Quick Transmigration: The Host is Forced to Love!

74: Chapter 74 The Noble Omega Young Master’s Benefactor 16Afterward, he picked up the wine glass, gently held the stem, and began to swirl it slowly, the red wine spinning in the glass.

He then walked slowly to the sofa in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and sat down. He placed the red wine glass on the small table beside him, leaned back, and crossed his legs.

He admired the scenery outside the window in a relaxed posture. The sunset on the horizon was as brilliant as a burning flame, dyeing the entire sky a fiery red, reflecting off the sparkling river surface to create a breathtaking scene.

The scenery was exceptionally unique, and his mood improved a little. A look of satisfaction and leisure spread across Lu Zhan’s face as he immersed himself in it, as if all the troubles in the world had nothing to do with him.

Time passed slowly, and the sky began to darken. A hurried ringing of the doorbell echoed through the house. Lu Zhan, disturbed, frowned slightly, but still got up to open the door.

”Mu Lin, is something the matter?”

Lu Zhan felt a bit puzzled; he vaguely sensed that something was off about the other’s state.

”Lu Zhan, I have something I want to ask you.”

Although Mu Lin temporarily suppressed all the thoughts and hostility in his heart, his face still looked rather grim.

Their relationship had improved a lot during this time, so Lu Zhan did not overthink it. He let him in and returned to the sofa to sit, minding his own business.

Mu Lin closed the door, followed closely behind, and sat down beside Lu Zhan with visible urgency in his eyes.

”Lu Zhan, what exactly is your relationship with Song Shu?”

Lu Zhan frowned tightly. Thinking of the events of the day, a bit of irritation appeared on his face. He didn’t know what had gotten into Mu Lin today, bringing up Song Shu out of the blue.

”We are just very good friends.”

This was a very good out; reason told him he shouldn’t ask any further, at least Lu Zhan had denied it.

This was already a very good answer, but he still felt very uncomfortable, and the anger in his heart was hard to quell. What kind of friends needed to be so intimate? Especially since Song Shu was an Omega who liked Lu Zhan.

”Lu Zhan, if you are just friends, why did you take the initiative to hug Song Shu, so intimately?”

His voice became distorted with anger, carrying a hint of hoarseness, as he questioned Lu Zhan.

Lu Zhan paused slightly, as if he had suddenly realized something. His eyes instantly became as sharp as ice blades, carrying a hint of scrutiny and doubt, and he coldly retorted.

”Why are you so well-informed about these things? Could it be that you sent someone to stalk and monitor me?”

Mu Lin realized that his momentarily emotional outburst had made Lu Zhan aware of what he had been doing in secret.

After spending this time together, he knew Lu Zhan’s temperament well, and now he dared not speak again, fearing that it would add fuel to the fire.

If this incident wasn’t handled well, all his previous efforts would be in vain, and his relationship with Lu Zhan would drop back to freezing point or even worse. Under this crisis, Song Shu had long been thrown to the back of his mind.

The silence in the house and the darkness outside the window made the oppressive and dull atmosphere even more pronounced, and the air was filled with an aura of tension and anxiety.

Lu Zhan looked at Mu Lin, his brow furrowed and his face cold. Between his brows, there was a hint of helplessness and deep fatigue. He pursed his lips.

”Mu Lin, I don’t think we are suitable. Let’s calm down for a while; you don’t need to come over for this period.”

Did Lu Zhan’s words mean he wanted to cut ties with him?

Mu Lin’s face turned paper-white in an instant, devoid of any color, and his eyes revealed urgent anxiety.

”Lu Zhan, I don’t want that. We are very suitable, and I don’t need to calm down. Where you are, I will be.”

Mu Lin shook his head continuously, his eyes moistening unconsciously, his hands tightly gripping Lu Zhan’s hem.

Lu Zhan just silently pulled his clothes back. Whenever he thought about how every move of his had been under the other’s surveillance during this period, his scalp tingled, and he found it completely intolerable. This was something only a madman or a pervert could do.

Looking at the cold, rejecting, and unmoved Lu Zhan, Mu Lin felt even more panicked, yet he dared not argue and was unwilling to leave just like that.

He didn’t mean to be like this; he was just too afraid, cared too much, and lacked too much sense of security.

Lu Zhan took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and after a moment of silence, he said.

”I need time to think properly now. Mu Lin, you go back first.”

A flash of despair crossed Mu Lin’s eyes, but he still obediently stood up silently and turned to leave. When his hand touched the doorknob, he stopped abruptly.

”No, he could not leave, otherwise, he and Lu Zhan would likely really have no future. He could never do it—to watch Lu Zhan with another Omega. No matter what, he had to win Lu Zhan’s forgiveness.”

Thus, Mu Lin walked back to Lu Zhan’s side with heavy steps, knelt on one knee at Lu Zhan’s feet, placed his hand gently on Lu Zhan’s thigh, and looked up at him.

”Lu Zhan, I know I was wrong. Please forgive me this one time. During that time, you were very cold and rejecting toward me, and I had done many things to hurt you in the past.

I was just afraid that if you had another Omega by your side, you would be even less willing to spare me a glance, which is why I came up with such a foolish plan. I swear I will never do it again and will listen to you obediently.”

The words were filled with a heartbreaking humbleness that made one want to pity him. Every sentence was so earnest and sincere, carrying deep supplication.

Lu Zhan looked at Mu Lin, who was kneeling halfway in front of him, his posture extremely low, humbly begging. A ripple couldn’t help but stir in his heart, but it was forcibly suppressed by him. All of this was just a facade; he needed to think it over carefully.

Mu Lin’s love was too extreme, too crazy, and too pathological. He bowed and submitted in front of him, yet tracked and monitored him behind his back.

On the surface, he was obedient to him, but in secret, he was ready to act against Song Shu. He feared that if his answer today was not to his liking, Mu Lin might say nothing on the surface, but in secret, Song Shu’s life or death would be unpredictable. Could he really control such a person?
