Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2942: Chapter 2940: Visiting Xiao Qi

The patient, when Nangong Beiying wakes up and sees the note, she’ll know that I’ve been here.

Qin Xue didn’t want to say much more now; some things can only be said in person. This guard seemed fine, but it’s rare to see someone so quiet and yet doesn’t permit meetings with the family.

Encountering this at the Nangongs, she thinks maybe this person didn’t know about the situation inside.

So, she decided to leave first, not wanting to waste any more time here.

Everyone has their own thoughts, and Qin Xue doesn’t want to think of everyone as bad, but she also doesn’t want to make herself look like a fool by being too open about everything.

Though she wrote the note in front of the guard, she included a few words in it that he wouldn’t understand.

It was a game the three of them often played; even if others got the note, they wouldn’t think she wrote or did anything special.

After folding the note nicely, Qin Xue handed it along with the paper and pen to the guard.

”Please give this to your young lady when she returns, thank you.” After thanking him, Qin Xue turned and left.

The guard hadn’t expected her to be so straightforward; those who came before were always persistent. He hadn’t expected a pregnant woman with such a big belly to be so polite. The outcome was something he hadn’t anticipated.

He had always faced much frustration with previous visitors but realized this time was different.

No matter what he thought, he just hadn’t expected this visitor to be so different from the others.

He put away the note Qin Xue gave him, placing it into his pocket to hand it to Nangong Beiying when she came out.

Actually, he was with the Qingteng Gang, sent there by Qing Teng himself. He’d never done anything like this before, but upon seeing Nangong Beiying so exhausted, he instinctively wanted her to get more rest. And since he hadn’t met Qin Xue before, he didn’t know what kind of person she was.

That’s precisely why the misunderstanding occurred, unknown to both parties.

Qin Xue didn’t know all the members of the Qingteng Gang, and not everyone there knew of a cousin like Qin Xue. It was this mutual lack of understanding that led to today’s developments.

After leaving the Nangongs’ home, Qin Xue went to the hospital, as there was another patient there.

Originally, she wanted to find Nangong Beiying to accompany her, but she’d already been to several places without seeing her. Alas, nothing was going smoothly today.

Qin Xue pondered what to do while walking; the outcome was something she hadn’t foreseen.

Now she had to go see the patient alone and deal with other matters later.

”Mrs. Xiao, how is Xiao Qi?” Qin Xue asked upon arriving at the hospital.

She happened to see Mrs. Xiao as she came out and asked her directly.

”He’s still the same; we don’t know when he’ll wake up.” Mrs. Xiao felt uneasy, wondering how such a thing happened to their Xiao Qi.

”I’ll go see him; try not to worry too much. I think it shouldn’t be a big problem.” Qin Xue didn’t want to say much about their family issues; all that mattered now was Xiao Qi getting better. As for other matters, that was for their family to think about.

Qin Xue had a big heart; she didn’t overthink or talk much, focusing instead on seeing his condition before making any decisions.
