Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 588: Chaotic Confrontation and Curses, Suspicion of Illness

”Jiang Junjie, what are you doing?”

A hoarse voice sounded from behind, like the voice of an evil ghost emerging from hell.

Jiang Junjie was scared half to death, letting out a startled cry: ”Ahhh! Who, who is it?”

And with his voice, the other two people were also woken up.

”Huh? Whatʼs going on?”

”What happened?”

Yun Ziqi turned over and barely opened his eyes. Ding Cheng also rubbed his eyes, managing to squint open a slit.

”Is it time to get up?”

It was only then that Jiang Junjie finally saw clearly who was asking him—

”Tea, Teacher Xiao, sorry, sorry for waking you all up.”
Jiang Junjie quickly put away the scissors and apologized sincerely.

”What were you doing standing by the bed holding a pair of scissors?”

Since everyone was already awake, Xiao He didnʼt bother lowering his voice anymore and directly demanded an answer.

And his words finally startled the other two groggy sleepers awake.

Maybe because sleeping outside wasnʼt as comfortable as sleeping at home, Ding Cheng and Yun Ziqi had just processed the meaning of Xiao Heʼs words in their sluggish brains when they both sat up in fright.

Ding Cheng looked down and saw that Jiang Junjie really seemed to be holding something in his hand. He was so scared that his speech became stuttered: ”Bro, Bro, I donʼt think Iʼve offended you, have I? What are you trying to do?”

Yun Ziqi, on the other hand, reached out and directly turned on the lamp on the bedside table.

Now everyone could clearly see Jiang Junjie holding a pair of fabric scissors in his hand.

The scene fell into an awkward silence.

”Cough, cough, cough—”

Yun Ziqi also coughed: ”Jiang Junjie, what are you doing?”

A look of embarrassment spread across Jiang Junjieʼs face. He quickly raised the scissors in his hand and explained in a flustered voice: ”This, this isnʼt what you all think. Iʼm holding these scissors... uh—”

What would someone be doing in the middle of the night, sneaking around in the dark holding scissors by the bed?

Even Jiang Junjie himself couldnʼt come up with a suitable explanation.

Ding Cheng had already jumped off the bed, squeezing over to Yun Ziqi and Xiao Heʼs side, trying to gain a sense of security from them while begging Jiang Junjie: ”Bro, Bro, whatever it is, letʼs sit down and talk, okay? Is there some misunderstanding here—”

This was almost enough to scare the piss out of someone.

Xiao He also got down from the bed directly, a warning look on his face.

”...Sigh, youʼre all really misunderstanding—”

Facing the suspicious gazes of the three people, Jiang Junjieʼs face alternated between pale and dark. Finally, unable to bear it, he gritted his teeth and lifted the blanket beside him: ”Actually... actually, itʼs because I accidentally got blood on the bedsheet, and I was afraid youʼd be scared if you saw it, so I wanted to cut out the bloodstain.”

Then he showed the scissors in his hand: ”The scissors are for cutting gauze. Theyʼre not dangerous, really.”

Everyoneʼs gaze immediately shifted to the bloodstain Jiang Junjie was pointing at.

The position of the bloodstain was strange, located right below the back of the neck, about the size of a palm, and it was indeed very conspicuous.

No wonder Xiao He had seen Jiang Junjie holding scissors and making motions around Ding Chengʼs head. He was actually trying to cut out his own section of the bedsheet.

But this was just too bizarre! Who gets up in the middle of the night to cut their own bloody bedsheet?

Xiao He stared at the person in front of him, a strange expression gradually spreading across his face.

If he had just covered it with the blanket and waited until morning, everyone might not have even noticed. But instead, he had to get up and cut the bedsheet—wasnʼt that like trying to cover up something obvious?

What might have been perfectly innocent was now, even if there was no problem, impossible to explain clearly.

Xiao He was at a loss for words. He turned to look at the other two, and sure enough, they were both dumbfounded.

”Bro, come on, why are you cutting the bedsheet in the middle of the night? Itʼs creepy as hell. If the blood got on it, it got on it. Just wash it tomorrow. Why the hell are you ruining it for no reason?”

Ding Cheng patted his chest and let out a huge sigh of relief.

Yun Ziqi, however, stared at the bedsheet, lost in thought. Only Xiao He frowned slightly and pressed further: ”Did you hurt your back? How did you bleed so much?”

