Thunderstorm Asthma? I’ll Just Drain the National Power Grid!

142: Divine skill! The Thunderous Roar of Annihilation, specifically designed to kill souls!Inside the core of the giant eye, within the flesh and blood space.

Lin Yuan floated in mid-air, holding the blood-colored crystal in his hand.

He could feel that everything outside was being ”digested.”

Streams of pure life energy were continuously flowing into this crystal through the blood vessels and nerves.

”Beep! Detected high-purity mixed energy source, Energy Rank: B-Rank (pseudo)!”

”Commence absorption?”

”Nonsense, time to eat!”

Lin Yuan’s eyes flashed with a sharp light, and he unhesitatingly chose ”Yes.”

The Primordial Thunder God Body operated at full power!

He himself transformed into a black hole!

The blood-colored crystal in his hand was the energy gate he had forcibly pried open!

Boom—!!!

Vast energy, mixed with countless resentful Soul fragments, surged wildly into his body along his arm!

”Ugh...”

Even Lin Yuan let out a muffled groan, overwhelmed by the sudden influx of energy.

”...Kill...”

”...Hate...”

Countless negative thoughts tried to assault his Mental Energy and pollute his Soul.

However, as soon as these Mental Impurities entered Lin Yuan’s body, they were purified into the most primitive energy by the surging thunder power within him.

”Ding! Absorbed ’Power of Resentful Souls,’ Mental Energy slightly increased!”

”Ding! Absorbed ’Essence of Life,’ cell vitality slightly increased!”

”Ding! divine body electricity level... 71%... 75%... 79%...”

Lin Yuan’s movements paused slightly.

Hmm? Mental Energy?

This was the first time he had received such a prompt.

But the surprise lasted less than half a second before being drowned out by joy.

Indigestion?

No!

This was a top-tier buffet! The main course was filling, and it even came with an unfamiliar ”Mental Energy full-service” item!

The energy within his body surged at a terrifying speed.

The barrier of C-Rank High-tier was easily broken through!

C-rank Peak!

But the influx of energy had not stopped!

”Ding! divine body electricity level... 95%... 98%... 99%!”

The energy bar on the System panel remained steadily at 99%, unmoving no matter how much Lin Yuan absorbed.

”As expected,” Lin Yuan understood in his heart.

It seemed that, as before, going from C to B couldn’t be achieved by simply accumulating quantity; he still needed to improve his comprehension of ”rules” to achieve a qualitative leap.

But even so, the sheer abundance of energy within him at this moment far surpassed others of the same Rank!

”Burp~”

Lin Yuan let out a satisfied burp.

The blood-colored crystal in his hand had completely dimmed, turning into a dull gray stone that crumbled into powder with a casual squeeze.

Just then, the entire flesh and blood space began to collapse!

”Ding! Due to core energy depletion, the ’Blood Eye Altar’ is about to collapse!”

”Congratulations, Host, based on the characteristics of the energy absorbed this time, you have comprehended a new skill—[Thunder of Annihilation]!”

[Thunder of Annihilation]: Releases a shockwave imbued with the will of thunder, directly striking the target’s Soul and Mental Energy core. Inflicts destructive damage to Soul-type and Mental Energy-type targets, and can absorb the scattered Soul energy, converting it into nourishment for one’s own Mental Energy.

Lin Yuan’s eyes lit up.

Soul attack! And it could absorb blue!

A Divine Skill!

Before he could thoroughly study the new skill, another anomaly occurred!

The flesh walls that should have dissipated began toperistalsis and converge towards the center of the space!

The tormented faces embedded in the flesh walls let out shrieks.

They bit and fused with each other, eventually coalescing into a translucent monster ten meters tall!

The monster was a murky blood-red all over, a clumsy amalgamation of countless human figures.

Inside it, countless tormented human faces flickered in and out of view.

It had no physical form, yet it exuded terrifying Mental Might!

Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow.

Interesting.

This thing had no life aura whatsoever; it was entirely composed of Mental Energy.

”Roar—!!!”

The monster roared, swinging an arm made of resentful Souls, and slapped towards Lin Yuan.

”Perfect, let’s see the power of C-rank Peak.”

Lin Yuan didn’t dodge or evade, his right hand blazing with thunder!

Palm Thunder!

”Boom!”

The thunderball slammed into the giant arm!

However, a bizarre scene unfolded.

The Palm Thunder passed directly through the translucent giant arm, striking the flesh wall behind it and blasting a large hole!

And that giant arm, only slightly faded in color, continued to swing towards him without any hindrance!

”Immune to physical attacks and conventional energy attacks?”

Lin Yuan quickly made a judgment.

He flickered, activating Lightning Step, and easily dodged the blow.

He quickly analyzed in his mind.

This thing was a pure Soul aggregate.

Conventional methods couldn’t hit it, like trying to punch a shadow.

Then... ”The new skill I just learned, perfect for trying it out on you.”

Lin Yuan no longer dodged, allowing the monster to open its ”giant mouth” and devour him!

A foul wind assailed his face, and resentment surged like a tide!

Lin Yuan moved.

He didn’t form hand seals, nor did he charge power; he simply opened his mouth slightly and uttered a single word towards the monster.

”Om—”

There was no sound.

Or rather, it wasn’t a sound that could be heard by the ears.

A sound wave imbued with the will of thunder burst forth from Lin Yuan’s mouth!

Thunder of Annihilation!

The aggregated resentful Soul body, which had been roaring and pouncing, suddenly froze!

Its body, composed of countless human faces, trembled violently.

The tormented faces within it changed from resentment to terror, finally transforming into relief.

There was no explosion, no roar.

The monster, right in front of Lin Yuan, turned into shimmering Mental Energy particles.

The next second.

These specks of light, as if attracted, surged into Lin Yuan’s glabella!

”Ding! Successfully killed ’Aggregated Resentful Soul Body’!”

”Ding! Absorbed scattered Soul energy, Mental Energy greatly increased!”

”Ding! Mental Energy increased, fed back to the Divine Body, cell vitality strengthened, energy limit slightly increased!”

”divine body electricity level: 99% → 99.99%!”

Lin Yuan closed his eyes, feeling the clarity and power in his mind.

”So... this is the true limit.”

He opened his eyes, a streak of electric light flashing within them.

”Rumble—!!!”

As the Aggregated Resentful Soul Body, this last ”guardian,” was purified, the entire flesh and blood space could no longer be maintained and began to collapse!

The flesh walls from all directions rapidly contracted!

Above his head and below his feet, everything was quickly closing in!

He didn’t have much time left.

”Time to leave.”

Lin Yuan’s expression was calm, his Electromagnetic Induction spread out, searching for the weakest energy node.

”I wonder how many of those unlucky guys outside are still alive.”

He found it!

In a corner of the collapsing space, an unstable spatial rift was tearing open.

Lin Yuan flapped his thunder wings, activated super-speed mode, and plunged headfirst into that rift!
