Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1512: Chapter 1506: Heroes First_1 Chapter 1512: Chapter 1506: Heroes First_1 “Mom, I got plenty of sleep. I’m just getting up to make breakfast for you all, it’s not tiring.” Qin Xue laughed. It’s not like she was doing any heavy labor, but it felt as if she had accomplished some monumental task.

“Alright then, take your time cooking. Is there anything you need me to do?” Nangong Shulan couldn’t be bothered to interfere. If her daughter wanted to handle it, she would let her.

“There’s nothing that needs to be done. Everything’s almost ready. As soon as the porridge is done, we can eat. We have to leave early today; we got an early train ticket.” Qin Xue was helpless. Without the convenience of booking tickets on a mobile app, they had to queue up early to buy the tickets. If they got to the station too late, they might not be able to get tickets, causing further delays. It wasn’t ideal for anyone, so she had to prepare quickly.

“Well then, eat and get out of here. Leave the child to us. I will save some food for Qing Zhu.” Nangong Shulan knew that it wasn’t easy to get tickets these days.

Qin Xue wasn’t particularly worried about getting tickets, she was directly buying them herself. However, the rush made her anxious.

Qin Xue thought of all the signs stating ‘Military Personnel First.’ While it had been the slogan for a long time, when soldiers acted on it, they were accused of cutting in line. She felt this was worth implementing fully.

Actually, there’s no reason military personnel shouldn’t have priority. They were safeguarding us all, especially the soldiers patrolling the remote border areas. Some braved harsh and sweltering summers, while others endured chilling winds in the snow-covered mountains.

Qin Xue had the good fortune to witness border soldiers patrolling in the snow. In conditions where the snow was so deep it reached their thighs or even their waists, they never complained of hardship or exhaustion. Who else but soldiers could endure such conditions?

These devoted soldiers, who always prioritize the masses and national security and interests, are our true heroes, the great people we love and respect. It is because of their sacrifices that we live peaceful lives.

So stop questioning the priority given to soldiers. When they are guarding us, where are we? When they are on patrol in the icy wilderness, surviving on snow for water, where are we? Whenever disaster strikes, it is always our beloved soldiers who are on the front line. Countless soldiers have sacrificed their lives on the front lines.

Do we really believe they never tire or hurt? No, it’s their faith and sense of duty that keeps them going. It’s the safety of the masses they are waiting to protect.

If they were to fall, what hope would the people have left? Without them, could we continue living these peaceful days? No, without them, not only would peace be impossible, but chaos might ensue. In Qin Xue’s heart, there has always been a dream: to stand alongside the soldiers. They were her heroes, her role models.

Given the opportunity, she would be satisfied to become even a small-time doctor. It would be a step closer to her dream. She could live among the people she loved most. That would be the best thing ever.

So stop asking why preferential treatment for soldiers is necessary. They truly deserve our collective love and respect. They cannot stay by their parents’ sides or live with their wives and children. Even worse, some are buried in distant lands, their remains forever resting there, having never been given a chance to see their families one last time.

This wasn’t just Qin Xue talking. These were her thoughts, and it was how she acted. When she couldn’t change others’ attitudes, she led by example, putting her beliefs into action.

For many soldiers, if one of them was your family member, and you saw your kin: your sons, fathers, or husbands being marginalized, how would you feel deep down?
