I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

109: Hunting! The Hound Team! The audience in the live stream was going wild over the sudden, earth-shattering reversal.

Just as they were eagerly anticipating a potentially epic showdown between the mysterious figure and the Lizardman,

the live broadcast screen began to violently and erratically bounce up and down, spinning. The camera only showed blurry tree shadows, muddy ground, and a dark sky flashing past.

”Bro! What are you doing?! Don’t run!”

”F*ck! The exciting part is here! Go back!”

”Damn it! Point the camera behind you! We want to see monsters fight!”

”Damn it! Cowards! Running away already?! All those gifts we sent were wasted!”

”It’s easy to talk when you’re not in their shoes! What if it were you there? You’re almost dead and still live streaming?!”

”Be understanding, it’s good enough they’re saving their lives! Run!”

The bullet comments were filled with anxiety, dissatisfaction, and urging, but also interspersed with some rational voices.

However, at this moment, how could John and Tom possibly care about live streaming effects or the audience’s feelings?

Extreme fear had completely dominated their minds and bodies.

Their only thought was to escape! To desperately escape!

To get away from that woodland filled with monster roars and the aura of death.

For them, their phones had transformed from tools for fame into unconscious ”lifelines” tightly clutched in their hands; they had even forgotten they could turn off the live stream.

The two supported each other, stumbling and scrambling through the Swamp, their lungs burning.

All they could hear was their own heavy breathing and heartbeats, and the distant, heart-pounding sounds of monsters confronting each other from behind.

In the center of the Swamp clearing, the atmosphere was as heavy as the calm before a storm.

The Lizardman’s entire body was tensed, its scales bristling slightly, emitting a rustling sound.

Its thick, barbed tail restlessly slammed against the muddy ground.

Producing dull ”thwack! thwack!” sounds, splashing murky water.

It opened its fanged maw and let out a series of low growls at the mysterious black figure in the tree, a mix of threat, warning, and a hint of imperceptible fear:

”Hiss-ga—!! Get out! This is my hunting ground! Get lost if you don’t want to die!”

However, facing the Lizardman’s blustering display, the tall figure in the shadows of the Ancient Cypress — the Iron Blood Warriors — appeared unusually calm, even with a condescending indifference.

Its head, adorned with a grotesque mask, tilted slightly, as if observing an interesting but essentially insignificant specimen.

The compound-eye-like sensors beneath the mask calmly scanned the Lizardman’s vital signs, muscle strength, shell density, and energy reactions.

In its assessment system, built upon countless dangerous creatures across the universe, this indigenous creature, though much stronger than an average human, had a rather limited threat level.

After all, they were bio-weapons created by Lin Zhi, an existence beyond rules, for more efficient harvesting.

Their genetic sequences were engraved with the instinct and experience of hunting more powerful and bizarre existences.

To them, a UMA of the Lizardman’s caliber was perhaps equivalent to... a relatively strong, acid-spitting alien wild boar?

It required serious attention, but was far from enough to make them feel nervous or afraid.

”Thump!”

A heavy thud!

The Iron Blood Warriors no longer concealed itself. It leaped down from the high branch, its nearly three-meter-tall, burly body crashing to the ground like a meteorite, splashing a large amount of mud.

It stood upright, towering over the Lizardman by nearly half a head!

Its mesh armor, a combination of biotechnology and unknown alloys, gleamed with a cold luster in the faint glow of the bonfire. The iconic plasma shoulder cannon on its shoulder had silently rotated, lifted, and locked onto its target!

Sensing the opponent’s undisguised hunting intent and the palpable, overwhelming aura of death.

The crimson light in the Lizardman’s pupils flickered violently, and it finally realized that verbal communication was futile!

The opponent was coming for it!

”Hiss-ahh-ahh! You asked for it!”

The Lizardman let out a desperate and furious roar, suppressing its instinctive urge to flee, and powerfully pushed off with its hind legs.

Wielding its sharp claws, it charged towards the Iron Blood Warriors, bringing with it aBlood Wind (foul wind).

The Iron Blood Warriors remained as steady as a rock as the Lizardman lunged.

It simply slowly raised its left arm, and the three gleaming, retractable alloy blades on its wrist shot out with a clang.

Its gaze, hidden beneath the mask, was coldly fixed on the Lizardman, as if assessing the quality of a sacrifice.

The hunt began.

And the ultimate purpose of this slaughter was not for food or territory, but to offer another... life-energy-filled sacrifice... to Lin Zhi, the great master who created and controlled their destiny in the unseen world.

Just as the inhuman slaughter between the Iron Blood Warriors and the Lizardman was about to unfold deep in the Swamp.

