Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2975: Chapter 2973: Worried About My Sister

After Qin Xue and Nangong Beiying went back to The Nangongs and finished talking things through, she went to the shop to take her younger sister and the kids home.

”Sis, you were gone a bit too long. Did something happen?” Qin Jiale had eaten at the shop with the kids, so they weren’t hungry, but her sister had said she was going to check on a patient, and then most of the day passed with no sign of her. It made her really anxious.

Now that she finally saw her sister, she felt like she’d been scared half to death by her.

”Nothing happened. I ran into Yingying and Qing Zhu, so we went to eat together and talk some things over. I hadn’t planned on going, but I figured you all wouldn’t go hungry at the shop, so after thinking it over I went with them.” Of course Qin Xue knew they had food here; otherwise she wouldn’t have been able to be away for that long.

”As long as you’re fine. Let’s go home then, the kids have been out too long and keep fussing about wanting to go back.” Qin Jiale understood what the kids meant; if they hadn’t been waiting for their aunt, she would’ve taken them home already and wouldn’t have stayed this late.

But seeing her sister like this, she felt it wasn’t very good to say too much for now; better to observe the situation first and then decide.

And for her, something like this was about as normal as it gets; she had no idea her sister would completely play by her own rules.

Qin Jiale felt her sister was already worrisome enough—she just disappeared the moment she left.

”Mm. Where are the kids?” Qin Xue hadn’t seen them since she came in and had no idea what they were up to.

”They’re in the backyard playing with Nannan. It’s like they never get tired of it. They’re together all day at school and still play like this when they come back. But I get it, so I just let them be.” When she heard her sister ask about her nephews and nieces, Qin Jiale just pointed toward the backyard; she herself was at the front helping to look after the shop.

”That’s fine too. Kids like noise and bustle, just let them play, it’s okay.” Qin Xue didn’t say they weren’t allowed to play together; she just nodded. Kids liking to play is in their nature; there’s no need to stop them.

If the kids can come out and play with their little friends, they’re definitely happy. If they were made to go home now, they wouldn’t be happy, so better not disturb them—let them play to their hearts’ content first.

”Sis, that man of Dongfang Li said he wants to take them away. Do you think she’ll go back?” What Qin Jiale thought of was that Jin Yufeng had said before that he wanted to take their family of three back. But Dongfang Li seemed very resistant, and she didn’t know if she would leave.

Whether she left or not, Qin Jiale herself didn’t actually care that much; what she cared about was her sister’s business.

Dongfang Li was helping them manage those embroiderers. If she wasn’t here anymore, then who would help them oversee things in the future?

So, Qin Jiale didn’t want her to go, but she didn’t know how to put it into words.

This was something between a husband and wife; as an outsider, she had no way of butting in, and no way to say much about it. After all, some things can’t be straightened out just because they say a few words; it still depends on what the people involved want.

Otherwise, no matter how much they say or do, it’s useless, because it’s that couple’s life they’re living; outsiders can’t really understand what it’s like.

But thinking too much was pointless; the decision lay in Dongfang Li’s hands. What she wanted to do, they’d have to wait and see.

It wasn’t like if Qin Jiale wished she would stay, she wouldn’t leave. They could only let things take their course.

And Dongfang Li probably had her own ideas in her heart as well. It’s just, was this really nothing to do with her sister?

As she thought, Qin Jiale kept glancing at her sister, not knowing where her sister could find another master like this if she really did leave. This was skilled work; not just anyone could do it.
