Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2419: Chapter 2413: Out of His Mind

”Snow Wolf, stop looking already. No matter how much you look, we can’t get up there. It seems we really are going to be trapped here to death.” Ye Xuan gazed at the wolf. He didn’t want to say this, but they were both injured when they fell down, and they didn’t have anything to eat. They were relying solely on the little water and dry food Ye Xuan had brought. He could eat a little and hang on for a while, but the wolf couldn’t. So, while they were both guarded yet depended on each other, they had stayed here for three days, and their food had run out yesterday. So now they were starved and weak.

They had tried shouting for help, but after calling out a few times and hearing no response, they had to abandon this impractical method to conserve energy.

Now their injuries weren’t getting proper treatment and were showing signs of inflammation, meaning if they weren’t found soon, they’d either die of hunger and thirst or from their injuries becoming infected.

Only, having a wolf accompany him in death wasn’t too bad, having company. But deep inside, Ye Xuan did not want this kind of companionship; sometimes if he couldn’t do something himself, he didn’t wish others to suffer with him.

”Howl!” What do you know? I don’t want to die here with you. If you were willing to give me the snowdrops at the start, how would I have ended up burdened to this extent with you? And yet you have the nerve to speak. Snow Wolf looked at Ye Xuan, thinking he was ridiculous. Why did it follow him here?

But after all its howling, the man had no reaction. It was at a loss and could only give him a glance, then looked at the entrance, raised its head to look, and then glanced below the cave entrance. This situation, it really wasn’t clear how they could find a way to be rescued.

Were they really going to be trapped and die here? Was this going to be its fate? Snow Wolf thought about taking the snowdrops back to save its mate, had guarded it for many years, and it finally bloomed, but led to such an ending. Honestly, it felt fate was unfair.

”What are you trying to say? I don’t understand. Now, in this situation, even if we want to do something, we can’t achieve it. If you can somehow secure a foothold and just happen someone comes looking for us, maybe there’s still a chance for rescue.” Ye Xuan thought, they’re halfway up a mountain, or rather, on a cliffside. Who would think to find them here?

The narrow platform here was small. It was already miraculous they landed here safely; hoping to be found was extremely slim.

Snow Wolf looked at Ye Xuan, not understanding what he meant. Could it be he had some method? Snow Wolf stared at Ye Xuan intently, hoping he could understand what it was trying to say.

”Can you find a foothold? If you can, make one for me. I’ll tie a cloth strip to it, as a desperate measure, hoping someone will come looking for us, hoping someone will see we’re here.” Ye Xuan waved the remaining cloth strip used to bandage his fracture with one hand.

”Howl!” Fine, I’ll do it, but can this really work? Snow Wolf looked at the cloth strip, then glanced at the cave entrance and returned to Ye Xuan’s side.

”Have you found a foothold?” Ye Xuan asked Snow Wolf excitedly. If there was a foothold, things would be more manageable, although it might block them, it was a protruding place, easier to be seen.

”Howl!” Yes, hurry up, although hopes are slim, I don’t want to die here with you either. Snow Wolf really wanted to cry; honestly, can’t this person be a bit more clever?
