Chapter 214 Cut corners

Chapter 214 Cut corners
Players naturally also want to know what happened on the day of the final battle, and how the Federation repelled the powerful enemy.

I heard from some federal soldiers that at the end of the war, an extremely powerful infected creature appeared.

It’s impossible to get a glimpse of the size of the infected creature, since most of its body is hidden underground.

The players only know that as soon as this powerful plant-type infected creature appeared, it would directly destroy the entire federal defense line.

And in that destroyed area, almost no federal fighters survived.

It’s just that none of them knew that Zhang Chengcheng was one of the fighters who successfully escaped from that ruined area.

The Federal Awards Ceremony began, and the person standing on the podium to give a speech was Admiral Alex.

Alex first made a general summary of the war, and then expressed his praise and admiration to the brave soldiers who fought bravely, and expressed his regret to the soldiers who died in battle.

The Federation will definitely treat these brave and dedicated soldiers in the war properly, and will also reward those who performed outstandingly in the war.

After Alex spoke, he began to issue rewards to the worthy fighters.

The first is the federal architects. While this war is still brewing, almost all the federal architects are involved in the construction of the defense line.

The architects worked together, and it took only three days to build a solid line of defense.

Without this line of defense, the federation might not even be able to drag Bertram to make a move, and the entire frontline would collapse.

Therefore, for these hard-working and hard-working architects, the Federation will also give generous rewards.

A famous architect went to the venue of the award ceremony to receive the award. For different architects, the awards issued are quite different.

After all, there is a huge gap among architects. Some architects have built dozens or even hundreds of fortifications, and the quality is extremely good, such as the master builder of Angmar, the top architect of success and failure.

And some architects were completely nailed to the pillar of shame in this operation, such as the white-bearded old architect who had been at odds with Zhang Cheng before.

Not only did the white-bearded old architect not perform very well during those three days of construction work, but as a top architect, the fortifications he built were not even as good as some senior architects.

You must know that there is a big gap between every level of architects, and the white-bearded old architect obviously didn’t try his best during the construction project.

This is nothing. Originally, the Federation could not force the architects to work tirelessly and day and night to build fortifications.

But the white-bearded old architect was not only lazy in construction activities, but even had crooked ideas.

The Federation has prepared a large amount of building materials in advance, and the construction of these building materials is incalculable.

After all, it used the foundation accumulated by the Federation over the years. Faced with a war of this scale, the Federation had no idea of holding back.

However, under such imminent circumstances, the old architect paid attention to free building materials.

You must know that the architects of the Federation usually need to continuously accumulate building materials.

If an architect does not have enough building materials, then he can only help others to build buildings, but with his own building materials, he can build his own works as he wants.

The white-bearded old architect had always had an idea in his mind. He had been thinking about it for a long time, and he must come up with an eye-catching work.

Last time in the architect competition, Angmar didn’t pay much attention to him. Instead, he noticed the young Zhang Cheng. Isn’t it because Zhang Cheng has a novel manor villa?
From that day on, the idea of independently building works in his heart became more and more irresistible.

But he also has to face a problem, that is, he still has a huge gap in building materials.

He vowed to create an incomparable work, so of course he was unwilling to simplify when designing the building structure. He strived for the complexity and beauty of the building, and integrated all the elements into his work.

He even often fantasizes that if his work comes out one day, it will definitely set off a huge wave in the federal construction industry!
His ambition is also a burden. In order to build such a work, he needs to prepare a large amount of building materials.

Many of these building materials are relatively rare and may not always be available.

So when he saw the unlimited supply of building materials from the Federation, he couldn’t help thinking about something else.

When building fortifications on the front line, the architect only needs to show his architect qualification certificate, and then he can register with the Federation and receive building materials.

Every time before building a fortification, the architect can go over and collect all the materials needed to build the fortification.

In any case, the Federation was under great material pressure in the face of the war, so even if there was an unlimited supply of building materials to architects, it would still supervise the use of building materials by architects.

How much building material is needed to build a fortification needs to be registered and verified, which also prevents architects from secretly pocketing these building materials.

In order to obtain these building materials, the white-bearded old architect did not hesitate to secretly replace and save a lot of building materials used in the fortifications.

He secretly hid the saved building materials by himself, and after three days passed, he returned to the Federation with these building materials.

Anyway, the fortifications are not what he wants to defend, so he will not be directly affected.

However, after the battle began, some of the fortifications he built quickly collapsed under the attack of the infection wave, killing many soldiers.

At that time, the federal army hadn’t noticed this phenomenon, and it was only after some federal soldiers survived these fortifications that they reported this problem to the federation.

After subsequent verification by relevant personnel, it was found that these fortifications did indeed cut corners.

For this reason, the federal government urgently arrested the white-bearded architect overnight and put the white-bearded architect on trial.

Architect Baibeard still wanted to refuse to admit it, but later, federal inspectors discovered many federal-specific building materials, and his charges were confirmed.

In the end, the white-bearded architect also got the punishment he deserved, because of the many soldiers who died because of him, someone must take this responsibility.

His deserved crime also awakened many people. The Federation treats every survivor equally, but if someone does something that harms the interests of the Federation, they will definitely not be forgiven.
