Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

171: Bonus Chapter (4) Wedding Anniversary 02Yan Qinghe spent a long time happily browsing before finally picking out a set and placing the order. He even bought a Red Bridal Veil along with it. When he finally looked away from his phone with satisfaction, he found Yan Zhuohua sitting there quietly, looking at him with a half-smile.

He felt a little scared.

But as the saying goes, to die for beauty’s sake is a romantic way to go.

”Today is our wedding anniversary, after all. Wife, you’ll satisfy my wish, right? You even gave me the dowry!”

Yan Zhuohua sneered.

Yan Qinghe’s eyes darted around. ”Aren’t we going out this afternoon? Let’s hurry up and get ready!”

As he spoke, he leaned in next to Yan Zhuohua, put his arm around him, and led him upstairs. ”Go change your clothes. I specially prepared couple’s outfits a few days ago. Let’s wear them out today...”

—

Yan Zhuohua, being good-tempered, half-reluctantly changed into the couple’s outfit Yan Qinghe had bought.

Needless to say, Yan Qinghe’s aesthetic taste was ten thousand times better than Yan Zhuoyan’s; this outfit truly suited Yan Zhuohua’s preferences.

After the two of them changed and tidied up, they got into the car. Yan Qinghe habitually sat in the driver’s seat before realizing he didn’t even know where they were going.

”Where are we going?”

”The zoo.”

”?” Yan Qinghe was shocked. ”The zoo?”

”Yes.” Yan Zhuohua reached out to set the destination on the car’s navigation. ”Didn’t you notice? A very crucial item was missing from the gifts earlier.”

”...What?”

”Wild geese.”

Wild geese were a standard item in ancient betrothal gifts, representing fidelity, and any family with decent means would prepare them. However, in modern times, wild geese have become a national second-class protected species.

”I can’t buy two wild geese to keep at home; that would be too criminal,” Yan Zhuohua explained. ”So, I bought shares in a zoo that keeps wild geese. We hold the shares jointly.” In this way, it could be considered a gift of a pair of wild geese.

Yan Qinghe was once again shocked by his dear wife’s actions. He felt that he had experienced more shocks today than in the past several months combined.

”You bought half a zoo just for a pair of wild geese?”

Yan Zhuohua remained unmoved. ”That’s not right.”

”?”

Yan Zhuohua said seriously and sincerely, ”It’s more than half. I bought sixty percent of the shares.”

Precise.

Despite his shock, Yan Qinghe still obediently followed the navigation and drove the car to the zoo.

They didn’t care much for the other animals inside and headed straight for the wild geese.

”See? I’ve already discussed it with the management here. The daily expenses of the Wild Goose Garden are my sole investment.” Yan Zhuohua pointed toward the flock of geese flying in the distance. ”So, that entire flock of wild geese is being raised with our family’s money. It can barely count as a betrothal gift.” And there were so many of them!

Beside him, Yan Qinghe nodded blankly.

My wife really is a clever little devil!

—

They didn’t feel like wandering around the zoo, so after taking some photos at the Wild Goose Garden, they left.

”Where to next?” Home? Let’s go home! I’m dying of impatience to wait for my package!

However, Yan Zhuohua didn’t give him the chance and set a new destination in the navigation.

”Amusement park?” Yan Qinghe saw the destination and couldn’t help but laugh. ”Are we obsessed with ’parks’ today?”

”I also bought half the shares of this amusement park, and I’m giving them all to you.” Yan Zhuohua turned his head to look at Yan Qinghe, who was starting the car. ”The previous gift was to make up for the Three Letters and Six Rites of our marriage; this one is to make up for your childhood.”

Yan Qinghe looked back at Yan Zhuohua, whose eyes were filled with shimmering light, and a bittersweet, swelling feeling filled his heart.

This childhood, which had arrived twenty years late, was finally condensed into these few hours this afternoon.

Yan Zhuohua hadn’t arranged for a private booking; they moved through the crowded masses like ordinary people, trying out one interesting attraction after another, eating ice cream, drinking milk tea, buying small plushies... and as the evening lights began to glow, the two of them kissed at the top of the Ferris wheel.

”Can we come here often in the future?” When the kiss ended, Yan Qinghe held the still-dazed Yan Zhuohua in his arms, lowering his head to kiss his hair. ”I really love going out like this with you.”

”Okay, I’ll definitely accompany you here often in the future.”

—

Since it was getting late, they simply ate dinner out and arrived home nearly at ten o’clock at night.

As soon as they entered the courtyard, Yan Qinghe’s sharp eyes spotted a large box at the door. It seemed his method of paying extra was indeed effective; the Bridal Gown ordered at noon had actually arrived by evening.

”Quick, your Bridal Gown and red veil are here!” Yan Qinghe ran to the door in a few steps and excitedly picked up the box, looking like he might open it right there. ”It’s quite heavy; the quality from this shop must be good!”

Yan Zhuohua sighed helplessly behind him but still walked over slowly to open the door and push Yan Qinghe inside.

”Hurry in, don’t block the doorway. Aren’t you in a rush for your bridal chamber night?”

Yan Qinghe immediately carried the box inside and headed straight for the bedroom without stopping. ”Hurry and follow me!”

Yan Zhuohua shook his head and followed him.

—

This Bridal Gown truly lived up to the high price Yan Qinghe had paid. Yan Zhuohua touched the bright red, smooth, and soft fabric with some amazement. ”It’s just a bit thick; it’ll be hot to wear in this weather.”

Yan Qinghe sneakily approached from behind and wrapped his arms around Yan Zhuohua’s waist. ”It’s fine, you’ll only wear it for a little while. It’ll be taken off by me very soon~”

Yan Zhuohua immediately gave him an elbow strike.

”Get out.”

”? What’s with you? We’re an old married couple; do you still have to hide from me to change?” Let me see, let me see!

”Old married couple? Why would an old married couple even have a bridal night?”

Yan Qinghe immediately straightened up. ”I’m getting out right now.”

Having finally driven the ill-intentioned man out, Yan Zhuohua finally felt safe to change into the outfit. This Bridal Gown was in the traditional style, with several layers inside and out, as well as various buttons and ties. It took Yan Zhuohua a full ten minutes of fumbling with the included instruction manual to get it on.

He really didn’t know if it was appropriate for such a shop to sell such difficult-to-wear clothes. He didn’t quite get it.

But Yan Zhuohua didn’t dwell on this trivial matter. He smoothed out the hem of the gown again, and then his gaze fell upon the Red Bridal Veil nearby.

”...”

Forget it, for the sake of the hardships of his childhood.
