Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2423: Chapter 2417: Half for Each

”It’s so nice to have you.” Qin Xue ate the egg white of her egg and put the yolk into his mouth. Watching him open his mouth and eat it, she felt even happier. This was great, having someone to eat the food she didn’t like, so it wouldn’t go to waste.

Qin Xue didn’t just dislike egg yolks, she also didn’t like eating meat skins, like chicken or duck skins. Before, she used to feed them to dogs when she was eating. After she went to boarding school, she couldn’t feed them anymore, so she would just throw them away. When she first arrived here, she peeled them off while cooking, intending to throw them away. But in this era of scarcity, if she threw them away, she’d probably get struck by Thunder. So she just set them aside, and later, Chu Molin ate them.

Although Chu Molin never asked her why she didn’t eat the meat skins, he also ate everything she didn’t want without any complaints.

It’s not that Qin Xue didn’t want to try; she did try to eat some. However, after eating, she would feel nauseous, and her stomach felt uncomfortable, like a storm inside. To avoid torturing her stomach any further, she stopped eating those things.

Eating with Chu Molin was the best; someone would eat what she wouldn’t. When eating alone, if there was livestock to feed, she would feed them to the animals. If not, she would just throw them away.

”Xue’er, you’re pregnant now, you should try to eat some egg yolks, they are nutritious.” Chu Molin looked at her smiling face, reluctant to dampen her good mood. But just eating egg whites wasn’t enough to supplement the nutrition she needed.

This nutritional imbalance would wear her body down. He was grateful that the pregnancy hadn’t troubled her much, otherwise, the safety of the baby might have been at risk, and discussions about nutrition wouldn’t even be relevant.

”I don’t want to.” Qin Xue replied to Chu Molin without thinking. Although she didn’t eat egg yolks, she did eat other foods. She consumed fish and other meats, trying her best to balance her diet, though it couldn’t fully replace the nutrients.

”Even if you don’t feel like it, you should try to eat a little. How about you eat half and I eat the other half?” Chu Molin sincerely felt that Qin Xue needed some coaxing to comply with this request.

”Okay then.” Qin Xue felt that it was too dry and got stuck in her throat, so she didn’t like eating it. But Chu Molin’s childlike tone made her feel like she was struck by Thunder, her heart feeling jolted. So she couldn’t refuse.

To prevent him from saying anything else, she agreed for now. Later, she would decide whether to eat it or not. If worse comes to worst, she could just stop cooking eggs in the future.

Qin Xue thought it through. She wouldn’t tell Chu Molin about this, because it would definitely make him unhappy.

So, even if Qin Xue thought of doing this, she wouldn’t say it in front of Chu Molin.

Chu Molin didn’t know what Qin Xue was thinking, so he believed her when she said it. He wouldn’t force her to do anything she didn’t want to, but he was willing to indulge her. If it made her happy, he’d let her be happy. A cheerful mother would bring forth a happier, more smiling child.

Especially when he thought the baby might be a daughter, his heart softened even more. Having a daughter like her would be even better.
