Chapter 254 Gap

Chapter 254 Gap
Zhang Cheng had never encountered such a situation before, and he couldn’t help but recall what Old Buck said to him at that time.

”This kind of electronic sensor can be used after inserting the scanning chip. When using it, you need to hold it in your hand and stop to scan when you walk through a place, because the distance between the bloodthirsty necklace and the remaining accessories The signal is actually not very obvious, not enough to reach the point where the sensor can catch it casually.”

Old Buck made it very clear at the time, that is to say, although there are signals generated by the correlation between the bloodthirsty necklace and its advanced accessories, this signal is not actually very strong.

Although Old Buck converted this connection into an electrical signal, Zhang Cheng still needed to turn on manual scanning to confirm whether there was a resonance signal in the locality before he walked through a place.

But what is the situation before Zhang Cheng now?
Not to mention actively turning on the electronic sensor to scan, Zhang Cheng didn’t even take the electronic sensor out of his backpack.

But the electronic sensor directly and automatically sensed the signal at this time and popped up the pop-up window?

Of course, what Old Buck said at the time could not be lying to himself, and based on Old Buck’s knowledge, the probability of his judgment being wrong is not high.

”So... it is probably because the resonance signal here is very strong? Why is it so strong, it should be because there is not just one accessory here...”

”If there is any place where several advanced accessories can exist at the same time, then this place must be Bertram’s lair, the general infection lair of the entire infection camp!”

”I found what I was looking for!”

Zhang Cheng stared at the dark abyss below. He had never encountered an infection nest built in such a terrain as the cracked abyss.

Now Zhang Cheng is in a bit of trouble. Where should he invade from so as not to be discovered?

He has a better understanding of the terrain of ordinary infected people’s lairs, so he has an idea of how to sneak in.

But this crack...

Zhang Cheng could only take one step at a time. The electronic sensors had already sensed the signal, which meant that the infection nest could not be very far away.

Zhang Cheng disguised his actions and looked like an infected person who was too ordinary to be any more ordinary.

But in fact, Zhang Cheng seemed to be walking dead like other infected people, but he had been secretly looking at the surrounding environment.

What made Zhang Cheng even more anxious was that he had wandered around here for a long time, but he still couldn’t find the entrance of the infected person’s lair.

This can’t help but make Zhang Cheng wonder, could it be that he made a wrong judgment just now, and the infection nest is not here at all?
Could it be that the electronic sensor is faulty?Otherwise, why would it pop up on its own initiative today...

But at this moment, Zhang Cheng suddenly felt a slight tremor coming from the ground, it felt as if some huge monster was turning over in the land under Zhang Cheng’s feet.

Zhang Cheng’s eyes lit up. He knew that he had found a place, but he had never seen this kind of infected person’s lair before, and he still needed to do more exploration.

Zhang Cheng is not the only infected person around this set of gaps. On the contrary, there are many infected people around the gaps, just like Zhang Cheng in disguise.

After all, Zhang Cheng is just a disguised infected person, not a real infected person. If he is a real infected person, then he can feel very comfortable staying in the surrounding area.

From the perspective of the infected person, there are actually many active molecules that infect the spores around this crack.

Infection spores are one of the main means of reproduction of infecting creatures, but they are also the source of the power of infecting creatures.

Infection spores, in addition to producing infectious organisms after they mature, can also secrete some active substances, which are very attractive to many infectious organisms.

Why is it easier to give birth to intelligent-level infected creatures in the lairs of infected people? To a large extent, it is because there are a large number of infected spore clusters in the infected nests, so there is also a high concentration of spore secretions in the air.

Being in this environment all the time, the strength of infected organisms will be improved faster, and they will have a greater chance of developing wisdom.

Zhang Cheng also couldn’t feel the concentration of this active substance, otherwise he wouldn’t need the prompt of the electronic sensor, and he could guess that there might be infection nests around here just by looking at the concentration of the active substance.

Zhang Cheng was not afraid of being exposed among these infected people. After all, those intelligent infected creatures, who would have the leisure to observe ordinary infected people wandering around outside.

But be careful when sailing for thousands of years. Although there are many other infected people around who are covering themselves in disguise, Zhang Cheng still has to try his best to maintain the disguise on his body and not reveal too obvious flaws, otherwise if he is unlucky If any infected creature happened to see it, his identity would be immediately suspected.

Zhang Cheng quickly discovered a pattern of movement of the infected people around - although they were all wandering around the crack, seemingly without a sense of direction, in fact they were all subconsciously avoiding the same direction.

Logically speaking, infected creatures would run around aimlessly, but now they are subconsciously afraid to get too close to the middle of the crack.

If the spore secretions in the cracks are attracting these infected creatures, then they should be driven closer to the cracks.

What they are showing now is that they don’t dare to get too close, especially in the middle of the crack. Zhang Cheng quickly wondered whether the entrance of the infected person’s lair is in the crack, and in the middle of the crack?

Because of the death order issued by Bertram and other intelligent level infected creatures, these ordinary infected creatures didn’t dare to approach the entrance of the infected lair at all, and only dared to rub the spore secretion at a farther place.

Zhang Cheng looked around and confirmed that there were no powerful infected creatures staring at him, and then he walked slowly towards the middle of the crack.

Zhang Cheng can no longer walk as he pleases like before. If there are really infection nests around here, there must be intelligent level infection creatures.

External camouflage can only confuse ordinary infected people. For intelligent level infected people, it is best for him to camouflage his own way of action.

From the upper section of the crack to the middle section of the crack, the distance is only a few hundred meters, but it took Zhang Cheng more than [-] minutes.

Mainly, as an ’infected person’ now, he can’t keep walking in one direction. It’s normal to take two steps to change the direction, so it took him a lot of time.
