Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2426: Chapter 2420: Mud Monkey

”Uncle, I’m not lying, this is the water I brought.” Cohen looked at the basin of water. Initially, he fetched it for Yu Chen to wash his face. Who knew that Yu Chen would spill the water to play with mud. Playing was fine, but what was the point of jumping in the wet mud? Wasn’t he just asking to be scolded?

Now, he couldn’t even deny it if he wanted to. As for Yu Chen, he really didn’t know what to say. He knew now, Yu Chen was a little troublemaker, a little devil who specialized in causing chaos. Seeing the results now, as his older brother, what else could he do but shoulder the burden?

”I know it’s the water you brought, but did you make this mess?” Qin Yu had watched him bring the water, so of course he believed him, but he couldn’t believe Cohen was responsible for the water and mud being like this.

”Uncle, I...” Cohen didn’t know what to say. He wasn’t someone who could lie. Seeing the knowing look in Qin Yu’s eyes, he couldn’t continue speaking.

”You can play by yourselves, but look at Yuran. What has she turned into? If your Aunt Qing comes back and sees her daughter turned into a mud monkey, what will she think?” Qin Yu had no choice and reached out to hold Qing Yuran.

Ye Li was clueless about taking care of children. After Qing Yuran cried for more than an hour, he got scared and immediately brought her living necessities along with the child to Qin Yu and his siblings.

Ye Li was basically living at Chu Molin’s place now. Four people taking care of four kids was enough to keep them busy. When they divided the kids, it was manageable, but who knew gathering them together would practically bring the roof down.

”Uncle, the little sister wanted to play, that’s why I did it.” Yu Chen looked at Qin Yu with a big grin, was he doing well or not?

”Little rascal, I’d love to know, was it you who wanted to play or your little sister? Clearly, you started playing first, then your little sister joined in.” Qin Jiale stepped out from the house and looked at Yuran in his brother’s arms. Goodness, other than her face, everywhere else was covered in mud. More mud than a country kid growing up in the countryside could manage. Even when Qin Jiale played in the mud with village friends as a child, he hadn’t been as muddy as Qing Yuran was now.

Right now, the priority was to get the child cleaned up. Qin Jiale went to the kitchen to fetch water. This little mud monkey had really gotten dirty.

”Yuran, are you still my niece?” Ye Li came in from outside and saw the child in Qin Yu’s hands. My God, was this still the little girl his sister-in-law just handed over to him? If his sister-in-law saw this, would she obliterate him?

”Quick, hold her. Stop running around.” Qin Yu handed Yuran over to Ye Li.

”Brother, can you stop shoving her into my arms? Look, my clothes are filthy now.” Qin Yu’s straightforwardness made Ye Li wail in despair.

Look at him now, covered in mud like Qing Yuran. How was this supposed to work? Was he supposed to clean the child first or himself first?

”Try calling me ’brother’ again, see if I don’t throw you out.” Qin Yu glanced at Ye Li. This guy was really something else. He drops the child off, and then dares to overstep, even changing how he addressed Qin Yu.

”Jiale, look, if you do it this way, even if I wash her, she’ll still get dirty.” Ye Li didn’t dare act recklessly anymore.

”Serves you right. You were irresponsible, not watching the kids and running off. Now, with the child in this state, you need to take the main responsibility, got it?” Qin Yu just glanced at him, not bothering further. That’s what happens when you just think about running off all day without caring for the kids. Now you’ve learned your lesson, haven’t you? Go show off elsewhere.
