Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 877: Little Black System, and Light Technology

Xiao He readily admitted, ”That software was indeed made by me, and all the other AI technologies used in this operation were also provided by me.”

The old professor put down his phone and continued to stare at Xiao He probingly, ”Do you know what this is for?”

”This AI map can analyze the psychological state of patrol personnel by monitoring their activity trajectories in real time, simulate their action logic, and automatically analyze the best safe route in combination with the map, making it easier for users to make more comprehensive infiltration options.”

Xiao He paused at this point.

”At the same time, it can analyze the current monitoring situation and patrol vulnerabilities in the region, thereby planning more comprehensive security protection measures. After connecting to the regional central control terminal, it can enhance the monitoring and protection system, intelligently analyze abnormal situations, and become a monitoring security AI steward.”

Although Xiao He said the last sentence without batting an eye, he actually knew that the softwareʼs main purpose was stealth and breakthrough, and it was more like something used for doing bad things.

But tools are meant to be used.

Whether he does good or bad is entirely up to him.

Upon hearing Xiao Heʼs words, the old professorʼs eyes grew brighter and brighter, his fingers clenching together as if he were about to engage in an academic discussion with Xiao He at any moment. Meanwhile, the police officer beside him, looking at the documents in his hand, continued to question Xiao He: ”I see that you own a technology company. Is the AI system that this company is currently developing the same AI system that your software is running?”

“Yes.” Xiao He nodded, then said somewhat embarrassedly, “The name of this system is Xiao Hei. It hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, but it has already spawned related software technology, and after the recent upgrade, it has now officially reached version 2.0.”

If it werenʼt for this operation, he might not have leveled up so quickly.

Xiao He, who had been somewhat slacking off, scratched his head and remembered the tech company he had forgotten about in the corner. He continued, ”However, version 2.0 has the help of my classmate, who is currently working at my tech company and is further developing and updating the version.”

The police officer handed the documents to the elderly professor next to him. The professor, wearing glasses, carefully reviewed them, then his expression grew increasingly complicated: ”He Guang Technology? The Little Black System? Iʼve never heard of it before...”

After a long silence, the old professor and the police officer exchanged a glance before moving on to the next important topic: ”So letʼs continue our discussion. Your AI system is capable of high-level autonomous decision-making, even helping you use the password for the Japaneseʼs safe. Just how far has the development of this system progressed...?”

-

Meanwhile, the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

Wang, an engineer from the AI technology R&D team, clocked in for work as usual.

As soon as he arrived at the research institute, he saw his familiar group members gathered around a table, studying something in detail.

”Whatʼs going on? What are you doing? Could it be that the latest version of System XI has another bug?”

Feeling puzzled, Wang Gong leaned forward and asked.

”Ah, Old Wang.”

His groupmates called out to him, ”Come and take a look at this software, I think itʼs quite interesting.”

He then showed his phone to Engineer Wang.

Itʼs a map-like software that allows you to zoom in on address icons, locate locations, and even see some surveillance footage of the area.

The monitored area was naturally an authorized school area they found, and with the help of software map monitoring, there didnʼt seem to be anything special about it.

”This is?”

Wang knew that if it were just that, the other party probably wouldnʼt have asked him to come and see for himself, so he simply took the phone and tapped around on the app to learn more.

A few minutes later, his expression turned serious.

”The AI system on this map... is quite interesting.”

Engineer Wang dragged a stool and sat down. ”Its intelligence is actually closer to the ideal state we have in developing AI.”

Yes, the map and navigation guidance are quite basic. Normal map software will have such basic guidance. However, this aspect has developed much faster since they have their own Beidou satellites, and most software on the market can reach this level.

Moreover, this map software itself is not simply a map navigation function.

Itʼs more like, after obtaining the relevant authorization, it can conduct deeper thinking and feedback based on the provided basic map data, thereby creating a route guide that can be used for reference.

