A God-tier Counter-damage Priest, I am the Master!

51: Game update, disordered chapter!”Damn! It’s that cheater Brilliant again. Why does he always get all the good things first?”

”Damn it, this guy is practically the chosen one! He was the first to capture a pet, and now he’s the first to get a mount. Brilliant is definitely God Sky’s favorite son!”

”A big shot is a big shot; always being chased but never surpassed. I truly admire him with all my heart!”

”Haha, good things come in pairs! Everyone should thank Brilliant for unlocking the mount function. From now on, leveling up in the wild and running across maps will be much easier.”

”Exactly! Before, when we went to level up in the wild, even a slightly distant place would take over two hours of travel time. It was practically killing us!”

”...”

As soon as the system announcement came out, the entire game world was in an uproar, with players having mixed opinions about Brilliant.

—— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations to player [Brilliant] for reaching level 20. You have met the requirements for your class’s Second Transfer. You can head to the nearest [myriad manifestations stone gazing at heaven] to activate the Second Transfer quest.)”

This was a complete surprise!

After taming the Ancestral Return Strange Horse, he was directly rewarded with a level, and Bai Tian instantly shot up to level 20.

Normally, at a standard leveling speed, Bai Tian would have needed at least one or two more days to reach level 20.

However, Bai Tian was in no hurry to return to the city. His eyes were fixed intently on the Ancestral Return Strange Horse that had become his mount.

The Ancestral Return Strange Horse had fully recovered. Its coat was as smooth as silk and as pure as snow.

The blue single horn on its head looked like a Brilliant gemstone.

When it stood up, it was two meters tall at the waist alone, its muscular lines robust and powerful.

Dazzling blue starlight sparks burned beneath its four thick hooves, glowing brilliantly.

Everywhere it stepped, it left behind blue hoofprints.

The Ancestral Return Strange Horse gave a soft snort, then lowered its large, majestic head and gently nudged Bai Tian’s chest.

Then it stuck out a wet tongue and lightly licked Bai Tian’s face.

It seemed this fellow had already begun to bond with its master, no longer as irritable as before.

Full of joy, Bai Tian stroked the long, snow-white hair on the back of its neck and began to check the Ancestral Return Strange Horse’s basic information.

—— [Ancestral Return Strange Horse]

Quality: 8-Star High-Rank Mount

Owner: Brilliant

Level: 20 (Cannot be higher than the owner)

Attributes: Shares 80% of the owner’s basic attributes.

Skills: Flying Swallow Kick, Extreme Cold Storm, Frost Breath.

Riding Speed: 1000

Dismount Resistance: 64%

Loyalty: 65

Hunger: 51

Like pets, mounts are also divided into star ratings, from 1-star to 18-stars.

The Ancestral Return Strange Horse, an 8-star high-rank mount, could share 80% of its owner Bai Tian’s basic attributes once a connection was established.

Therefore, the stronger Bai Tian became, the stronger the mount would be.

Right, the system just rewarded him with a Mount Soul Stone. Could it be used to increase the mount’s level?

Bai Tian immediately checked his bag and took out a magnificent stone.

The stone emitted a faint purple light, containing a divine power that made its extraordinary nature apparent at a glance.

—— [Rare Grade - Mount Soul Stone]!

(When used on a mount below the Spirit Beast level: 50% chance to increase by 1 star; 25% chance to increase by 2 stars; 15% chance to increase by 3 stars; 10% chance to increase by 4 stars.)

(Upper limit cannot exceed Immortal Beast.)

(During the ancient war between gods and demons, a star fell into the Yellow Springs of the Azure Sky. After countless ages of accumulation, it transformed into a mysterious power that can awaken the ancient bloodline power hidden within a mount’s soul.)

Bai Tian held the soul stone, his heart full of anticipation.

He wasn’t greedy; he only hoped to increase it by three stars so the Ancestral Return Strange Horse could reach the Spirit Beast level. That would satisfy him.

Bai Tian pressed his palms together and prayed devoutly: ”Please, please, give me some luck! Minimum 3 stars, aiming for 4!”

