Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1837 The new plan

Lord Orion began preparing the army.

The news spreading from within Bright Galaxy caused a great uproar- an uproar so loud that it echoed through every communication network- along with an even deeper confusion that no one could immediately decipher.

It is worth noting that Bright Galaxy Galaxy was never, at any point in its history, founded upon military might. Instead, it rose upon soft power, cultivated influence, delicate diplomacy, and the intricate web of social relations that Kaylis mastered naturally.

Kaylis The Pure was never the aggressive or even the political sort. She possessed neither an intimidating personality nor an intimidating military. She came from a family whose entire heritage revolved around purity-a lineage with a natural warmth toward cleansing energies. This family earned its status and livelihood through the purification of soul filth and the mending of tainted bodies.

It was a family far removed from warfare; no soldiers, no strategies, no battlefield traditions-nothing that resembled a military background.

Kaylis herself, however, was born with an extraordinarily heightened affinity- an affinity far surpassing anything seen in her ancestors. This rare gift allowed her to draw close to major cosmic figures with ease, gaining their trust and affection. It helped her climb rapidly in strength and prestige until she eventually rose to the rank of Monarch.

Through this status-whether via soul healing or physical treatment-she built a vast circle of meaningful alliances, friendships, and mutually beneficial bonds that extended across sectors and epochs.

Therefore, when she discovered the galaxy seed, she already possessed a tremendous reserve of Pearls. She felt the time had come not only to elevate her own status but to raise her family to heights they had never dreamed of.

She reached out to several Behemoths, requesting their protection for the seed, asking them to supply the essential equipment, and even to educate her family on the complexities of managing an entire galaxy.

She relied on personal favors, accumulated over years of service and healing, to push the Behemoths to shield the seed from all competition until it reached the Middle Sector. And them, using her wealth, she purchased numerous units of planetary-displacement equipment to shape and form the galaxy.

Then she used a combination of personal leverage and vast wealth to buy fleets and hire professional mercenaries capable of operating them flawlessly.

But despite all this accumulation of power... she never used any of it.

Kaylis The Pure did not create the galaxy to dominate the cosmos. She built it to safeguard her large, peaceful family -an investment of love more than ambition- and to prepare herself for the future she wanted: a future in which she could finally have her own children without fear and give them a good life. Thus, even after completing the artificial galaxy, she refused to unleash her armies upon the existing powers in Middle Sector 101. There was no conquest, no aggressive expansion-only patience.

She chose negotiation. She requested Behemoth mediators and used diplomacy so skillfully that she peacefully subdued every thousand-year empire in the sector. Naturally, the Centennial Empires followed, and then each weaker force in turn.

One after another, without a single casualty, until she held the entire sector in her hands a phenomenon so rare and extraordinary that historians still struggle to classify it.

Because of this peaceful rise, none of those powers were dismantled. They remained intact, functional, and free.

All that was required of them was a monthly tax and basic informational coordination. They were still permitted to expand, innovate, and operate independently as they wished.

In a technical sense, she preserved their freedom and ambition while collecting taxes in exchange for the security of living under her protective mantle.

That was her promise: ”I shall shield you-from myself, from any invader, and even from your own destructive tendencies. No empire shall ever again be allowed to erase another.”

Everything seemed reasonable, balanced, and even comforting. Other Behemoths vouched for her, strengthening her credibility. Thus everyone listened, followed, and entered the fold of the Eshraq Galaxy-without war, without bloodshed, without the clash of armies.

Rumors claimed that Bright Galaxy possessed nearly 2,000 fleets, along with a gigantic mercenary army led by generals specializing in the Cleansing Law.

Yet all of this power existed only as whispers-statistics spoken in council chambers, never displayed on a battlefield. Nothing tangible ever proved the scale of their military strength.

Bright Galaxy has not participated in a single war since its formation until this very day.

So when news spread that Lord Orion was preparing the army, shock rippled through the sector. No one had ever heard of such a thing happening before.

The idea alone was enough to unsettle every major power.

In response to these reports, the Millennium and Centennial Empires in Middle Sector 101 began a full-scale mobilization. Armories opened, war councils convened, and fleets were quietly activated.

