Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2429: Chapter 2423: She Has a Boyfriend

”Let’s not think too much about it for now. Just take it one step at a time. No matter how much we say, it won’t change anything; they’ll do whatever they should. Once brother-in-law finds the person, they’ll come back. We just need to focus on our own tasks.” Qin Yu said while helping to change the water.

”Yeah, you’re right. If I hadn’t overheard your conversation with sister, I wouldn’t even know about this. Honestly, you guys aren’t being fair. I’m your little sister, yet you didn’t tell me.” Qin Jiale looked at her brother, questioning if he still considered her his sister.

”I didn’t want you to worry, and sister said not many people know about this yet. We don’t want it to spread and get distorted.” Qin Yu didn’t want others talking about his sister because of some issues.

”Got it, brother. Now that we’re here, Mom and Dad won’t be home. When we go back, should we head directly to S Province?” Qin Jiale wondered, now that she had transferred here, there wouldn’t be anyone back home when they return.

But Grandpa and Grandma are still at home. After we go back, are we supposed to head to Uncle’s house or tidy up the house ourselves and manage on our own?

”Why are you overthinking all this? Just focus on your studies and living your life well. I’m here for everything else. You’re so young, worrying about these things will age you prematurely. Be careful, or you’ll grow old too fast, and no one will want you.” Qin Yu teased his sister, who seemed to know too much and be too sensible for her age, leaving him unsure how to address her concerns.

”Brother, is it okay if I don’t get married in the future?” Qin Jiale felt she could live well on her own; marriage wasn’t essential.

”No, in the future, live your own life. If you don’t find someone good, find a man who will marry into the family, so you won’t have to worry about being mistreated.” Qin Yu didn’t want his sister to remain unmarried, but he also didn’t want her to be mistreated.

”Never mind, it’s too early to talk about this. Let’s wash the kids first before Ye Li arrives.” Qin Jiale felt foolish discussing this with her brother while still in high school; it was indeed too early.

”Aren’t you the one who keeps chattering on and on?” Qin Yu chuckled, looking at his sister, who’d turned into quite the little busybody.

”Brother, you’re being a bit much.” Qin Jiale looked at her brother. She said so much because she was worried, without anyone to talk to. Watching over the kids every day, she feared for her sister’s safety, hence discussing it with her brother.

But her brother actually poked fun at her, which was a bit excessive. It left her at a loss for words.

”Is my little sister growing up, thinking too much about everything? Stop it from now on. Your brother will handle everything, all you need is to be happy, okay?” Qin Yu looked at his sister. Although at this age, kids in poor families were like little adults, in their family, he just wanted her to study more and pursue what she loved.

”Got it, brother. I haven’t seen Ziyu in a long time; why don’t you take Yuran to see her tomorrow? After all, Yuran needs to see the doctor for a stomach ache.” Qin Jiale thought it had been a long time since she visited their house. Taking the unwell child over provided a good excuse.

”What are you talking about? She has a boyfriend. Saying things like that might lead to misunderstandings.” Qin Yu recalled the last time he saw Ouyang Ziyu; he hadn’t seen her since. He didn’t know if it was because she was busy or something else. Regardless, since she had a boyfriend, keeping his distance seemed appropriate.
