Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

161: Extra (1) Parallel World 09By the time Yan Qinghe finished his shower and entered the study, Yan Zhuohua had already been kneeling for several minutes.

”W-what’s going on?”

Yan Zhuoyang didn’t say anything, merely gesturing with his chin toward several sheets of paper on the desk.

Yan Qinghe picked them up, confused, but after a single glance, his legs went weak and he knelt down beside Yan Zhuohua.

”I, I can...”

”I was curious, so I printed them out to look at them myself.”

Yan Zhuohua interrupted Yan Qinghe.

Seated at the head of the room, Yan Zhuoyang sneered. ”Are you matching your stories in front of me? Do you think I can’t tell what’s really going on?” He would have to be an idiot to believe Yan Zhuohua was behind this; if it wasn’t Yan Qinghe’s idea, he’d hand over his position as the elder brother to Yan Qinghe.

The two kneeling figures: ”...”

”Look at you two. How old are you? Instead of thinking about studying and self-improvement all day, what on earth is filling your heads?”

Yan Qinghe looked up hesitantly. ”My head is filled with my wife; that’s only natural.”

Yan Zhuohua: ”...”

Fuming, Yan Zhuoyang threw a pen straight at Yan Qinghe’s forehead.

”I’m not even going to scold you anymore. Fifty strokes with the Ruler. Wait by the sofa.”

Yan Qinghe had been getting into trouble since he was a child, so he didn’t care about a few dozen strokes. However— ”Zhuohua is still here...” Having his wife watch him get beaten—where was the dignity in that!

”Oh? Why weren’t you afraid of losing face when you were doing this? Get over there!”

Negotiations failed and having been scolded again, Yan Qinghe could only reluctantly lie face down on the sofa.

But Yan Zhuoyang still wanted to save some face for his younger brother after all. He said to Yan Zhuohua, ”You wait right here. Don’t look back. I’ll deal with you after I’ve finished with him.”

Thus, Yan Zhuohua could only kneel there in fear, trembling with every strike that landed behind him.

Yan Zhuoyang cursed as he struck. ”Look at what you’ve done! Did I let you bring him home now just so you could bully him, distract him from his studies, and ruin his future?” He grew angrier as he spoke. ”And another thing—whose marriage contract contains such bizarre clauses? Were you taking advantage of Zhuohua’s youth and naivety to manipulate him on purpose?”

Having his ”sinister heart” exposed in front of Yan Zhuohua, Yan Qinghe didn’t care about losing face by crying out in pain anymore. He hurriedly argued, ”He’s willing! Ah! It hurts!”

Yan Zhuoyang swung the Ruler down hard. ”Like hell I’d believe you.”

Hearing Yan Qinghe’s uncontrollable whimpers and wails, Yan Zhuohua tentatively spoke up from the side. ”I am willing.”

The sound of the Ruler stopped for a moment. Yan Qinghe grimaced in pain, but his heart was suddenly filled with pride. He’s willing. Hehe. He’s willing to listen to me. He loves me so much. Hehe...

Yan Zhuoyang was incensed. ”You, get over here too.”

Seeing Yan Zhuohua being called over, Yan Qinghe couldn’t keep his composure. ”I was the one who made him look! Big Brother, just punish me, don’t hit him!”

”Shut up!” Yan Zhuoyang gave him another strike. ”Neither of you is escaping today!”

With that, the Ruler fell upon Yan Zhuohua as well. ”Can’t you have some opinions of your own? Are you just going to let him bully you every day? You are an independent person; how can you listen to him in everything?”

The Ruler continued to strike Yan Zhuohua as Yan Zhuoyang continued his lecture. ”Even if you signed a contract, don’t you know how to complain? Don’t you know how to feign compliance while acting in opposition? You carry it out so readily and earnestly—are you afraid of NOT being bullied by him?”

Yan Zhuohua let out a soft cry of pain, but his heart was shocked. There’s actually such a tactic?

I can give it a try.

Beside him, the sharp-eyed Yan Qinghe noticed Yan Zhuohua’s expression and immediately felt something was wrong. ”Big Brother, how can you teach him to be so treacherous? He promised me, so he can’t go back on it!” Please don’t. If you teach him that, what will I do in the future? Will I end up like my other self—suffering domestic violence and having to check my wife’s mood just to sleep with him?

Clearly, this Yan Qinghe possessed a much stronger sense of possessiveness and control than the other one. If the Yan Zhuohua from the other world were here, he would likely understand that someone raised in the doting environment of the Yan Family would have the traits of a superior and a strong sense of self-awareness etched into their bones. This was different from the Yan Qinghe who grew up in the darkness of the Ning Family, who was relatively peaceful and saw Yan Zhuohua as his salvation.

He would also love Yan Zhuohua, dote on him, care for him, respect him, and spend a happy lifetime with him. However, in certain matters, this Yan Qinghe would never relinquish the initiative.

It was evident that environment could influence and change a person’s choices and personality.

Just as this Yan Zhuohua lacked boundaries even more than the guilt-ridden Yan Zhuohua from the other side, and had an even ”better temper.” In that sense, they were another kind of perfect match.

Unfortunately, none of the three people in the study currently understood these principles. Influenced by their respective growth environments, they all had different personality biases and were making choices they believed to be right.

Thus, the Yan Zhuohua currently being punished didn’t feel anything was wrong at all. He simply thought that since he had agreed, he should follow through. Complaining was for children; he was already a big boy.

He interrupted the scolding Yan Zhuoyang was about to direct at Yan Qinghe.

”Big Brother, I know I was wrong. I definitely won’t do it again.” Yan Zhuohua pitifully tugged at the hem of Yan Zhuoyang’s trousers.

Calculating that both of them had received quite a lot, Yan Zhuoyang took the opportunity to stop. ”Do you understand what I’ve said?”

”I understand, I understand!” Yan Zhuohua nodded decisively under Yan Qinghe’s pained and incredulous gaze.

Seeing that the boy would finally stop letting Yan Qinghe bully and manipulate him, Yan Zhuoyang tossed the Ruler aside in satisfaction.

”Good. That’s all for today. Both of you go back tonight and reflect properly. Put those things in the Shredder and don’t let me find them again!” After walking a few steps, Yan Zhuoyang suddenly remembered something. ”I’ll be back tomorrow night. Have your homework and notes ready for me. If I find that this stuff has affected your studies, I’ll give you both a second helping of punishment.”

Yan Zhuohua nodded obediently in cooperation, watching Yan Zhuoyang leave the study.

When he turned around, he saw Yan Qinghe lying there, looking like he had lost all hope, his breath weak.

”Are you angry?” Yan Zhuohua scooted over. ”Don’t be angry. I’ll still listen to you in the future.”

”!” Ignoring the injuries on his backside, Yan Qinghe sprang up. ”You’ll still listen... Then what you just promised Big Brother?”

Yan Zhuohua was still kneeling on the floor. He looked up at the already tall Yan Qinghe and smiled with pure innocence. ”Big Brother taught me how to feign compliance while acting in opposition, and I’ve learned it.”

Good grief! Yan Zhuoyang would surely have to praise him for being quick-witted and able to apply a lesson to other cases! Using his own tricks to fool him, huh?

However, this situation was wonderful news for Yan Qinghe. He felt that the beating hadn’t been in vain! It was a fruitful harvest!
