Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2759: Chapter 2757: Wanting to Teach the Children to Swim

”What’s so difficult about this? It’s just that the pool is so small; there’s no way to teach here. Let’s wait until we’re back in the Imperial Capital and then see about it,” Chu Molin said as he looked at the small pool. It was just about right for one adult, but too narrow for two people to learn to swim together. So teaching wasn’t an option right now.

”Okay, Xue Ling, keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t fall in. I’m going to check how much medicinal herbs we have and see if there’s enough for me to use,” Qin Xue instructed Xue Ling.

She genuinely didn’t know how to address this issue, so she’d let them play while Xue Ling watched over them.

After dealing with those matters, Qin Xue went about her own tasks. When she was done, the children were already asleep.

Looking at the children on the bed, Qin Xue felt she had come to spend time with them but ended up busy again without the chance to be with them, only having time once they were already asleep. She really felt guilty, like she owed them a lot.

”Finished working? Are you very tired?” Chu Molin asked, looking up from his book after hearing Qin Xue sigh.

”Am I unfit for this?” Qin Xue asked quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed and gently stroking the heads of the two children.

”No, don’t overthink it. Our children are sensible and know how hard you work every day. They won’t blame you,” Chu Molin thought his wife was worrying too much.

She’s been working hard just to provide them with a better life; how could she be unfit? She’s really overthinking things.

”It’s precisely because they’re so sensible that I feel even guiltier. It feels like since they’ve grown up, I haven’t really been there for them. At times like this, I’m truly at a loss as to what to do,” Qin Xue felt that becoming a mother made her feel as free as when she was single.

At these moments, she doesn’t know whether to say Chu Molin spoils her or that the children love her dearly.

”Just be yourself.” Chu Molin set his book down. This silly woman, doesn’t she realize what she’s been doing? She’s striving so hard to ensure a better life for the kids; why would they blame her?

Thus, Chu Molin thought Qin Xue was really worrying excessively.

Sometimes Qin Xue is very rational, and yet sometimes she acts silly, just like now.

No matter what she does, he still loves her deeply; doesn’t she understand this?

Whatever Qin Xue thinks or does is what matters most to Chu Molin, so seeing her so upset, he walked over to her and held her in his arms, leaning his head on her shoulder, just silently embracing her without saying a word.

After Qin Xue fell asleep, he placed her next to the children. Since she felt guilty, he’d let her sleep beside them.

Chu Molin walked to the table, sat down, and continued reading.

From time to time, he’d glance at the mother and children on the bed, then calmly continue reading.

When he became tired, he returned to the bed, lying down next to his wife; it was rare for the family of four to sleep on the same bed.

When Qin Xue woke up, it was already mid-morning. She hadn’t wasted much time, so she said a few words and exited the space with Chu Molin. The space was filled with spiritual energy which greatly impacted people. Surprisingly, after sleeping through the night, she felt incredibly refreshed and invigorated.

This was what she had hoped for but seldom did, as there were frequent visitors in the family, so she rarely entered the space to rest, worried about being discovered. Unexpectedly, after resting, she really felt revitalized and energetic.