Then, without hesitation, he used the Mount Soul Stone on the Ancestral Return Strange Horse.

Instantly, light overflowed as the soul stone’s power surged into the Ancestral Return Strange Horse’s body.

Stimulated by this power, the Ancestral Return Strange Horse reared up and let out a violent, startled whinny.

The system prompt followed immediately.

”(You have successfully used the Mount Soul Stone!)”

”(Your mount [Ancestral Return Strange Horse] has increased by 3 stars, reaching the 11-star Spirit Beast level, and has entered a Nirvana state for 24 hours.)”

Then, something surprising happened.

The Ancestral Return Strange Horse turned into a streak of light and flew into Bai Tian’s chest, disappearing.

It increased by 3 stars and reached the Spirit Beast level!

Bai Tian couldn’t help but laugh out loud, but his laughter soon trailed off.

He hadn’t even ridden the Ancestral Return Strange Horse yet. Before he could experience what it felt like to have a mount, it had entered Nirvana.

Bai Tian could only look forward to 24 hours later, when he would be able to ride this powerful Spirit Beast and gallop across this vast world.

With the mount matter settled, Bai Tian was just about to return to the city to put the butterfly orchid from his bag into the warehouse.

Suddenly, a golden system announcement appeared before his eyes.

—— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations to player [God Sky] for creating the guild [Above the Gods].)”

”(As the first player in the Da Xia Server Region to officially create a guild, [God Sky] is rewarded with Level +2, Luck +3, Reputation +400, and his guild level is increased by 1!)”

”(Will all online players please log off within 5 minutes. The game will soon shut down the servers to update the ’Disorderly Chapter’ content.)”

”(This update is expected to last 48 hours. Specific update details can be found on the official website...)”

This news was like a heavy bomb, causing a massive wave of excitement across the entire server.

God Sky, a heavenly king-level figure in the Great Xia Region’s online gaming world, had actually created the guild [Above the Gods] in just over a week.

His action directly caused the system to shut down for a version update. This was an unprecedented event!

Even Bai Tian couldn’t help but be amazed by God Sky.

Although he was a bit frustrated that he wouldn’t be able to enter the game for the next 48 hours, there was nothing he could do about it.

Watching the logout countdown on the system interface, Bai Tian returned to the city, stored the butterfly orchid in the warehouse, and logged out on the spot.

At this moment, the time was only 10:46 PM.

Since entering the game, Bai Tian had grown accustomed to fighting through the night. Now that he was offline, he felt a bit idle.

If his Close Friend were here, they could have gone out for barbecue, drank beer, and bragged together.

However, he remembered his Close Friend saying that tomorrow his parents were taking him abroad for skin graft surgery, and if all went well, he’d be back in three days.

Since he had nothing to do and couldn’t sleep, Bai Tian took a bottle of beer from the fridge, sat out on the balcony, and opened his phone while enjoying the cool breeze.

He checked the God Sky official website to see what new content this update would bring.

But the result was a great disappointment.

The [God Sky] official website was playing coy, providing only a few brief, general introductions without any detailed content.

This update’s content, [Disorderly Chapter]:

1. Opening of regional Level Rankings, Equipment Score Rankings, Mount Rankings, Pet Rankings, Guild Rankings, and Wealth Rankings.

2. Opening of map-wide mail function, regional teleportation wormholes, and the addition of day/night cycles, seasons, and changes in the twenty-four solar terms.

3. Opening of a time-limited server-wide danger map — [Nether Heaven Great Realm]. Entering provides 3x drop rates and experience, but carries a 3x penalty upon death.

4. ... Although the update content didn’t give detailed descriptions, Bai Tian could catch a glimpse of the new version’s charm and potential from these general outlines.

Especially that server-wide map, [Nether Heaven Great Realm]; it didn’t just offer rich rewards, it was a true server-wide battlefield.

There, he would have the chance to compete with players from the Great Xia Region as well as foreign players from other server regions.

The limited resources in the game would inevitably lead to infinite competition. This was going to be an exciting contest.
