Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 854: Oh no! The master suffered a backlash and vomited blood!

On the other side, there was new movement on the deck.

The small Cruise Ship in the distance drifted closer once again.

A group of people appeared on the previously quiet deck once again.

The person in charge of this restocking operation held up a walkie-talkie and began arranging for the crane at a higher level to prepare to receive the ”cargo” from the freighter.

The deck was pitch black with very little light; not even the moonlight on the sea could cast a shadow, yet the people were busy with their respective tasks, clearly divided by their duties.

This place should have been a secret, safe zone under their own control.

However, no one would have imagined that in a corner higher up, someone was hiding on a dangerous, protruding ledge outside the railing, crouching silently in the shadows and silently recording the actions of the people below.

The sea breeze in the middle of the night whistled past his ears, causing his clothes to flap. At such a height on a dangerous edge, any random movement could potentially result in a free fall; it was extremely perilous.

Yet, the person filming was not the least bit flustered, as if he were long accustomed to this. He completely ignored the height beneath his feet and didnʼt even notice that half his body was hanging in mid-air. His hand didnʼt even tremble, and the camera in his grip faithfully recorded the faces of those people and their actions.

Meanwhile, the people below continued to busy themselves with their current work.

Several people also walked into a container, preparing to use the crane arm to go to the small freighter next to them. After clarifying the situation with the other party, they would then ride the container back together with the others.

This back-and-forth movement was almost like taking an elevator—quite convenient and fast.

As for the small Cruise Ship docked near the Cruise Ship, because it appeared very tiny compared to the massive Cruise Ship, even if they looked down from a high position on the Cruise Ship, they still couldnʼt see the existence of that small freighter. The other party was almost completely parked in a blind spot, blocked tightly by the edge of the Cruise Ship.

Come to think of it, if the crane arm hadnʼt been moving back and forth, locking onto the general area, the people on the ship might not have noticed the freighter completely hidden in the night in the waters below the Cruise Ship, even if they had known of its approach.

It really did feel a bit like a ghost ship now.

Consequently, the person filming secretly became somewhat dissatisfied.

He glanced at the recorded content in his hand, thought for a moment, then removed this portion of the SD card. After swapping in a new SD card, he fixed it back in place. As for himself, he climbed back over the railing to a safe area.

After circling back to the safe area on the outside, Lao Qi, who had been keeping watch for him, nodded at him: ”Is it over down there?”

”Not yet. From the position above, I canʼt film that freighter.”

Tong Junhui shook his head with some regret.

Lao Qi frowned: ”How about we go down there directly? Although there might be a risk of being discovered—”

”That is indeed a problem.”

Tong Junhui fell into brief contemplation.

If they were discovered, it would alert the enemy.

Xiao He had just told him that a victim had escaped from the lower deck, and they were already on high alert down there. The only fortunate thing was that he had already subdued Bao Wenyin at the time, so the news was currently only spreading on the lower deck, and the people on that side and the people on the upper deck were not yet aware of it.

But if the news from this side were to spread, it was unclear whether it would alert the criminal gang on the freighter.

Although one person escaping on the vast sea wasnʼt a big deal to them, what if? It was possible the other party was exceptionally cautious, realized something was wrong, and sailed away, which would be troublesome.

It would be best for him to film the general situation and appearance of that freighter and transmit it back to the Police. That way, if anything happened, there might still be a chance to pursue and capture them...

Suddenly, Tong Junhui had a flash of inspiration. He walked quickly to the railing and looked down, happening to see a large piece of equipment protruding in the distance.

”I know a place where I might be able to film it—”

Tong Junhui pointed over there: ”The craneʼs operator cabin.”

The crane over there was designed to rotate to both sides to unload cargo for both ships. Although that part was connected to the shipʼs hull, a portion could be temporarily separated to allow for operation with a better field of view, using the crane arm to transfer large containers between the two ships.

Therefore, there was no better vantage point than there.

Lao Qi also looked in that direction, and after thinking for a moment, he also felt this was a very good idea.

”Good.”

Thus, the two followed the path indicated on the phone map and quietly made their way toward the crane cabin.

And this map of theirs was, of course, provided by Xiao He. He really had provided everyone with so much help this time...

—

As for him personally?

At this moment, Xiao He was still trying every possible way to delay time.

Their door had just been knocked on again.

This time, the attendant outside asked again about the situation of the master named Wensa, and asked if the ritual was going smoothly and when he could go to the other guestsʼ rooms.

Only then did Xiao He realize that this Wensa was truly not simple; he was one of the important leaders of this evil cult criminal group, a role similar to a mastermind.

The most important point was that he was supposed to go to each guestʼs room one by one to perform the ritual. Only then could the guests who had entered the rooms formally participate in the so-called ”fortune-changing” activity, allowing those guys to harm others openly and without any psychological burden.

But now, this so-called master was already unconscious at his feet, unable to come out and perform the ritual for everyone.

As long as Wensa did not go to the rooms to perform the ritual, the others would temporarily not carry out further harmful acts against those victims.

In this way, those victims on the ship were at least safe for the time being.

But Xiao He also knew that he could only delay for a while; he couldnʼt drag it out for too long.

The guests who could participate in this lower-deck activity were not people with good tempers or dispositions. If he kept stalling, they would definitely come to the door to demand an explanation.

And he couldnʼt stay in this room forever, dealing with the endless stream of people.

After all, he could fool one person, but he really couldnʼt fool a whole group!

Once those people discovered a problem, they would definitely become vigilant immediately, and by then, even he would find it hard to escape.

So what should he do?

Xiao He looked at the two people on the floor, thought for a moment, and decisively began a new plan.

—

A few minutes later, Bao Wenyin opened the door and ran out in a rush.

”Help! Someone come quickly! Someone go call a doctor!”

Hearing Bao Wenyinʼs shouts, the security personnel in the corridor immediately trotted over to ask about the situation.

”Itʼs bad! The master was backlashed by his own magic power while performing the ritual, and now he is vomiting blood uncontrollably! Hurry and call someone to come take a look! What should we do?”

Bao Wenyin said with a worried tone, but what he was worried about was not Wensaʼs life, but his business.

”And the other guests are still waiting for him to continue the ritual! With him in this state, what will happen to our business?”

Following Bao Wenyinʼs words, the others who had rushed over looked into the room in unison and sure enough, they saw Wensa lying on the ground, twitching constantly, with fresh blood continuously gushing from his mouth.

The sight was terrifying.

The others were immediately frightened and began to call for help in a panic.

Bao Wenyin also instructed the people around him with a heavy heart: ”Go quickly and steady the other guests. Tell them the master has had an accident! Today is not a good day for anything; the ritual may have to be postponed! It is best if they do not act rashly inside their rooms! Once the masterʼs condition stabilizes, I will immediately bring him to apologize to everyone!”

The attendant nodded in agreement while looking at the person still vomiting blood on the floor, feeling somewhat uneasy in his heart: The master has vomited to this extent, can his condition really stabilize in a while? Could it be that he might die?

Meanwhile, the other guests who had not yet entered the rooms immediately became somewhat unhappy: ”Does that mean the ritual tonight cannot be performed?”

”Tsk, what is wrong with this master? How could he suffer a backlash himself? Is his ability to change fortune even any good?”

Just as the scene was in chaos, a figure calmly slipped out of the room amidst the disorder, mixed in with the other guests openly and honestly, and then walked toward the outside against the flow of people.
