Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2997: Chapter 2995: Not Right Now

”Haven’t you thought about having a goal?” Ye Li knew that they had previously agreed to attend university together in the Imperial Capital, but recently he heard from that guy Ye Zishu that Qin Jiale seemed no longer interested in applying to the previously planned school.

That’s why he asked her, so that once her goal was determined, he could align himself with her plans.

”Not at the moment.” Qin Jiale was feeling more confused than ever, as if suddenly losing her direction in life, unsure of what she wanted or what she was pursuing.

When Ye Li asked her, she was also questioning herself: what exactly did she want?

”Let me know when you’re applying to schools and filling in your preferences, okay?” Ye Li noticed her uncertain expression and realized that she really didn’t know what major she wanted to pursue. So, she should tell him during her application process, and then they would both know what was going on.

”Okay.” Qin Jiale really wanted to ask him what she should tell him, but after looking at his expression, she said nothing and simply agreed.

”Let’s go. There’s good food over there. I’ll take you to eat.” Ye Li nodded with satisfaction, feeling better and thinking of taking Qin Jiale to find some food, since there were lots of good things to eat there.

He rarely went out to buy these snacks, but that didn’t mean he didn’t know about them.

It was precisely because he knew that he could find good food right away.

He thought that taking her to eat good food would perhaps improve her mood.

Ye Li didn’t really understand these things originally, but not understanding doesn’t mean he didn’t know how to do it. By observing the actions of those around him, he could more or less figure it out. So now, Mr. Ye was about to take Qin Jiale to eat some good food.

As for other matters, they chose to put them aside for now, thinking only about how to proceed.

To a certain extent, Qin Jiale’s thoughts and actions determined everything for Ye Li.

Wherever she went, Ye Li would follow. This was something he hadn’t anticipated initially, so for her sake, he followed without a second thought.

Because he cared, he didn’t want to let go. This was Ye Li’s inner thought.

”No need, I’m going back later.” Qin Jiale wanted to refuse.

”Come on, why are you hesitating like this? I won’t do anything to you.” Ye Li didn’t want to say much more, focusing instead on what would be best to do so that she wouldn’t resist his approach.

”That’s not what I meant, it’s just...” Qin Jiale wanted to say something else, but looking into Ye Li’s unblinking eyes, she found herself at a loss for words.

”No buts. My sister-in-law is such a straightforward person, I don’t believe you’d be so wishy-washy.” Ye Li didn’t allow her to refuse, and directly turned to walk away, fully expecting that Qin Jiale would catch up.

Ye Li knew her quite well, and indeed, when he walked about ten meters away, Qin Jiale trotted to catch up.

”Ye Li, don’t compare me to my sister in the future. We are two different people, there’s no comparison to be made.” Qin Jiale thought about how outstanding her sister was, while she seemed incapable of anything. This wasn’t the result she wanted, so she’d better take a look at the situation first.

She didn’t like people comparing her to her sister because her sister was just too excellent, and she herself couldn’t measure up even to a fraction of her sister’s accomplishments. In such a case, there was nothing worth comparing, only a feeling of self-imposed disgrace.
