Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1506: Chapter 1500: Meeting Guo Rui Again_1 Chapter 1506: Chapter 1500: Meeting Guo Rui Again_1 At that moment, Qin Yu saw Guo Rui had returned to his shop. Hadn’t he made his intentions clear to her the year before? He really didn’t understand why she had come back.

“Ms. Guo, why are you here?” Qin Yu asked, taking a step back from Guo Rui who stood before him.

“Nothing much, I just wanted to ask if you’ve only got your heart set on the Imperial Capital and nowhere else? We have to apply for universities in a month and I wanted to know your plans. If that’s the case, then I have to make a decision as well. I haven’t sought you out since last year, this is the first time I’ve been here since I promised you.”

“Yes.” Qin Yu was not one to lie. After hearing her inquiry, he firmly responded with a single word that revealed his unchanging decision.

“Alright, I understand. See you in the Imperial Capital then.” Guo Rui nodded. If she wanted to be with Qin Yu, she needed to be a woman who can keep pace with him.

Her family was far more affluent than Qin Yu’s, but Qin Yu was eager to progress, willing to work hard. According to her father, he single-handedly turned his shop into a successful venture, doing much better than expected. This attracted her to Qin Yu even more.

She discovered that Qin Yu’s rejection of her was not because he had someone else in his heart, but because he wanted to focus on his studies right now. In other words, as long as she didn’t give up, one day, Qin Yu would recognise her worth.

But Qin Yu did not know what she was thinking. If he had, he would have shared his thoughts with her sooner, so as not to hurt her so deeply by dragging it out.

“Ms. Guo, why are you doing this?” Qin Yu was at a loss for words. He thought he had made himself clear the last time.

“Even if you don’t like me, you can’t stop me from liking you, right?” Guo Rui figured what Qin Yu was going to say, so decided to clear the air. “It’s okay if you don’t like me. As long as I like you, It doesn’t affect you, does it?”

One could say that Guo Rui was somewhat self-centered, but she was also someone who wouldn’t give up easily.

“As you wish.” Qin Yu was at a loss for what to say. He had never met such a stubborn girl before. Well, at least not besides his sister, who was even more stubborn than Guo Rui. But his sister was a loved one, that was different. Qin Yu didn’t know what to say anymore.

“Help me pick two bottles of wine then, to bring home for my parents.” Guo Rui, not wanting to leave disgracefully, decided to buy some wine. She could convince herself that persistence crowns it all, but she also didn’t want to lose face.

“Alright.” Qin Yu didn’t want her to feel this way, but he couldn’t refuse her out of respect. He understood that a girl’s heart can be very sensitive, he couldn’t be too harsh.

“These two should be suitable for your parents’ age group, what do you think?” Qin Yu offered her two bottles of wine he had selected.

He did not choose the most expensive ones for her, but ones that her father, Guo Aiguo, often enjoyed. Guo Rui, seeing her parents every day, would undoubtedly know what kind of wine they liked. She asked for his help just to reduce the awkwardness.

Therefore, Qin Yu simply picked one that her father often bought, to alleviate the awkward situation.

“Thank you. Here’s the money.” When Guo Rui extended her hand to take the wine, she also put the money in Qin Yu’s hand. She didn’t have the intention to coax him into accepting her before she left. So, after giving him the money, she took the wine and left. From behind, she seemed carefree; what her inner feelings were, only Guo Rui herself knew.