Yet, despite all this preparation, no one dared to move first. Every force waited for Bright Galaxy to reveal its intentions.

They all wanted to know one thing:

Are these forces being gathered against Hedrick himself, or are they meant for the rebels?

Alexander pointed toward the red mark, letting his fingertip hover over the holographic projection for an extra moment as if emphasizing the gravity of the location. ”...Here-right at this coordinate- there is a Guardian accompanied by an entire armada operating under his direct command. Our objective will be to strike them first.” ”Is this truly the best time to advance into the Cosmic Hammer Starfield?” Victoria folded her arms more tightly, her tone calm but layered with caution and strategic concern. ”The reports about Bright Galaxy mobilizing its army are over two months old now, and yet they still havenʼt taken a single decisive step. No one knows when theyʼll strike, where theyʼll strike, or what shape their intervention will take. Weʼre walking blind.” ”A new report arrived from the Shadow Swords, straight from within Bright Galaxy,” Alexander continued, exhaling slowly. ”There are movements among their mercenary fleets, but theyʼre limited- minor shifts, nothing resembling a true mobilization. Itʼs most likely a psychological tactic: a maneuver designed to keep Hedrick constantly on edge, or maybe a subtle message to the rebels that Bright Galaxy still has the capability to intervene whenever it wishes... or something in that direction.” ”So... are we just going to ignore them entirely?” another general asked, his voice carrying both worry and disbelief. ”Bright Galaxy still possesses nearly two thousand fleets!” ”We will ignore them-for now, yes.”

Alexander nodded firmly, his expression unshaken. ”Fixating on a possible threat will blind us to the immediate and far more dangerous one.”

He shifted his hand to indicate a broader region on the tactical map-the southern belt pulsing with red and orange markers. ”And donʼt forget that Brontor and his armada are still active in the region...

Even now, after everything weʼve observed, I still cannot comprehend how such an enormous armada is NOT collapsing under the coordinated assaults on their homeland -forced to flee like the other armadas- they somehow still maintaining cohesion and discipline. That paradox alone makes them a significant threat.” ”General Alexander,” one of the officers asked, ”should our next operation be the strike against the Guardian, or should we devote our forces to dealing with Marshal Brontor and his armada?” Alexander accepted the question with visible seriousness and pointed even farther south, highlighting several recently cleared zones. ”We have successfully swept through every planet the Allied Army occupied in the southern strip. We pushed them back step by step, driving the majority of their forces behind the barrier wall dividing the two belts-again. And now, with their final stronghold destroyed, Marshal Brontor and whoever remains loyal to him will have no choice but to retreat into the Young Belt. Their foothold here no longer exists.” ”...Once they reach the Young Belt, Brontor and his armada-roughly 250 fleets strong-will be forced into one of two strategic paths:

First option: launch another desperate assault on Planet Verillion;

Second option: move along the barrier wall, slip back into Middle Sector 101 from the western edge, and merge with the four armadas currently shredding the Cosmic Hammer Starfield. That would make them the fifth armada, strengthening the Alliesʼ offensive push significantly.”

Alexander lifted his gaze toward the shimmering starfield projection above. ”If Brontor chooses the second option-circling around and entering from the west to reinforce the Allied siege-then we must penetrate the starfield as well and establish ourselves as Lord Hedrickʼs third armada. That will set the balance at five versus three.”

His voice deepened with determination. ”We will then take advantage of Brontorʼs temporary absence during the maneuver to strike that Guardian and his armada with overwhelming force- announce our presence unmistakably-then withdraw before they can retaliate. This sudden loss in the south will hit their morale hard. They will feel, for the first time, that the balance has shifted and that they have gone from having the advantage... to being three against four. The southern front will effectively collapse.” ”What if Marshal Brontor chooses to strike at Verillion instead?”

Richard pointed toward the far south of the map, where the Verillion Seed glowed like a burning ember. ”Can we reach him in time to protect Verillion? Or will we be too far behind?” ”Heh~” Alexander displayed a slow, confident grin. ”Based on the Shadow Swordsʼ latest reports about the condition of the Second

Army in Verillion...”

He turned toward Richard with a spark of anticipation in his eyes. ”I honestly hope truly, with all my heart- that Brontor chooses to head straight for Verillion!”
