Gaowu invasion, I can see the future

14: Soybean futures! I’m afraid my brother will drive a Land RoverIt took Bai Yu about forty minutes to complete a Great Circulation of the Heavens, stumbling along the way.

How to describe the process? It was both painful and joyful.

During the circulation of Qi, he could feel a sense of blockage.

He immediately stepped on the gas, and with a turbo boost, he surged through, feeling a sense of relief afterward.

Discovering that there was no blood stasis in the relevant Acupoints, he felt even more at ease!

Moreover, during the circulation, he could feel a faint energy from the air entering his body.

”Ten circulations will take seven hours,” Bai Yu calculated the time, realizing that today’s task was very arduous.

”It seems I won’t be able to go to work, so I’ll just quit. It’s not much money anyway.”

After making his decision, he continued to circulate his Qi.

He slowly became somewhat addicted, forgetting the passage of time.

After approximately four Great Circulation of the Heavens, it was eleven o’clock.

Bai Yu really couldn’t hold on any longer and had to give up for now. He lay on the ground to rest for a while, and his phone rang again.

He opened it to see a message from the trader, Xiao Chen.

Xiao Chen: ”[News: Large-scale flooding disaster in Rio State, Fourth Administrative District]”

”This time, the flooding disaster affected the main soybean producing areas.”

”According to the current reaction of the futures market, the contract price for half a month later is 2.5 federal currency per jin, with an expected increase of about 10% to 15%.”

Although he had little contact with finance, Bai Yu also knew that it was quite abnormal for the market to react so strongly immediately after the flood disaster erupted.

Many people understood this principle, but no one knew whether the capital behind it would choose to open positions and release grain to suppress prices and kill off retail investors, or reduce grain sales to frantically drive up prices and attract more people to enter the market.

”In any case, the Golden Finger indicates that it can still rise!”

”According to the information provided in the group chat, money can accomplish a lot of things.”

”More than a million in funds is still far from enough!”

He continued to read messages for a while and found that the fund group had exploded, with many people @-ing him.

In this group, the group owner mainly spoke, and others generally rarely chatted.

He clicked in to see.

It was precisely because few people chatted that after the news of the great flood came out, soybean futures prices soared.

Bai Yu’s question, ’How’s the soybean futures market?’, stood out particularly.

More importantly, the group owner’s previous analysis and confident sales pitch now seemed very embarrassing.

At this moment, others screenshotted Bai Yu’s sudden statement and began to question the group owner’s ability.

The group owner, provoked by these people, also began to retort.

Group owner: ”I’ll just say this, from the perspective of any data analysis at that time, it was impossible to predict the rise in soybean prices. This person most likely just asked casually.”

”But what if he wanted to buy, and then believed your nonsense and didn’t buy?”

Group owner: ”That’s sophistry. If you don’t believe it, call him out and ask! He definitely didn’t buy.”

Group owner: ”@One (Bai Yu), brother, are you there?”

Seeing this scene, Bai Yu silently sent an emoji: ”Bubbling.jpg.”

”I bought it.”

Upon seeing Bai Yu’s reply, someone immediately asked: ”Holy cow! How much did you buy, brother?”

”About two hundred thousand.”

”Good heavens! With the current market, you must have at least doubled your money, right? Maybe even more. That’s truly amazing, I’m so envious.”

”What’s the contract date, big shot?”

Everyone was very concerned about this question.

If it was for three months later, then it would be uncertain.

But if it was a recent contract, the probability of making a profit was very high!

Bai Yu: ”Ten days later.”

”Then this is definitely a profit! Did you get the news from somewhere, big shot? Or did you analyze it yourself?”

Bai Yu: ”No analysis, just pure luck.”

As soon as he said this, it was pure humble-bragging!

But many people still pressed Bai Yu for any tips or secrets.

Several people also added him as a friend.

Bai Yu relied on his Golden Finger and had no knowledge reserves in his mind, so he simply ignored them.

Of course, Bai Yu could actually have said: ’I believe the increase in soybeans will far exceed current expectations. If you have the conditions, you can consider buying short-term contracts from others at a premium.’

But this would not benefit him.

Moreover, if the market fluctuated slightly tomorrow and the price dropped a little, everyone might think that the premium could lead to huge losses, and they might start cursing.

So, it was best to ignore it.

At this moment, his phone also rang.

[Big Son of Righteousness]

After answering, there was a moment of silence.

”Why aren’t you talking?”

”Wuwuwu ~ Brother Yu, next time there’s an opportunity to make money, tell your brother. I’ll even sell my house to follow you.”

??? Where did you get this news? Do you have surveillance in my apartment?