At the edge of the Swamp, three heavy military all-terrain vehicles, painted matte black and devoid of any markings, brutally crushed through bushes like ghosts in the dark night, stopping in a relatively dry clearing.

The doors opened, and three figures, completely enveloped in streamlined black titanium alloy power armor, agilely jumped out.

Their armor gleamed with a cold metallic luster in the moonlight, and faint hydraulic transmission sounds emanated from their joints.

They carried modular weapon systems on their backs. In addition to special alloy combat blades at their waists and arm-mounted non-lethal weapons, they also shouldered large-caliber electromagnetic rifles, with firepower capable of easily tearing through light tank armor.

This was the AEO’s rapid response team, a top-secret department in the United States specifically dedicated to handling supernatural and anomalous events.

Team Commander Carter Robles’s face was hidden behind the dark visor of her tactical helmet, but her voice, transmitted through the external speaker, was clear, calm, and carried a hint of feminine sharpness:

”Command, Hound Squad has arrived at the designated coordinates on the outskirts of Skepao Swamp. Accessing live stream feed and drone reconnaissance signals.”

She raised her hand and quickly operated her left arm’s tactical tablet. The screen immediately split to display John’s ongoing but wildly shaking live stream, thermal imaging and low-light night vision footage from the high-altitude stealth drone, and real-time comparison information from the department’s database.

Suddenly, a high-priority information pop-up, urgently pushed by the rear analysis center and accompanied by a relatively clear image (screenshot by a live stream viewer and technically enhanced), caught her attention.

The image showed the tall, humanoid silhouette standing on the Ancient Cypress branch, wearing a grotesque mask and mesh armor—the Iron Blood Warriors!

”Target confirmed!”

Carter’s voice instantly rose, filled with an uncontrollable excitement and sense of confirmation, ”It’s him! Codename Hunter! UMA-4001, he has finally reappeared!”

Her two team members — the tall assaulter codenamed ”Sena” and ”Robinson,” responsible for technical support and demolition — immediately leaned in to look.

”Commander, are you sure it’s the same... thing?” Sena’s voice, muffled through his face mask, sounded a bit heavy.

”No doubt!” Carter said decisively, zooming in on the image details with her finger.

”Look at the mask’s patterns, the outline of the shoulder weapon, and this... condescending posture, treating everything as prey! It’s identical to the one we encountered during the ’Crimson Forest’ incident!”

Her thoughts instantly returned to several months ago.

At that time, their squad was tasked with investigating a mass, mysterious death of wild beasts in a remote national park. The traces at the scene were extremely bizarre, certainly not caused by ordinary wild animals.

They first encountered this mysterious entity, internally codenamed ”Hunter,” there.

At the time, it was fiercely battling a group of UMA-2098, Corrosive Worms, similar to giant burrowing insects, that had crawled out of an underground fissure.

They witnessed firsthand ”Hunter” cleanly dispatching the dangerous UMA with overwhelming power and bizarre technological weapons.

And when Hunter finished its hunt and processed its spoils, it immediately detected the AEO squad lurking nearby.

At that time, Carter’s squad was at maximum tension, all weapons aimed.

However, the Hunter merely swept its cold mask over them. In its gaze... there was no hint of vigilance towards a threat, nor any intention of communication, only a nearly indifferent disregard, like looking at pebbles by the roadside.

Then, it activated some device, and its figure vanished into thin air amidst a distortion of light!

That encounter brought immense shock to the AEO high command.

The technological level, combat style, and behavioral logic displayed by this ”Hunter” completely exceeded their understanding of Earth creatures and even known extraterrestrial civilizations.

It seemed to be interested only in specific, dangerous UMAs and possessed incomprehensible stealth or teleportation technology.

AEO listed its file as a top-priority surveillance target, but it subsequently disappeared without a trace, until tonight!

”It seems this time, Hunter is targeting the Lizardman in the Swamp.”

Robinson analyzed, ”Based on live stream footage analysis, the Lizardman possesses high intelligence and aggressiveness, fitting Hunter’s hunting criteria.”

”Exactly!” A sharp glint flashed in Carter’s eyes.

”This is an excellent opportunity for us to re-establish contact with it, and even attempt to acquire its technological samples! We cannot miss it! Sena, Robinson, check your gear, switch to maximum alert level!”

”This time, we must capture him alive!”

”Understood, Commander!” Sena and Robinson responded in unison, immediately beginning to check their shoulder-mounted electromagnetic rifles and special capture equipment.

”Move out! Speed up! According to drone signals, Hunter and the target are confronting each other in the central area of the Swamp! We must get there before the battle ends!”

Carter waved her hand and led the way, her heavy power armor making dull ”clunking” sounds as it stepped through the mud...
