Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1024: Jabbaʼs true thoughts

”...Did you meet that Overord?” Robin asked, gesturing toward Pythor, but directing his question to Jabba.

”....” Jabba remained silent, but his body trembled slightly.

”Haha, of course, he met him. The moment he saw the greatness of our Overlord, he immediately switched to the winning side.” Pythor laughed loudly. ”I wonder, did your personal disciple never meet your Supreme Lord? Perhaps heʼs just too shy or something? Even the Supreme Lord on Judah was seen by everyone! Or is your Overlord so weak that when the Truth Chosen Jabba saw ours, he immediately knew who the stronger one was?”

”I want to hear it from you.” Robin didnʼt even send a glance at Pythor, instead turning to Jabba oce more with a firmer tone. ”How was your meeting with that Overlord?”

”...I only met a shard of his soul. That shard was powerful enough to destroy Nehari if it wished.” Jabba exhaled deeply as he recalled that day, his closed eyes trembling slightly. ”Even today, I still shudder when I think of it.”

Pythor nodded several times, smiling as he heard those words. He then looked toward Robin to further exert pressure, but Robin remained focused on Jabba, showing no interest in Pythor whatsoever.

”Was that enough to break you?” Robinʼs tone turned cold. ”The one who raised the banner of principles and defending the homeland, who abandoned his master willingly to protect his people. You are the same one who cast everything aside and helped destroy his own planet... because... he you are afraid?”

”People change every day. Donʼt talk about principles when you donʼt know anything about them.” Jabbaʼs tone was now angry.

Jabbaʼs reply angered Robin slightly. ”Iʼve been steadfast since my first day. I never said anything and went back on it, and I certainly never betrayed anyone because I was afraid!” ”Your words contradict the truth you know deep inside your heart!” Finally, Jabba stood up and pointed at Robin angrily. ”That day when I met the shard of the Overlordʼs soul, it effortlessly scanned my soul domain as though reading a newspaper and found no trace of a soul restraint of any kind. Whereʼs the oath tablet we used that day, me, you, and Orzon? The tablet where you passed your soul through and swore that you would not bring harm to the Nehari giants and that you came only to be a counselor and help us through this crisis. Come on, take it out and show me if you can!”

”....” Robin was completely speechless, not knowing what to say. Jabbaʼs question was very specific, and it was clear that he wasnʼt asking expecting an answer-he already knew it. ”...I burned it the day I first saw Richard.”

”..?!” Sitting beside him, Richard quickly turned toward Robin, his eyes wide in shock.

”You... you selfish bastard, for your wife, for your son, for two individuals!!” Jabba pointed at Robin angrily, raising his voice. ”...For two individuals, you condemned an entire race to extinction? My race, ME, the one who followed you and helped strengthen your empire? Itʼs been years since your meeting with your kid, more than 20 years, and Iʼve served you with all my senses, yet your hatred and animosity toward the Nihari giants have never wavered, and you even refused to assist in the mission that YOU was sent on!!”

”My empire, my war, my mission, my rules. Why should I listen to you when you order me to move and go to Nihari? I have my own way of handling the war and the nihari giantsʼ race. I never said I intended to exterminate them, and I never said I would stand by doing nothing. All you had to do was trust me.” Robin responded firmly, ”But you were too arrogant to listen, werenʼt you? Because you were one of the higher-ups of the empire, so strong and so important, you somehow thought you could order me around, and I would obey!”

He continued, ”Secondly, what did you do when you broke the ties between us and returned to the Eastern Region to warn them and take charge? Did they welcome you with open arms when you tried to strengthen them and help them? Didnʼt they attack and betray you? Didnʼt you need to isolate the Nehari giants and destroy them yourself? You single-handedly destroyed all the giant tribes in the Eastern region, every single one of them! What exactly did you save by returning to them? The handful you threw into prison?”

”.....” Pythor and the marshals shifted their gazes toward Jabba, eagerly awaiting his response. This conversation was incredibly entertaining!

”Nonsense! I was trying to save the Nihari giantsʼ race, not preserve the existing order. If I had to destroy them to save a handful of them, whatʼs the problem with that? As for you... you intended to exterminate them all, and thatʼs why you destroyed the oath tablet!” Jabbaʼs shouting grew louder, ”I stood by you for nearly 50 years, I built the Nihari Union Sect with you stone by stone, and returned to conquer Planet Jura and Planet Greenland with you. I helped you develop your combat style and introduced you to blood research, I stood by you and helped with my very soul and blood! I built a array for a completely new body- strengthening system just for you, for hellʼs sake!! And in the end? You condemned my entire race to extinction for a dead woman, a woman you never even loved!”

Disturbance

Richard stood up. ”Say that again, I dare you!” A thick killing intent radiated from every inch of his body, sending chills down everyoneʼs spine, even Pythor, whose thick hair seemed to recoil as if merging with his seat.

Caesar and Sakaar also seemed on alert, both knowing very well what Lady Mila meant in Robinʼs heart.

Even Holak shook his head. ”Tsk tsk, that was a cheap shot, my friend~”

”...Calm down, let him show whatʼs in his heart.” The only one who remained calm on the surface was Robin, who pulled Richardʼs hand and sat him back down. He then turned to Jabba once more, his tone extremely cold. ”Go on, my dear disciple, continue.”

Baah

Jabba took two steps back and collapsed into his seat, suddenly feeling as though his head was too heavy, supporting it with both hands. ”...Iʼm sorry, I didnʼt mean to dishonor the memory of Lady Mila. I was just... Iʼm sorry.”

”No need to apologize.” Robin, with cold eyes and a steady tone, shifted his gaze away from Jabba. ”I was only trying to figure out whether you were forced, or if you did all this willingly, and now I have my answer. Thereʼs no need to say any more.”

Then he turned to look Pythor in the eye, his gaze still cold, but deep within them, a volcano was clearly waiting to erupt. His next words were a testament to that: ”I completely reject your foolish offer. I wonʼt return the nine planets to you without compensation, and I wonʼt give up an inch of Nihari. If you donʼt have a reasonable offer, your corpses will turn into demon shit by the end of the day!”