...That fund group, you’re the one who pulled me into it.

Oh, right, I was just about to tell you, I’m planning to quit this job at the media company. I won’t be going in starting today.

That’s how it should be, after all, this meager salary doesn’t suit my Brother Yu! Wuwuwu ~ Brother Yu, do you know any rich women? I’m in good physical condition and have a mighty Dragon spear.

Um, could you repeat that? I’m recording this.

...Brother Yu, since you’re not working anymore, what are your plans for the future?

Bai Yu, without saying anything else, was very decisive in his actions.

He already had a plan in mind, so he spoke: ”Take a taxi and come to my place now, I’ll take you somewhere.”

Alright! I’ll be right there.

Zhang Youpeng didn’t ask where they were going, hung up the phone, and immediately called a taxi.

After hanging up, Bai Yu began to contact Dragon in the group chat.

It was almost noon.

The sun was incredibly hot.

Downstairs of the apartment building.

Zhang Youpeng excitedly got out of the car, and Bai Yu also quickly came downstairs.

Under the sunlight, Bai Yu’s fair complexion was particularly striking, and Zhang Youpeng was stunned for a moment.

He thought to himself: Why is his face even fairer than Wang Haobin’s pretty boy face?

Seeing his reaction, Bai Yu felt smug.

Hehehe ~

Unexpectedly, Zhang Youpeng said: ”Brother Yu, did you put on makeup? Are you going to meet a beautiful woman?”

...

Bai Yu’s face darkened: ”What’s so good about beautiful women? I’m taking you to a place where men should go.”

Zhang Youpeng’s eyes widened, looking around, and found that a certain convenience store owner seemed to have heard this, muttering: Young people not learning well.

As they walked on the road.

Bai Yu suddenly remembered that he had skipped breakfast and lunch, and his stomach immediately protested.

”Let’s go eat first.”

Zhang Youpeng also couldn’t help but be curious, saying: ”This isn’t the way to school, where are you taking me?”

”To the gym, your Physique isn’t weak, you have a good foundation, you can train more.”

...Gym?

Zhang Youpeng instantly deflated. He had thought Bai Yu was taking him to a mysterious place like the Special Investigation Bureau.

Yes, the gym. The gym owner is someone from the group. I asked carefully, and they said that the gym has supplements provided by the Official that can improve Physique.

Holy cow! Does that mean ordinary people can also practice martial arts?

It’s not that exaggerated. The supplements at the gym are all ordinary things like ginseng. However, it’s not just ordinary things. These items, during the Spiritual Plant cultivation process, although they didn’t become Spiritual Items, they absorbed a lot of Spiritual Qi, and their effects are much better than ordinary supplements.

Then won’t it be very expensive?

It’s a bit expensive, but one person won’t spend much. I’ll pay for your gym fees.

No, no need... I’ll just tell my parents.

Hey, there’s no need to be shy about this kind of thing. For tens of thousands of federal currency, if you tell your parents, they will definitely ask a lot of questions. Now that I’m paying, it will be easy for you to repay when you have the ability later.

When Zhang Youpeng heard it would cost tens of thousands, he felt even more embarrassed.

But Bai Yu’s thoughts were different.

At his core, he actually greatly admired the rites and music of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, which originated from the Rites of Zhou.

A gentleman’s word is heavier than Mount Tai! Even between states, etiquette was emphasized. However, later generations became skilled in political maneuvering, rites collapsed and music was destroyed, and there was even the Sima family’s oath by the Luo River, which completely ruined propriety.

In contrast, the retainers and confidants of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.

When you encountered an enemy, you didn’t need any words, this person would help you get revenge!!

The entire process was this person’s own idea, and if investigated, you wouldn’t have any problems.

It could be called a death warrior!

Of course, this is somewhat anti-human in modern society.

But a gentleman judges by actions, not intentions.

Having come to another world and gained abilities, Bai Yu’s actions were simply being good to his brother!

Tens of thousands of federal currency, that’s all. To him now, it’s nothing.

It’s worth it for a good brother!

Moreover, there was another problem, which was the initial intelligence he saw: the destruction of Tianhai Base City!

From this perspective, the future situation would inevitably be much worse than imagined, with tens of millions of deaths!

Looking at the system of the Ninth Administrative District, if it weren’t for a lack of manpower, how could such a thing be allowed to happen?

Bai Yu didn’t think that his strength alone would be enough to turn the tide.

He really wanted to find more people, share information, and work together.

Of course, he wasn’t completely transparent with Zhang Youpeng either.

For example, he didn’t mention soybean futures.

After all, if he really told Zhang Youpeng, his family might be driving a Land Rover.
