this was exactly the kind of maneuver that could happen. It wasnʼt the first time the Cursed Behemoth had manipulated events, forcing them to issue false declarations to suit his ends.

Hedrick, meanwhile, furrowed his brow with intense focus. So Kaylis... she had regarded him not merely as a tool, but as a means of protection? A living safeguard for her plans?

”...But when the Cursed Behemoth began assembling his forces and preparing to execute his plans, he was caught off guard by a sudden message from Zavaros the Savage Behemoth,” Theo continued, letting the weight of his words sink in, capturing the attention of everyone present.

”He threatened that if the Cursed Behemoth dared mobilize his forces into Sector 101 to seize the seed under the pretense of protecting the Bright Galaxy, Zavaros himself would deploy his own legions to attack the empty Cursed Galaxy. He further warned that he would inform the Cosmic Elder of all events occurring in Bright, ensuring that no intervention would prevent the Savage Behemoth from striking if necessary. The Savage Behemoth had made it clear- he would not allow his rival to gain even an ounce more power without consequences!”

”...?!”

Everyoneʼs eyes widened to their limits. The very thought of the Behemoths acting together in such a coordinated, synchronized manner sent a shockwave of disbelief through the tent. And these two, of all creatures, these two mighty titans, were working together against them at this very moment! The realization hung in the air like a suffocating weight, pressing down on every person present.

”Of course,” Theo continued, his voice calm yet cutting through the tension like a blade, ”the Cursed Behemoth was intensely displeased with the threat posed by the Savage Behemoth. But he had no other choice. If he had attempted to seize the galaxy seed by force, the Savage Behemoth would have intercepted and devoured it himself. The risks were too high... he had to devise an alternative, a plan that would allow him to achieve his objectives without engaging in a direct, catastrophic confrontation.”

”He made a calculated decision: he granted the green light to Zavaros the Savage to enter the territories under his control and destroy the seed personally. The pretext? A fabricated personal dispute with Hedrick. In return, the Savage Behemoth swore that he would forget, entirely and forever, the matter of Bright Galaxyʼs allegiance-never to bring it up again, never to interfere in their affairs.”

”Zavaros the Savage received this coordination with great satisfaction. He would personally eliminate Hedrick, removing the stain of shame left by Helmour the Destroyer Behemothʼs assault on his galaxy all those many years ago and personally killing a son of his. He would obliterate the galaxy seed before it could fall into the hands of Darvion the Cursed, flexing his power for the entire universe to see. His actions would send a clear message to all: the strength of the Savage Behemothʼs galaxy was unmatched, and anyone who dared defy him would pay a steep price. This display of raw power would inevitably attract more followers to his banner, eager to witness and partake in his dominion...”

”...Immediately following this, Lord Zarion made his dramatic entrance, leaping across the battlefield, spreading rumors of his personal vendetta against Lord Hedrick. He began recruiting allies, strategically dispatching them toward the seed, and executing a meticulously crafted plan to consolidate his forces within the southwestern Aurora starfield. The endgame? To emerge at once with six thousand fleets, striking the universe with an unstoppable force, crushing Lord Hedrick and his defenses within a maximum of two years.”

”The Cursed Behemoth was content, his strategy progressing flawlessly- Bright Galaxyʼs secrets would finally perish. The Savage Behemoth was equally satisfied, all of his calculated gains falling neatly into place. Everything seemed to unfold exactly as planned... every element, every move, perfectly aligned with the grand design.”

Here, Theoʼs lips curled into a strange, almost mischievous smile as he gestured subtly toward Hedrick.

”That was, of course, until Lord Hedrick tapped into every shred of luck, every ounce of good karma accumulated by his ancestors since the dawn of creation. In that moment, he found a powerful ally, one that shifted the scales of fate entirely in his favor.”

”.....” Hedrickʼs gaze lingered on Theo for an uncomfortably long moment, absorbing the weight of his words.

This... this is one of the most narcissistic things he have ever heard. Yet... he cannot deny it. Without Robinʼs intervention he wouldnʼt have survived to see

this day.

”Without who?” Orion burst out, his voice urgent, almost panicked. ”Who is

supporting you?!”

”Shh!” Hedrick waved at him dismissively, his tone icy and amused at once. ”We are far from being friends, footlicker. Tread carefully before assuming familiarity.” He then turned his attention back to Theo. ”Do you have more to

reveal, Theo?”

”I do,” Theo said, nodding solemnly. ”In truth, Lord Hedrick, you were supposed to have claimed victory already. That was the plan the one meticulously crafted by the Behemoths themselves. But fate intervened, and something occurred that completely overturned the balance of power. This event affected you... and it affected Bright Galaxy as well, in ways that none of you could have

imagined.”

He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. ”...It was the sudden, chaotic emergence of the space beasts that changed everything, throwing all predictions into disarray.”

”...?!” Everyone furrowed their brows, the tension in the air growing heavier by

the second.

”Have you not noticed?” Theoʼs piercing gaze scanned the tent, taking in every

face, every flicker of doubt. ”Only after the rumors of the Cosmic Elderʼs death began to spread did the Savage Behemoth and the Cursed Behemoth dare to mobilize their armies. They did so with dominion-level operatives commanding each force, individuals whose mere presence radiated authority. Only then did they have the audacity to openly invade Mid Sector 101.”

He paused again, his expression hardening with gravity as he continued. ”In that period, when both Behemoths stationed five hundred fleets each, along with a Monarch and a Guardian, at the very borders of Mid Sector 101, they had completely abandoned previous agreements and made a new one. The rules that had once governed their interactions were now meaningless. They acted as if the Cosmic Elder did not exist, ignoring all protocols and previous

warnings.”
