Chapter 6 Special Infection

Wood +5
Wood +5
Collect experience points +5
Collect experience points +5
……

The acquisition of collection experience points depends on the amount of main resources obtained in each collection. For example, Zhang Cheng is now holding a primary collection draft to get 5 wood each time he cuts wood, and the collection experience points obtained are also 5 points.

Zhang Cheng is surrounded by trees, but not all the trees can be collected, only the trees recognized by the game as resource points can be collected.

The same is true for ore and hemp resources.

The collection pickaxe is an ax on one side and a pickaxe on the other side, which can be used for logging, ore mining, and hemp harvesting.

Thinking of this, Zhang Cheng couldn’t help but miss the high-level collection pick he used before. The high-level collection pick can not only provide higher collection speed and collection crit rate, but also have a main resource collection ability of 20, which can be equal to four axes with one ax.

The first resource tree quickly fell under Zhang Cheng’s axe. Zhang Cheng swung the ax ten times, harvesting 50 wood and 50 gathering experience points.

Next to another resource tree, Zhang Cheng took a breath, and then dropped the pickaxe.

Wood +10 (crit), twigs +2 (crit)
Collect experience points +10
The first ax made a good start, not only produced secondary resources, but also critically hit the main and secondary resources at the same time.

Every time you collect the main resources are fixed drops, and the secondary resources are dropped with a chance. For most equipment and furniture, the secondary resources are the main production materials.

This resource tree provided Zhang Cheng with 60 wood and 3 small branches in total.

[Collection, level 1, experience value: 110/1000]

The experience points required for each upgrade of the three major levels increase step by step. Each time you upgrade to a level, the required experience points will be 1000 more for the next time.
1级需要1000经验值，2级需要2000经验值，3级3000，经验值即=等级*1000.
Therefore, the earlier you get up in the game, the easier it is to level up. Like now, Zhang Cheng only needs to cut 2 trees to upgrade to level [-] collection.

But collecting is not an easy task, the thing that consumes the most satiety in the game is collecting.

After cutting down two trees, Zhang Cheng’s satiety has dropped from 72 to [-], and there is a buff to keep his satiation at a high level.

For example, if the hunger degree is above 5, the running speed will increase by 5%, if the hunger degree is above [-], the gathering speed will increase by [-]%.

And when the satiety drops below [-], the running speed will be reduced, and if it is below [-], the blood volume will be gradually lost.

Many players didn’t notice this detail at first, but Zhang Cheng had developed an instinct to control the satiety in his mind, and kept paying attention to the value of the satiety.

There are [-] slots in Zhang Cheng’s backpack, and there are [-] slots in addition to the items he carries. Now there is an extra slot of wood and twigs, and there are still [-] empty slots left.

Materials and other items can be stacked in the backpack, such as wood and stone, a grid can hold [-] wood or stones, and auxiliary resources can generally be stacked [-].

Open the system panel and click into the recipe interface, where Zhang Cheng can view the recipes he has unlocked.

[Special fertilizers can greatly increase crop yields and slightly shorten the maturity time of crops.

Crafting needs:

Wood: 10/110
Hemp: 5/0
Lime 1/0]

[Gatherer wristband (accessory), main resource collection speed +8%, main resource collection crit rate +4%, secondary resource acquisition rate +4%

Plank: 10/0
Cosmetic Cloth: 10/0
Energy chip: 1/0]

Both the special fertilizer and the collector’s wristband are things that Zhang Cheng needs to make, because he grows five wheat plants at home, so he needs five bags of special fertilizer.

And the gatherer wristband requires more resources, especially the energy chip is not so common.

After calculating the type and quantity of resources he probably needs to collect, Zhang Cheng continued to walk towards the front of the forest.

Suddenly there was a rustling sound from the grass beside him, Zhang Li immediately switched out of the uzi from the inventory, and aimed his gun in the direction of the sound.

Swish!
A strong wild wolf suddenly burst out of the jungle and pounced on Zhang Cheng at extremely fast speeds.

[Wild wolf, level 2, HP: 100/100]

Zhang Cheng pulled the trigger almost the moment the wolf showed its head. After a few gunshots, the blood bar of the wolf was emptied, and the corpse slid to Zhang Cheng’s feet along the inertia.

Zhang Cheng bent down to touch the corpse.

[Get raw meat*1, get bone*1]

Raw meat can be used to cook food, and bones are commonly used production materials. Put the two trophies into the backpack column, and Zhang Cheng moves forward quickly.

The sound of gunfire would attract other monsters around. Zhang Cheng did not want to stay here for too long and left quietly.

Nearly an hour later, Zhang Cheng had a lot more resources in his backpack, almost filling his inventory.

”These materials are almost enough, and now there is only one energy chip...”

After this hour of collection, Zhang Cheng’s collection level has reached level 2, and he has obtained an attribute point that can be assigned.

Without thinking too much, Zhang Cheng allocated this attribute point to the logging speed, which increased the logging speed by 2%.

In the early days, the demand for wood was the largest, so Zhang Cheng gave priority to increasing the logging speed.

[Federal Emergency Proclamation!Federal Emergency Proclamation! The federal exploration team has detected abnormal movements of special infected bodies in the ’Green Forest’, please pay attention to all survivors. 】

”Here we come!” Zhang Cheng’s eyes lit up slightly. He had already mined enough resources. The reason why he waited for a while and didn’t go home was because he was waiting for this special infected body to regenerate.

The special infected body is the map boss. The map boss will be refreshed from time to time every day. Players who defeat the boss can receive generous rewards.

This game announcement immediately attracted the attention of all players. The announcement included boss details, and the players checked it out one after another.

Zhang Cheng opened the announcement to check the location of the special infected body, and found that the Federation had detected three special infected bodies this time, one of which was not far away from him.

So Zhang Cheng recovered the pickaxe to his backpack, switched to an empty-handed state and ran towards the nearest special infected body.

”Now the players should all have made bows and arrows, right? As long as there are more players, plus my uzi, it shouldn’t be a problem to push down this boss.”

Zhang Cheng missed this boss very much, because it was related to the last link of his collector’s wristband-whether he could get the energy chip.

Zhang Cheng was not far from the boss, and soon touched a small hill next to the boss.

The special infected body was a huge spider, at least as tall as a small building with two or three floors, and its long spider legs had a metallic luster.

There are several player backpacks around the special infected body-the leftovers after the player is killed.

Players will die in the game, each player initially has ten resurrection coins, and resurrection coins can only be obtained through some very few special ways.

Anyway, some acquaintances Zhang Cheng knew in his previous life spent all the resurrection coins, and Zhang Cheng never saw them again.
