Chapter 29

Chapter 29
Next, Zhang Chengcheng set his sights on upgrading the manor.

[Current manor level: Level 1 manor, can be upgraded]

[Required for upgrade:

Wooden board*30
Stone brick*30
Coarse cloth*30
bone*20]

Zhang Cheng has accumulated a lot of supplies, but there are still some shortages to upgrade the manor.

Fortunately, the system mall has refreshed several materials and products today, and Zhang Cheng can directly buy discounted materials in the mall.

Alliance Points - 590.
[Do you want to upgrade the manor? (Upgrade takes 120 seconds)]

Zhang Cheng clicked to confirm, and then a series of changes began to take place in Zhang Cheng’s manor.

The area of the manor began to expand further outside, the foundation for building the house also had a larger area, and the farm outside the foundation also expanded a lot.

[The manor level has been upgraded to level 2, do you want to check the upgrade details? 】

Zhang Cheng followed the prompts and clicked down, and then all the changes related to the upgrade of the manor were listed on the system panel.

[New maps have been unlocked - Wushan Mine, Yuanxing High School, players can go there by themselves through the helicopter entrance and exit]

[Unlocked formula blueprint - level 1 building strengthening material]

[Unlocked recipe blueprint—cowhide sofa]

[Recipe Blueprint Unlocked - Garden Wooden Bed]

……

[Unlocked Formula Blueprint - Baseball Cap]

Manor upgrade unlocks a series of recipes, most of which are related to buildings and furniture, except for a hat equipment recipe, a baseball cap.

Hat equipment is still relatively rare at present. In addition to upgrading the manor, there is also a hat formula that can be extracted in the primary formula synthesis.

But Zhang Cheng didn’t waste too many formula fragments to extract hats from primary synthesis, because he knew that level 2 manor would unlock baseball caps.

[Baseball cap, attribute:
HP+20
Armor+2
Headshot damage -8%]

Baseball caps don’t add much health or armor, but headshot damage reduction is a useful stat.

Not only headshots from long-range firearms, but damage from melee attacks to the head can also be reduced.

Headshot damage is often very high, and reducing headshot damage can improve the player’s survivability to a certain extent.

[Baseball cap, production:
Muslin: 0/10
Animal Hide: 0/10
Beast Tendon: 0/10]

Since the baseball cap is a formula unlocked by the level 2 manor, some of the raw materials for its production must be mined from the level [-] resource map.

For example, fine cloth is made of coarse cloth and jute stem bark. Jute bark needs to be obtained by collecting hemp resources in the secondary resource map.

Zhang Cheng is not sure whether anyone other than him has been promoted to the second-level manor in the area where he is now.

If not, he is the only player who can enter the second-level map now.

”Then I can go to Yuanxing University first? Now that there are few people, isn’t it easy to get blood diamonds?”

Far Star High School is a map that focuses on battles between players, and the entire map itself is like a huge mission field.

When entering Yuanxing High School, every player has a common task goal, which is to collect red blood diamonds.

Red blood diamonds can be obtained by killing wild monsters on the map, or by finding treasure chests scattered on the map, and obtaining blood diamonds by opening the treasure chests.

Finally, players can look for mysterious caravans on the map, where players can exchange blood diamonds for many rewards.

Yuanxing High School was once a nightmare for previous players. This was due to a characteristic of blood diamonds—after being killed, all the blood diamonds on the player’s body would fall out.

Generally, when a player dies in the wild, only a part of the items in the backpack will drop, while blood diamonds will drop all of them.

Therefore, it is much easier and faster to plunder the blood diamonds of other players than to search for blood diamonds all over the map.

In addition, the resurrection coins will not be deducted when the player dies in Yuanxing High School, which means that the player can be resurrected continuously in Yuanxing High School, and then join the battlefield all the time.

There is also a penalty for dying in Yuanxing High School, that is, the durability of the equipment on the player will drop quickly.

Every time a player dies, the durability of the equipment worn by the player will be deducted.

Equipment is not a permanent item. Once the durability is exhausted, the equipment is equivalent to being scrapped and can only be repaired or replaced.

Zhang Cheng thought about the rich rewards from Yuanxing University and immediately took action.

It is precisely because of the generous rewards given by the mysterious caravan that Yuanxing High School is often very dangerous.

At this moment, taking advantage of the lack of people, Zhang Cheng had to scoop him up first if he said anything.

Before Zhang Cheng left the manor, he watered the crops in the farmland, and then asked his fellow campers to take care of them for a while, before embarking on a new journey.

On the helicopter, Zhang Cheng was sitting alone, with his uzi next to him.

……

An area where no players have stepped foot yet, a dark underground cave.

”Hey... You mean, a large number of new humans suddenly appeared in the green forest? Hey.” I saw a pair of red eyes suddenly opened in a pool of black carrion in the cave.

”Reporting to Baron Allelido, yes, but the strength of these humans is generally not high, and there is no possibility of endangering the Green Forest.” A mutated infected person was crawling on the ground outside the cave.

The werewolf was respectful: ”However, since their number is too large, and their strength seems to be growing rapidly, if this continues, I’m afraid it will affect the progress of the infection in the green forest...”

”I see.” The voice in the cave was silent for a moment, ”I will let my children go to investigate. The green forest will eventually become a paradise for infection.”

After a while, a terrifying figure set off from the wasteland and headed straight for the A0279 survivor camp.

……

The helicopter is about to arrive at Yuanxing High School. There is an electronic screen on the helicopter, and the player can see the estimated arrival time on it.

Zhang Cheng browsed the game forums on the plane. From yesterday to today, most people have realized that end-time games are not illusory.

In just over a day, some people could no longer make a sound.

Hunger, infection, virus, weather, monsters...

Every player needs to face these problems. There are also some people who collapsed in the predicament and can only seek help on this game forum, and some people are actively looking for solutions to the predicament and discussing countermeasures in the forum.

Zhang Cheng has contributed many tips to the game forum that are not easy for novice players to discover. Although they are small details gained from accumulated experience, they can give countless players more hope of survival.

Zhang Cheng sighed softly. Although he knew what the road ahead was, and although he knew that many players would not be able to persist in the end, there was only so much he could do.

[Dear survivors, your destination ’Far Star High School’ has arrived. Survivors must act cautiously in the wild, and I wish you a safe return. 】

Zhang Cheng heard the electronic sound of the system, put away the system panel, and stepped off the plane.
