Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2550: Chapter 2544: Loving His Wife

”We’ve never spent time alone like this before. Now that we’re legally married, we should enjoy some time together. Don’t worry, I’ve already spoken to Dad. We’ll return in a month.” Ye Xuan managed to get such a long leave because his hand wasn’t completely healed.

That’s why Ye Xiao granted him the extended leave, especially since he brought a wife home. Ye Xiao was pleased, realizing they hadn’t really gotten to know each other well, so he generously approved the leave. In a way, Ye Xuan was fortunate thanks to Qing Zhu.

”Tell me, we had already agreed on the date, why did it suddenly change?” Qing Zhu looked at Ye Xuan, and he even managed to convince her, which is what made her unhappy. But the decision was hers, what could she do but go along with it.

”My brother resigned, so now we’re waiting for my hand to heal so I can take over. If we got the marriage certificate on schedule, we wouldn’t have time for a getaway. So we got the certificate early, but we can still hold the wedding banquet on the planned date, right?” Ye Xuan had his own reasons, and that’s why he changed the date.

Originally, they planned to get the marriage certificate the day before the banquet, with the banquet the next day. But now, they got the certificate early and went on a trip, while the banquet date remained unchanged.

”But Xuexue thought we weren’t having the banquet, and I thought so too.” Not only did Qin Xue think that, but Qing Zhu did too, which made her feel like she was bewitched to agree to it.

”No way, I’d never wrong you. I talked to Dad about having a big banquet. Last time we had a meal with friends and family, it was just to celebrate finding my wife and daughter. That wasn’t our wedding banquet. If you didn’t know, why didn’t you ask me? What were you thinking?” Ye Xuan was really puzzled with Qing Zhu. She seemed so smart but was so confused about this. If he really did that, he’d feel like he wasn’t a man, who would treat their wife and daughter like that?

So no way it could stay like that. He was just having someone else help with the arrangements. He wasn’t refusing her a wedding, but wanted to take her on a trip first, and then have the banquet before going back to work. By then, he wouldn’t have time to accompany her, but he didn’t realize leaving things unsaid would lead to a misunderstanding.

”You’re so unreliable; who knows what you mean?” If Qing Zhu had foreseeing abilities, she’d know without him saying. But she’s human, not a deity, how could she know what he means?

After Ye Xuan explained things to Qing Zhu and saw she understood, he put their daughter on the bed and went out to fetch water from the mountain. Though it wasn’t far, it was still a bit of a walk.

”Stay home and watch the child, I’ll fetch water and cook for you,” Ye Xuan wasn’t a cook, but he knew how to make porridge.

”Alright, then I’ll wait for the food,” Qing Zhu responded with a surprised smile.

Having food and not having to cook herself was wonderful, so after hearing that, she was naturally happy. Otherwise, after a day of travel, she’d feel like crying having to cook. With Ye Xuan being so considerate, her heart felt sweet like having eaten candy. He finally showed some concern for his wife, giving her a bit of comfort.