Thatʼs why theyʼve taken notice of it.

”This AI can judge a personʼs personality by observation, deduce the logic of a personʼs future behavior, and make high-level decisions autonomously within a certain authorized range. It can be seen that it already has the self-algorithmic awareness of the main AI system. With continued training, it may really be possible to produce an AI system with super self-awareness. Such strong functionality would be a waste if it were only used for guiding.”

Wang complained, ”Whose software is this? What a waste!”

This map software feels like a show-off!

”If this technology can continue to develop and be integrated into the Skynet system, it can do even more! It can plan and control urban traffic operations, autonomously adjust traffic conditions in various places according to actual situations, or observe public behavior, conduct crime simulation detection, and prevent crime in advance, thereby further ensuring national security... Later, when it is integrated into machines and equipment, it may even usher in the era of machine intelligence!”

Almost instantly, Engineer Wang came up with several different usage modes for different scenarios.

Although the current technological development in this area may still involve various problems, the prototype has already begun to emerge. As long as it is nurtured and developed in this direction, the future prospects are very broad.

This is also the problem that Engineer Wang finds most unacceptable.

With such advanced AI technology, why are you using it for these somewhat unorthodox and unethical things? Isnʼt there something wrong with the direction of its development?!

Finally, he shook the phone: ”And if youʼre going to do research, why donʼt you use a PC program? This phone is already scorching hot after Iʼve only held it for a short while.”

He couldnʼt help but place the phone on the table and rub his fingers together: ”If I let it run any longer, this phone will probably get so hot that I could fry an egg on it.”

Those standing nearby looked on with strange expressions upon hearing his assessment.

”This software is currently only available for Android, not for PC.”

”What?”

This time, Engineer Wang was truly shocked. He endured the heat and picked up his phone to check it again: ”Are you kidding me? How could there be no computer version?”

As we all know, high-performance and highly complex AI is definitely stronger on PCs, while mobile devices can only produce simplified and crippled versions.

The fundamental reason for this is the huge gap in core hardware. AI requires computing power and high-load operation, which mobile phones can hardly handle at present.

But now, he sees someone actually defying the Heavenly Gang, installing such AI into a mobile phone app, and the abilities it retains are actually quite good.

Wang Gong found it hard to imagine what the complete experience would look like in the hands of a programmer.

”Ah, we donʼt know much about it here either. It was sent to us by a professor from a college in Hong Kong to help with our research. Itʼs an internal secret, and we need to wait for them to send us more details.”

The person then glanced at their phone and immediately said, ”Itʼs here! Itʼs an AI system developed by a Shanghai-based tech company called Heguang Technology, and the system is called Xiao Hei?!”

”Little Black?”

Some were shocked, some were puzzled.

”Why do I feel like Iʼve heard this name somewhere before?”

At this moment, Engineer Wang also began to mutter to himself.

”Has anyone heard of this?”

Fortunately, these technicians were all fairly bright and had good memories. Soon, one of them pulled out something from the corner: ”I remember there was an AI-powered drone-mounted automatic patrol and rescue detection system that appeared at the beginning of this year. At that time, many drone manufacturers were vying to cooperate with the company that developed that system. If I remember correctly, that company was Heguang Technology.”

Immediately, someone nodded in agreement: ”Ah, right! I remember now! No wonder, they must have been researching the integration of navigation and AI functions all along. I didnʼt expect them to upgrade so quickly in the blink of an eye.”

At this moment, Engineer Wang clapped his hands: ”I remember now, didnʼt I mention a while ago that the XI system version 4.1 we installed at the museumʼs restoration center had a suspected virus-like security issue? So I made a special trip to check on the situation—”

At this point, Engineer Wang remembered Professor Ye from the repair center complaining that their system was inferior to the Black System, and he couldnʼt help but want to wipe his face: ”The virus I almost thought it was was actually this Black System 1.0!”

Everything was traceable; it turns out they knew each other all along!
