Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1046: Great Truth Chosen

”...This sounds a bit too extreme, donʼt you think?” Robinʼs shock was evident in his heavy expressions. Galactic wars... the intervention of stellar academies? What exactly was this? What scale should he imagine when hearing such grandiose terms?

Martial arts... The legitimate offspring of the fourth cultivation path, and yet they took center stage while the fourth cultivation path was relegated to ridicule, or at best, considered a free tool available to humans.

”You just canʼt imagine what Iʼm talking about. You still view martial arts through the lens of something like the Phoenix of the East technique I talked about earlier. But when you open a book and take a look at some of the martial arts that have appeared in history, youʼll feel a chill running down your spine,” Pythor explained quickly.

”Iʼll give you an example of one of the legendary martial arts. It was created by the Great Truth Chosen Antikhrus 70 million years ago, he called it: The Execution. Itʼs a blend of sixth- stage laws from the Path of Cleaving, the Path of Waves, and the Path of Gravity, along with other minor enhancement laws. The great Truth Choen Antikhrus gifted this martial art to his dear friend who had supported and protected him during his early years. That friend once stood before a planet with whose people he had a grudge from the past. He raised his hand like this-like this!” Pythor demonstrated the motion by stretching out his arm and waving it toward Robin like a sword. ”With that single motion, he activated the martial art, and the planet was split in two!”

”...?” Robin raised his eyebrows, his eyes widening in disbelief. Splitting a planet in half with a single attack?

But suddenly, he noticed something. ”You said a martial art composed of sixth-stage laws? Sixth-stage of the laws is equivalent to what you call the Nexus Realm. I donʼt think just anyone can use a martial art of that level, right?”

”Of course not, otherwise anyone walking down the street could fight world Cataclysms, haha!” Pythor laughed loudly. ”You said it yourself-understanding a martial art through its runes and converting it into patterns requires deep comprehension and, more importantly, immense strength. While martial arts donʼt require a specific level of foundation, they do demand experience and power. For instance, the martial art I told you about might be usable by someone at the peak of the World Cataclysm Realm, and through it, theyʼd have a chance to fight someone in the Nexus Realm!”

”A World Cataclysm fighting a Nexus Realm through martial arts? This...” Once again, Robin was stunned by this revelation.

Although he didnʼt fully understand what this meant, he could imagine it.

The leap from a Martial Emperor to a World Cataclysm was massive- he had heard enough about the shadow that attacked Sakaar and Holak to realize this. So what about the gap between someone at the World Calamity level and someone in the Nexus Realm? And what if the martial art fell into the hands of someone in the Nexus Realm? How much power could they extract from it?

The mere ability of legendary martial arts to allow a person to transcend such levels made them worthy of the exaggerations he had heard from Pythor.

Even if we leave aside the legendary martial arts, even ordinary martial arts are a treasure. No wonder there are still people clinging to the fourth cultivation path until now and refusing to turn themselves into demi-humans.

Robin turned to the side and began reflecting on what he had heard so far. The information was severely lacking as if it were pieces of a puzzle, but it was so much that he didnʼt dare ask for more details.

”What, do you think youʼve found a gold mine? Perhaps youʼre thinking about all the martial arts you plan to create after you kill me? And how theyʼll benefit humanity?” After giving Robin some time to digest the information, Pythor laughed loudly. ”Maybe youʼre thinking of solutions for the fourth cultivation path? Hahaha.”

”Hmm? For me to spread these kinds of martial arts? Iʼm not that naive.” But Robin waved a few times, smiling. ”In fact, I found myself in a similar situation when I started my path. Planet Jura was very young and didnʼt have any proper techniques to introduce them to the heavenly laws, so I decided to be clever and give all those techniques only to my family, hiding them from the world so they wouldnʼt kill me or try to abduct me to work for a certain faction. But in the end, they burned my city, nearly destroyed my family, and it led to the death of my wife and the torture of my son.”

”I donʼt know if Iʼll ever need to go to the middle planetary belt, but I definitely donʼt want to stand out again in any way. Iʼll try to walk along the wall for the rest of my life!” Robin shook his head many times. ”Secondly, how exactly would I benefit humanity? I canʼt even grasp the enormity of the middle planetary belt. Even if I tried to publish my research, it might take tens of millions of years for its echoes to be heard and have any impact!”

”...” Pythor was stunned, his expression shifting from attempting to annoy Robin to complete disbelief. 0_0

He had expected Robin to tell him that an ordinary person wouldnʼt be able to replicate the martial arts that had vanished throughout history and that thinking of solutions for the fourth cultivation path was too much for him after it had been neglected by all those Great Truth Chosens before him... but instead, Robin started giving logical reasons for not doing it?!

But since their conversation was all based on assumptions anyway, Pythor waved and dropped the subject. ”I understand your concerns, but in fact, there are solutions for all of this, this is why the Soul Society exists anyway.”

”Whatʼs that?!” Robin asked quickly.

”Tsk tsk~” Pythor shook his head and finger. ”If we continue branching out like this, weʼll never finish. After talking about the Soul Society, weʼll have to get into the phenomenon of Cosmopolitization and then we will get into the unique rules of the entities called Galaxies. Then we will talk about the role of interplanetary Sects and Schools and how they function in planets they donʼt own, after that, you will surely ask about the governance systems, and I will need to tell you about how planetary spirits interact with cultivators, and the emergence of planetary weapons, and then weʼll delve into the maturity of the laws there and the very influential role of the law of karma, and maybe-”

”Alright, alright, I give up. Trying to learn about the middle planetary belt in one session really does seem ridiculous,” Robin raised both hands, laughing. ”But if we picked a few small topics to talk about?”

”I would love that, but unfortunately, we donʼt have much time.” Pythor shook his head, then pointed in a certain direction.

”...” Robin turned in that direction as well, towards the main army battle. Things there didnʼt look good at all.
