A God-tier Counter-damage Priest, I am the Master!

95: There was a prehistoric giant fish?Jiangzhou International Airport was bustling with people. Bai Tian was anxiously waiting for his Close Friend, Liao Fan.

However, even after the last batch of passengers from the Air China flight had left, he still hadn’t seen that familiar figure.

In his confusion, just as he was about to take out his phone to call Liao Fan, a crisp snap of fingers suddenly sounded behind him.

Bai Tian turned his head and saw an elegant young man standing there, dressed fashionably, wearing a golden hat and gold-rimmed glasses, striking a handsome pose.

With a slight curl of his lips and a mischievous smile, he said, ”Young man, I guess you must be waiting for someone?”

Waitin’ for a guy who’s so handsome he’s practically fallin’ apart, a flashy fella just like me, right?”

Bai Tian’s eyes widened as he looked at this sudden young man in disbelief.

He stammered, ”Liao... Liao Fan, did you... did you get plastic surgery?”

Liao Fan took off his glasses, winked at Bai Tian, and said proudly, ”What plastic surgery? This is called ’minor adjustments’.”

”Bai Tian, I’m so disappointed in you. I intentionally walked past you three times just now, and you didn’t even recognize me.”

Bai Tian reached out, wanting to pinch Liao Fan’s face to see if it was a disguise mask.

As a result, Liao Fan cried out in pain, ”Ow, ow, ow... Take it easy, kid! I spent all 1.5 million you gave me on this face. Don’t you dare leave a blemish on my handsome face.”

Hearing those words, Bai Tian was finally certain that the flashy youth before him really was his Close Friend, Liao Fan.

This guy went abroad and actually came back with a different face.

Previously, although he was tall, his features were rugged, like a dark-faced Zhang Fei.

Now, he had transformed into a little fresh meat face—fair and tender, making one want to pinch it.

Bai Tian shook his head and said helplessly, ”Your taste is too low. If you were going to get surgery, you should have gone for a face like Daniel Wu. Why did you turn yourself into such a sissy little fresh meat? I truly despise you.”

Liao Fan got anxious. ”Pah! What little fresh meat? This is called being young, called being fresh and tender.”

”If my voice hadn’t stayed the same, you probably wouldn’t have recognized me at all.”

Bai Tian waved his hand. ”Fine, fine. Let’s go. I’ll take you out for a welcome-back meal.”

Though his appearance had changed, his personality hadn’t changed a bit. Liao Fan immediately turned into a foodie. ”How about a five-star hotel?”

”I haven’t experienced a five-star hotel in my life yet.”

Bai Tian smiled and shook his head. ”OK, I’ll satisfy you.”

Liao Fan quickly caught up with Bai Tian and habitually slung his arm over Bai Tian’s shoulder.

Bai Tian shook his hand off in disgust because Liao Fan’s current fair and tender little fresh meat face was truly more than he could take, fearing people might misunderstand them as being in a ’glass’ relationship.

”Hey, you kid, why are you turning your back on me now?” Liao Fan teased with a laugh.

”You have no idea, I almost didn’t make it back last night.”

”Last night, a celestial anomaly suddenly occurred, causing a plane crash. An azure haze dyed the sky...”

Liao Fan was eager to share his life-and-death encounter from yesterday.

Bai Tian rolled his eyes, clearly not believing him. ”A celestial anomaly? You’re talking like it’s a fantasy novel!”

Liao Fan said seriously, ”Really, something bizarre truly happened over the ocean yesterday. A celestial anomaly occurred, and our plane almost crashed into the sea.”

”You won’t believe it, but just as our flight was about to plunge into the ocean, I vaguely saw a hundred-meter-long azure giant creature flash past beneath the surface.”

”Bai Tian, a fish that big... it couldn’t be the legendary Kun, could it?”

Hearing this, Bai Tian was speechless. ”You didn’t just get plastic surgery, you must have had your brain operated on too.”

”A Kun? Keep dreaming.”

”Currently, the largest whales in the ocean don’t exceed 40 meters.”

”Stop pulling my leg.”

Seeing that Bai Tian didn’t believe him at all, Liao Fan became even more anxious and wanted to continue explaining, but Bai Tian didn’t want to hear it anymore.

Bai Tian hailed a taxi, pushed Liao Fan inside, and sat in the passenger seat himself.

Soon, they arrived at the nearest Shengkai International Five-Star Hotel.

Bai Tian asked for a small private room.

Although this was his first time spending money in such a high-end place, Bai Tian’s current net worth was a ’small goal’ (100 million), so eating a meal here was completely stress-free.

After entering the room, Bai Tian had the beautiful waitress hand the menu to Liao Fan so he could order for himself.

However, Liao Fan was still incessantly recounting the strange events on the plane, trying to make Bai Tian believe him, which left Bai Tian extremely speechless.

Thus, Bai Tian asked the waitress to turn on the screen-cast TV to watch the news.

Suddenly, a live broadcast on the international news channel caught Bai Tian’s attention.

”At 12:31 AM last night, in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, an oil tanker bound for the Free Nation encountered an unknown accident and lost all contact.”

”At 9:11 AM this morning, a search and rescue team from the Free Nation found the wreckage of the tanker in the Pacific...”

From the live footage, they saw an oil tanker that had been almost split in two. The hull was cracked open from the middle, as if it had suffered a violent impact from some indescribable force.

The scene inevitably brought to mind a horror movie. The tanker had been smashed into a gaping V-shape, as if torn apart by some massive creature.

What was even more shocking was that both sides of the impact site were covered in azure scales, with faint traces of blood visible.

This scene instantly reminded Liao Fan of the mysterious giant fish he had seen over the Pacific Ocean yesterday.

He stood up excitedly, his voice trembling as he said, ”Our flight had that accident right there in the Pacific yesterday. This tanker... it couldn’t have been smashed like this by that big fish I saw, right?”

The live news on TV continued to report: ”Through the unremitting efforts of the rescue team, a survivor has been found.”

Soon, the broadcast showed the rescue team carrying out a blood-covered Western man on a stretcher.

This person had a terrified expression, his face was pale, and he was making strange wailing noises.

The news translation showed that the rescued man was repeatedly shouting, ”Monster... a monster, there’s a monster...”

”Satan, it must be Satan who sent a monster to punish us for dumping toxic remains in the ocean. We are sinners...”

However, at that moment, the live news was suddenly forcibly interrupted.

Liao Fan turned to Bai Tian, his eyes filled with conviction. ”See! You kept thinking I was talking crazy, but I’m telling you now, I definitely didn’t see it wrong. A prehistoric giant fish really has appeared in the sea!”

He pointed at the TV screen and continued, ”That tanker must have been attacked by that azure giant fish.”

Bai Tian was also made a bit uneasy by this sudden news.

Could it be that in this world, a prehistoric giant fish of over a hundred meters really exists?

He tried to calm himself and said to Liao Fan, ”Let’s not talk about this anymore. After we finish eating and go back, I’ve prepared a top-tier luxury gaming capsule for you.”

He added, ”I’ve also prepared many little surprises for you in the game.”

Hearing this, Liao Fan’s eyes instantly lit up. ”A 300,000-credit top-tier gaming capsule?”

He excitedly grabbed Bai Tian’s hand. ”Day... Brother Day, Big Boss, please accept my bow!”

His excitement was beyond words.
