Quick Transmigration: The Host is Forced to Love!

58: Chapter 58 The Tragic Female Insect’s Nobleman (Part 20)Bo Yisi watched as his Highness finished speaking and fell asleep against the sofa.

He called out ”Your Highness” over and over, but there was no response. He placed his hand on His Highness’s chest but felt no heartbeat.

How is this possible? How can this be...

He hugged His Highness as if he had gone mad, and his Mental Energy began to spiral out of control. Just a moment ago, His Highness was still talking to him, telling him to take good care of their cub.

The transition between Heaven and Hell was but a fleeting moment.

Mervyn pushed the door open and entered as if he had expected this. The chaotic, uncontrolled Mental Energy in the room made it impossible for him to advance even half a step.

But he had to quickly transport His Highness’s body to the Imperial Hospital for preservation to ensure it could provide enough nutrients for the unborn cub.

Whether it was blood, Pheromones, or the Zerg core, they would all be extracted and made into nutritional supplements for Bo Yisi to drink.

”Bo Yisi, I’m taking His Highness away. These are His Highness’s orders. If you want the Zerg Egg to be born safely, you’d better sober up and be rational now. Restrain your Mental Energy and protect His Highness’s unborn cub.”

Mervyn looked at the maddened Military Zerg with hatred and resentment. He knew Bo Yisi must have done something unacceptable to His Highness, but since His Highness didn’t say anything and didn’t blame him, Mervyn had no right to criticize.

”You knew all along. Then why didn’t you stop His Highness?”

Hearing these words, Mervyn seemed to be provoked and let out a cold laugh.

”Yes, I knew. Because His Highness called me here specifically to handle his funeral arrangements. I’d like to ask you, what did you do to drive His Highness to such despair?”

Bo Yisi remained in a painful silence like a statue, as if time had frozen on him.

His eyes were like deep lake water, without a single ripple, containing only endless pain and regret.

”It was I who hurt His Highness. It was I who ruined His Highness.”

After a long time, Mervyn finally heard this pale and weak sentence.

Mervyn didn’t want to say more. He walked over, picked up His Highness, and prepared to leave. As he was about to exit the bedroom, he heard a question.

”Did His Highness... say anything else?”

Mervyn gave a non-committal smile. He hadn’t intended to say anything, but he couldn’t stand to see Bo Yisi at peace. He wanted Bo Yisi to live rationally and clearly, feeling every bit of regret, guilt, and pain.

”His Highness said that he could never bring himself to nurture his unborn cub; just the thought of it was so repulsive and disgusting that it was unbearable.

But he still looks forward to the cub’s safe arrival; it is the continuation of His Highness’s life.

Of course, His Highness also told me to keep a close eye on you to see if you are taking good care of the cub.”

After saying this, Mervyn gently carried the Male Zerg and disappeared through the doorway.

Inside the bedroom, the Military Zerg’s back, which was once so straight and tall as if it would never bend, slowly, slowly bowed down at this moment.

His body unconsciously curled up on the floor. Bo Yisi pressed his fingers against his chest. At this moment, a long-lasting pain seemed to pierce through his ribs and envelop his entire body, making him ache uncontrollably.

That cold yet gentle silver starlight had once tried so hard to walk toward him, but it was he himself who failed to grasp it.

He hurt His Highness, missed his chance with His Highness, ruined His Highness, and finally drove His Highness to his death.

His Highness had said he never wanted to see him again...

His Highness wanted him to live well and take good care of their cub...

It turned out that he didn’t even have the right to die with His Highness...

His black eyes stared blankly, hot tears sliding down silently, his face filled with endless despair.

...

Three years later, in that manor on Planet Slater, Mervyn was gently coaxing a sad little Male Zerg.

The little Male Zerg was very handsome. Although he didn’t grow slowly, he was only a two-year-old child, less than a meter tall. He wore a well-fitting white robe, with soft, silver-white hair draped behind him. His silver eyes were like stars, and his voice was soft and sweet.

