Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2909: Chapter 2907: Not Complaining About Life’s Injustices

For such a young child, this matter was truly too difficult. The best he could do now was to take good care of his health and then find a way to do something.

The hardships of life had exposed them to the warmth and coldness of the mortal world, but they never let other matters change their hearts. Instead, just as their parents taught them, they should love this world. So, for the sake of their parents, they would strive to live, no matter how tough or challenging it got.

Ji Yan didn’t say much; he was just thinking about how to meet his parents’ expectations while taking better care of his sister. That was his greatest goal.

As for other matters, he didn’t bother, nor did he complain about the injustices of life.

When one’s mindset is negative, even the most beautiful things will be kept away, never to be seen. Therefore, he would not allow himself or his sister to have such a mindset, to see only one side and miss the bigger picture.

This was why they remained optimistic despite enduring so much hardship.

Because they were truly trying hard to live, they wouldn’t do more than that.

Qin Xue felt relieved when she saw that Ji Yan didn’t seem strange. It was good as long as he didn’t feel like they were being patronized.

It is often said that young people never know the toil behind the food they eat. They had their thresholds in life. Once that threshold was crossed, discomfort would arise in their hearts.

Qin Xue would not let her goodwill be misinterpreted in such a way, nor would she hurt the children’s self-esteem.

She would respect their thoughts and actions, but she would try her best to help when she could.

This was why, despite wanting to help, they hadn’t done so boldly.

Some people think you should help them and accept it as a matter of course.

However, others feel it’s unnecessary to accept your favor, as it makes them uncomfortable. Regardless, for this couple, it was because Ji Yan and his sister might be Chu Molin’s family that she wanted to help more. That was all.

She was just doing her part given the circumstances.

”You all eat first, and after that, let Xue’er check your wound,” Chu Molin said, looking at them and advising them to eat first and talk about anything else after they were full.

”Okay.” The siblings didn’t say much but thought they should bring some food to Qin Xue and her family in the future.

”Sister Qin, why did you bring so much food? It’s not right. You have a big family, yet you bring us so much food. How can this be?” The siblings were a bit shocked when they saw what was inside.

Because it wasn’t just cooked food, but also meat and some grains, which were not small things but very valuable.

”It’s for you to heal, and look, your sister needs nutrition too. Don’t mind this little bit of stuff. Once you grow up, you’ll be able to earn it back. Why worry about not being able to eat it then?” Qin Xue laughed. Being grateful was good, but failing to see the circumstance could be foolish.

So, the kind of person Ji Yan was, would depend on his own choices.

”Alright, we’ll keep it for now. Next time, don’t bring anything. Just visiting us is the best comfort. You are like family to us, and we never expected anything from you. As long as you’re all well, that’s happiness for us.” Being a bit older, Ji Yan spoke and acted with a bit more maturity.
