After the Breakup, Indulgence Returned to Cash, and I Topped the Rich List

220: Chapter 220 Inspecting the Opponent’s Camp!”Of course not. Maria and I have been best friends since our student days.”

”We deeply respect each other’s sexual orientation.”

Orphina couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

Then, she began to recount some of the social obligations she had been forced to accept throughout her career.

Because she was quite attractive, there were always greasy old men in the design circle trying to take advantage of her.

But Orphina had never compromised.

If it weren’t for the fact that her family had some influence, combined with her own genuine talent in the design field, she might never have made it in this life.

”Don’t worry. Even if you choose to be with me, I wouldn’t mind if you found other girlfriends.”

Shen Zhou chuckled and wrapped his arms around Orphina’s body, his palm gently patting her smooth back, feeling extremely pleased.

The emotional value brought by conquering a lesbian was far beyond his imagination.

After breakfast, Shen Zhou and Orphina had just stepped outside when they saw Maria waiting at the door, her eyes smiling.

”Morning, Boss. And Orphina, did you have a good time last night?”

Maria kept scanning Orphina’s legs, as if trying to find some clue.

Shen Zhou shook his head helplessly, while Orphina, standing to the side, glared at her fiercely.

”Boss, per your arrangements yesterday, the driver is ready, and we are about to head to the location where the Muham Family is constructing their building.”

After joking around, the expression on Maria’s face quickly became much more serious.

Shen Zhou nodded and walked out in front.

Maria and Orphina stood behind, playfully bickering.

After getting into the car, Shen Zhou sat in the middle, with Maria and Orphina accompanying him on either side.

Shen Zhou had already been served a prepared drink infused with various precious Chinese medicinal herbs.

Although Shen Zhou was currently in good health, under Benrati’s firm insistence, he had already started taking various supplements on a regular basis.

In Benrati’s words, what he revered most were the Chinese medicinal herbs and health supplements from China.

Of course, he used Chinese medicinal herbs more often, with health supplements being secondary.

At first, Shen Zhou couldn’t accept the slightly bitter taste of these Chinese medicinal herbs.

But as time passed, he had long since gotten used to it.

Because Benrati had silently replaced their breakfasts with Chinese herbal decoctions.

Finally, he had also instructed Maria to have the servants keep various supplements with them at all times for Shen Zhou.

Benrati had certainly put a lot of thought into Shen Zhou’s health.

”Boss, we’ll be at our destination in less than ten minutes.”

Maria pointed in the direction they were heading.

The driver, already knowing the location, expertly navigated the turns.

The route they were traveling took them through the busiest commercial street in Dubai.

”Shen Zhou, look, I actually designed this building back then, but it’s a pity that my design proposal was later stolen by my superior.”

”And this building, when I designed it, I considered the religious beliefs of Arabia, so the design style of the entire building combines two unique colors, white and black, which makes the overall image look more solemn.”

Orphina, standing to the side, held onto Shen Zhou’s arm without any hesitation, enthusiastically introducing the buildings on both sides of the street to him.

Dubai lived up to its reputation as a gathering place for the truly wealthy.

Basically every global luxury brand had built its headquarters building here.

And each brand’s headquarters building had its own unique characteristics.

Furthermore, the designers of these buildings were all world-renowned top-tier figures.

The fact that Orphina could have multiple works of her own on this street was enough to prove that her ability was absolutely not to be underestimated.

Orphina kept boasting about her work, her body slightly twisting as she pressed against the glass.

And this scene made Shen Zhou’s heart burn with passion again.

So, his right hand naturally climbed onto her slender waist.

”What are you doing? Maria is still here.”

Orphina subconsciously grabbed Shen Zhou’s mischievous right hand.

Maria, on the side, laughed and said, ”Boss, feel free. It’s best if you pretend I don’t exist.”

Although she said that, Shen Zhou’s left hand naturally pulled Maria into his embrace as well.

Shen Zhou held both of them in his arms, listening to the two women in his embrace bickering, and felt a sense of peaceful serenity.

After less than twenty minutes passed, the group finally arrived at their destination.

This was already a slightly suburban location.

However, the construction site ahead was noisy, and a large number of construction workers were already in place.

But Shen Zhou, just by observing from the perimeter, realized that many of the construction workers inside were completely slacking off, with no professional dedication whatsoever.

However, when he brought this up to the two women beside him, even Orphina, as a professional, thought it was only natural.

Shen Zhou was immediately surprised.

Maria laughed and said, ”Boss, you come from China. The workers in your country are famous for being hardworking and willing to endure hardship.”

”But this is Dubai, a wealthy area where the rich gather.”

”So even the common people in Dubai have long been accustomed to pleasure.”

”There is basically no one here working through the night.”

”Of course, this excludes workers in certain special industries; for example, many tech companies in Dubai are still very competitive.”

Maria’s words revealed the truth of this place.

Although Dubai was a place where many wealthy people gathered, the lives of the lower-class citizens were equally miserable.

Many ordinary people spent their days watching the top tycoons beside them enjoy life with luxury cars and beautiful women.

Yet they could only live in chaotic residential areas separated by just a single wall.

This stark contrast had long caused many of them to give up and lose hope.

And this phenomenon was even more common on construction sites.

Therefore, the construction site could naturally not be a scene of bustling activity.

”Setting that aside, the site for this building is also too remote.”

”Even if it can eventually be completed, I’m afraid it will be very difficult to attract enough people and commercial districts to gather here.”

Shen Zhou couldn’t help but nod and judge.

Even if a commercial district centered on the building could eventually develop slowly, it would take at least several years.

If development didn’t go smoothly, I’m afraid it would be difficult to form a bustling commercial district here even in ten years.

”Boss, you don’t know about this.”

Orphina, on the side, smiled and explained.

”This building is currently touted as the world’s tallest building, and its total height has already exceeded nine hundred meters.”

”As long as this building is completed, it will be a huge gimmick.”

”By that time, according to the Muham Family’s plan, this building will become a gathering place for global luxury goods.”