”Uncle Mervyn, why haven’t I had a father since I was little? Every time I mention father, Papa just cries silently.”

Every time Mervyn thought of His Highness, he felt very sad as well. But he still comforted him, saying:

”Ryan, you just need to remember that your father loved you very much. As for your Papa, Uncle Mervyn doesn’t want to say much.”

He didn’t want to say anything good about the person who had hurt His Highness, not even a white lie.

The little Male Zerg blinked his big eyes, tugged at Mervyn’s sleeve, and asked in a childish voice.

”Then where is my father? I want to see him.”

Mervyn looked at the adorable little Male Zerg, feeling a pang of sorrow in his heart. He squatted down and said gently:

”Your father has gone to a very far place. When you grow up, maybe you’ll be able to see him.”

The little Male Zerg nodded as if he understood, and stopped asking.

Mervyn only stroked the little Male Zerg’s silver-white hair affectionately.

The little Male Zerg in front of him really looked a lot like His Highness. Just as His Highness had said, he was the continuation of his life!

For the past three years, Mervyn had been silently fulfilling his promise to His Highness.

The birth of the little Male Zerg represented the complete disappearance of His Highness, with nothing left behind.

Every time Bo Yisi saw the little Male Zerg, he would think of His Highness and all the sins he had committed against him.

Over and over again, he lived forever in pain and regret, unable to find release.

Tonight was just like any other; he woke up from a nightmare and could no longer fall asleep.

Like His Highness used to, he sat on the sofa by the window, silent for a long time, cold as a statue, deathly still and devoid of life.

After a very long time, Bo Yisi finally raised a hand and pressed it against his heart, his fingers tightening as if he wanted to gouge his heart out of his chest. An uncontrollable stabbing pain surged there, churning his insides until the pain was worse than death.

The pain made it almost impossible for him to remain seated. His other hand gripped the back of the chair with difficulty. With a ”crack,” the back of the chair turned to dust. His uncontrollable Mental Energy dissipated everywhere, assaulting his last shred of sanity.

”Your Highness... Your Highness...”

He was in so much pain that he could only cry out those two words, murmuring them softly, each word filled with a thousand twists and turns.

This was the third year since he lost His Highness. Time really passed so slowly. When would he finally be able to join His Highness and atone for his sins?

Suddenly, Bo Yisi seemed to sense something. He stood up abruptly, his eyes wide as he looked out the window.

In the sky outside, a meteor streaked across the horizon, shimmering with a faint light.

Bo Yisi’s heart skipped a beat. He felt as if this meteor was His Highness sending him some kind of message.

He couldn’t help but run out in the direction of the meteor, all the way to the manor’s garden.

There, he saw a familiar figure—the very Highness he yearned for day and night.

”Your Highness...”

Bo Yisi called out with a trembling voice. However, as he drew closer, he realized it was only an illusion.

He covered his face in painful despair, tears sliding through the gaps between his fingers.

Just then, a small hand gently tugged at his sleeve. Bo Yisi looked down and saw the little Male Zerg, Ryan, looking at him with those clear silver eyes.

”Papa...”

Ryan called out softly.

Bo Yisi was stunned. Looking at the little Male Zerg before him, he seemed to see the shadow of His Highness.

He squatted down and pulled Ryan into a tight embrace, feeling his warmth.

”Papa, don’t cry.” Ryan patted Bo Yisi’s back, comforting him like a little adult.

Bo Yisi wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes and forced a smile for Ryan.

”Okay, Papa won’t cry anymore. Papa will always take care of you as you grow up.”

This was the only thing His Highness had left him—their cub!

Yet this cub originated from his deepest betrayal of His Highness; his birth was stained with His Highness’s life and blood, but the little Male Zerg happened to look so much like His Highness.

Bo Yisi could no longer tell whether he felt more love or more hate for the little Male Zerg.

But the one he hated most and could never forgive was undoubtedly himself!