Jiang Junjie pulled at the corner of his mouth, glanced cautiously at Ding Cheng and Yun Ziqi, and reluctantly explained: ”I have a pimple on my back. Tonight, I donʼt know what happened, but something poked it while I was sleeping, and it bled a lot. I got up just now to treat the wound.”

”What the hell? What kind of pimple bleeds that much? Donʼt tell me itʼs that back acne thing from the internet?”

Ding Cheng immediately cried out. ”Youʼre so nervous in the middle of the night, it canʼt be some infectious disease, can it—”

And with Ding Chengʼs words, the entire room fell into sudden, dead silence.

Jiang Junjieʼs face turned deathly pale, and he explained anxiously: ”I donʼt have one, really. Itʼs just nodular acne, not an infectious disease. I was just afraid youʼd misunderstand—”

But the next moment, Yun Ziqi had already grabbed the blanket from the bed, wrapped himself into a ball, and jumped off the bed, keeping his distance from Jiang Junjie. Meanwhile, Ding Cheng was frantically patting his own body, checking for any open wounds and whether he had come into contact with Jiang Junjieʼs blood.

Only Xiao He was still calmly putting on his shoes—because he was the farthest from Jiang Junjie.

At the same time, Xiao He was subtly observing everyoneʼs attitudes and reactions. He felt that what had happened tonight had a strange vibe to it.

Anyway, there was no way they were going back to sleep now.

The scene was utter chaos.

Ding Cheng, who had been sharing a bed with Jiang Junjie, was now trembling with fear and decisively ran out to call for help.

When Director Yang Li and the producers got up, their faces were as black as thunder.

But it was obvious that Jiang Junjie and Ding Cheng were even more freaked out.

”I told you, itʼs nodular cystic acne, not some filthy infectious disease! Itʼs really not! I have treatment records!”

Jiang Junjie tried his best to explain, but more and more people gathered around. Thinking about how his gossip would spread through the entire production team by morning, he was so angry he was practically fuming and wished he could tear Ding Cheng apart.

”If you donʼt have a disease, why were you secretly cutting the bedsheet in the middle of the night? Arenʼt you just afraid weʼd find out and trying to destroy the evidence in advance!” Ding Cheng countered, also freaking out. ”Otherwise, what, were you holding those scissors to kill me?”

”Bullshit! I have no grudge against you! Why the hell would I stab you with scissors in the middle of the night? Am I crazy?”

Jiang Junjie had originally just wanted to avoid random speculation, so that his illness wouldnʼt be blown out of proportion. But now that Ding Cheng had yelled it out, his actions had turned into solid evidence of guilt. Jiang Junjie felt like his head was about to explode.

”Who... who knows if you heard some rumor from somewhere.”

”...Fuck! I get it now! This was definitely your doing, wasnʼt it, you bastard? Damn it, I knew one of you was pulling some shit behind my back, trying to steal that role, right? Fuck, one of you definitely set me up! How else would I randomly start bleeding out of nowhere? If I hadnʼt secretly cut it out tonight, youʼd still use it as an excuse to start rumors about me tomorrow—”

”What the hell are you on about? Thatʼs got nothing to do with me! Donʼt go blaming random people here!”

”Fuck you—”

”Alright, alright, calm down, calm down!”

Director Yang Li quickly tried to soothe both sides, his head splitting with pain, but the two hot-tempered men were in no mood to calm down.

Jiang Junjie, thinking about the role he was about to compete for and looking at the guy who had blown his secret up, was now seriously considering actually stabbing him with the scissors.

Ding Cheng, his face pale, asked Director Yang Li: ”Director, is the road open now? I need to go back. I need to go to the city center for a checkup!”

As he spoke, he was anxiously rubbing his arms while glaring viciously at Jiang Junjie: ”Who knows if that bastard tried to get back at me? I lay on the same bed with him all night! And he was bleeding!”

Just thinking about possibly being infected with some STD made Ding Cheng feel like the sky was falling.

”Driver! Driver! I need to take a car back!”

Jiang Junjie also roared in anger: ”Iʼm going back for a checkup too! Right now, immediately! If I donʼt have a disease, Ding Cheng, youʼd better kneel down and apologize to me!”

”Go to hell—”

”Teacher Jiang, donʼt be impulsive!”

”Teacher Ding, you need to calm down too—”

The scene descended into chaos again.

Yang Liʼs face was also black as ink. His gaze swept through the chaotic crowd and finally landed on Xiao He, who was munching on melon seeds as a spectator.

”Xiao He, you tell me. What the hell happened tonight!”

Xiao He: Uh...

Can I say I didnʼt understand either?
