Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 63 The Chainsaw GhostSeeing Yamamoto Ichiro’s confident assurance, many people were willing to check in; this group included not just tourists, but also many people who made a living running shops on the island.

Watching the people lining up to register, Yamamoto Ichiro was incredibly excited, and in his heart, he even felt a sliver of gratitude toward the Big White Snake.

It was the Big White Snake that had caused his business to boom.

Jiang Feng could not see what was happening inside The Hotel; the glass was covered with one-way film.

He also could not use Thermal Sensing to determine exactly how many people were inside because the doors were sealed shut, making the imaging unclear.

But he knew there were many people inside, and those people were likely looking at him from within.

Jiang Feng tapped his snake head gently against the glass to test the feel.

With his strength of over two thousand, a single strike from his snake head would exert a force of at least thirty tons.

His Strangulation force could reach over fifty tons; he was a true giant beast.

But wasn’t it a bit stupid to use his head to ram the door?

He could simply use Star Escape Technique to teleport over.

Jiang Feng, who was just about to use Star Escape Technique to enter The Hotel, suddenly stopped this action.

Because he realized that The Hotel was an enclosed space, which was perfect for playing a game.

Without hesitation, he released the Evil Snake Domain immediately.

Jiang Feng’s current Evil Snake Domain was enough to cover a radius of five hundred meters.

A small hotel was no challenge at all.

This hotel was not large; the number of people inside was at most four hundred, and their total Mental Energy did not exceed four thousand.

Jiang Feng’s spirit was enough to sustain it for quite a long time.

The reason Jiang Feng did not choose to kill people directly to obtain fear points was that he still retained a sliver of humanity from his previous life.

These people inside The Hotel had not attacked him like those police officers did.

For the time being, he could not bring himself to slaughter ordinary humans.

As the Evil Snake Domain covered The Hotel, Jiang Feng’s physical body easily entered inside, for within the domain, he was the master.

In The Hotel lobby, everyone was still registering their check-in information.

Suddenly, The Hotel lights flickered, and immediately after, the outside instantly turned pitch black.

”Look outside, everyone! You can’t see anything; it’s pitch black,” exclaimed a person who had been paying attention to the outside.

Hearing the exclamation, everyone subconsciously looked outside.

They saw that outside the glass door, where there had previously been a clear sky, it was now completely dark.

”What’s going on? Why did it suddenly get dark outside? Is it blocked by something?”

”Should we open the door and take a look?”

”Absolutely not! That Big White Snake was just outside. What if we open it and it gets in?”

”Mr. Yamamoto, what exactly is going on?”

”Yeah! Mr. Yamamoto, we don’t dare to check in like this.”

Yamamoto Ichiro wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

He had no idea what was going on, but the door definitely could not be opened.

”Everyone, please stay calm. I don’t know what’s happening outside right now, but something must have occurred. If we rush out, we might meet with misfortune. Staying in The Hotel and waiting for rescue is the wisest choice.”

”Yamamoto-kun makes some sense. It’s better for us to wait in The Hotel,” someone nodded in agreement.

”Quick, call for help!”

”Oh no, the phone won’t go through. There’s no signal.”

”What’s going on? How can there be no signal? There was a signal just a moment ago.”

Hearing the exclamations of others, Yamamoto Ichiro quickly took out his phone to check.

His heart immediately sank; there was absolutely no signal on his phone.

However, he reacted quickly and immediately said to The Hotel front desk:

”Quick, use the landline to call for rescue!”

The Hotel receptionist did not dare to delay and immediately picked up the landline to dial the emergency services.

In the darkness.

Jiang Feng moved, found the telephone line leading outside, and tore it apart directly.

Hehehe.

Trying to notify the outside? Dream on!

”Manager, it won’t go through,” the receptionist said with a panicked expression.

”What?” Yamamoto Ichiro was shocked.

Even the landline would not work; what on earth had happened?

Refusing to believe it, Yamamoto Ichiro came to the front desk himself and dialed the phone again, but no miracle occurred; it truly would not go through.

Yamamoto Ichiro’s loss of composure also caused the surrounding crowd to worry.

”Yamamoto-kun, what do we do now? We can’t contact the outside anymore.”

”Yamamoto-kun, why don’t we open the door? If we can’t contact the outside, we’ll be trapped here to die.”

...

The fear points were too few! Jiang Feng was somewhat dissatisfied.

But he still needed to let the bullets fly for a bit.

”We cannot open it. We have no idea what the situation is outside. What if we open it and encounter danger?”

”If we don’t open it, are we just going to wait here to die?”

”If we don’t open it, at least we are still alive right now. If we open it, we might die immediately.”

”I’m going to open it, and no one can stop me!”

”Quick, hold him back! Don’t let him go open the door!”

...

Some people wanted to open the door, while others did not.

The crowd split into two factions and started arguing.

Seeing the situation escalating, it reached a point where it was getting out of hand.

Yamamoto Ichiro hurriedly shouted, ”Everyone, quiet! Quiet! Listen to me. Let’s not open the door for now. Let’s wait a bit longer. Let’s wait one hour; if we still can’t contact the outside after that, we’ll open the door, okay?”

Yamamoto Ichiro’s words caused both sides to compromise temporarily.

This was a compromise that both sides could barely accept.

But Jiang Feng, who was watching the show in the darkness, was not willing to accept this.

Waiting for an hour—wasn’t that wasting his Mental Energy?

He had intended to plunge them into a state of chaos and make them even more desperate.

He hadn’t expected someone to interfere.

Then, let the game begin now!

Little sheep.

Hehehe.

With a thought from Jiang Feng, the TV in The Hotel lobby emitted a burst of light, and a monster holding a chainsaw suddenly appeared on the screen.

The monster had a ferocious face, with eye sockets as pitch-black as ink, completely hiding the eyeballs inside, and a large mouth that seemed to split all the way to its ears.

”Ah! A ghost!”

Everyone was startled, and the timid ones even let out a scream.

...

The monster revealed a terrifying smile, ”Everyone, welcome to the Chainsaw Hotel. Next, I am going to play a game of hide-and-seek with you all. You hide, and I will come find you.”

”Who are you? What do you want?” a courageous man shouted angrily.

The monster did not pay attention to the man but continued to talk to itself.

”Have you hidden well? I’m coming out soon! If I accidentally find anyone, my chainsaw will saw them in half.”

After the monster finished speaking, it pulled the chainsaw’s starter, and immediately a buzzing sound echoed throughout the entire lobby.

”What do we do?” Everyone looked at each other, not knowing whether to believe the monster’s words.

”I’m going to open the door and leave this haunted place.”

”Oh no, the door won’t open.”

”What?” The crowd became panicked instantly, including those who previously did not want to open the door.

Not wanting to open the door and not being able to open the door were two different concepts.

...

Everyone became anxious now, and some people had already started running upstairs in The Hotel.

”Forget it, there is an old saying in the Dragon Kingdom: ’Better to believe it exists than to believe it doesn’t.’ I’m going to find a place to hide; I don’t want to be sawed in half.”

”I’m going too.”

...

In no time, a third of the people had left to find places to hide.

”What is everyone afraid of? We have so many people here. If that monster dares to come over, we’ll beat it to death.”

”Right, beat him to death.”

”Yamamoto-kun, doesn’t your hotel have security guards? It’s your duty to protect our safety.”
