I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

103: Lizard people? !United States, South Carolina, Bishopville outskirts.

Night fell, and a thick fog, carrying the scent of decaying plants and damp earth, descended.

The surroundings were eerily silent, with only the occasional strange croaking of frogs and splashing sounds, adding to the sinister atmosphere.

”Hey, brothers! See that?! This is the legendary Skepao Swamp! The Lizardman’s home!”

Two swaying beams of light pierced the mist. Two young men, dressed in assault jackets, their faces a mix of tension and over-excitement, were trudging through the edge of the Swamp.

The one holding a phone and live-streaming was the slightly taller, loud-voiced Tom Sal.

Walking beside him, responsible for holding the powerful flashlight and portable action camera, was his roommate and adventure partner, John Bob.

”Families! Send gifts! Follow us so you don’t get lost! Tonight, our Truth Seekers team will take you to uncover the ultimate secret of the Lizardman!”

Tom’s spit flew as he spoke into the phone camera, his deliberately lowered voice trembling, whether from cold or excitement.

They were students from a nearby university, complete fanatics of unknown life forms.

In an era when the authorities were still desperately trying to cover up the truth, they had already frequented various dark web forums, browsing countless blurry yet terrifying biological sample trading posts and privately filmed videos of anomalous phenomena.

They firmly believed that this world was far more exciting and dangerous than what ordinary people saw.

And not long ago, the shocking news of the Japanese government publicly admitting the existence of supernatural events and gods, like a thunderclap, completely ignited their long-dormant fanaticism.

The code had been revealed!

The things they once could only discuss in the shadows, scorned by mainstream science, were actually real!

”Brothers! Even the Japanese have confirmed it, eight million gods, even Tokyo became a battlefield! What does this mean? It means our past exploration direction was completely correct!”

John aimed the camera at the eerie surroundings and added.

”And what we are looking for today is one of the most famous unsolved mysteries in North America—the Lizardman!”

They chose this place not blindly.

The Skepao Swamp has been the most concentrated area for Lizardman sighting reports, with the most consistent descriptions, since the late 1980s.

According to those dusty archives and eyewitness descriptions:

It was a half-human, half-Lizard monster, over 2 meters tall, covered in rough green scales, with glowing red eyes, only three fingers on each hand, possessing immense strength capable of overturning cars, and moving at a terrifying speed of up to 65 kilometers per hour.

The most famous sighting occurred on June 29, 1988, when a 17-year-old named Christopher Davis was attacked while changing a tire here, engaging in a thrilling struggle for the car door with the monster.

”Just imagine, brothers!”

Tom’s voice rose with excitement.

”As long as we can get a clear photo tonight, even a video! We can become famous overnight! There’ll be a million YouTube subscribers, TV interviews, all within reach! We will be the heroes who unveil the UMA in America!”

The popularity of the live stream was slowly rising, with bullet comments mixing encouragement, doubt, and playful teasing.

Gift effects flashed occasionally, stimulating their already taut nerves.

They knew the risks; some bloody and real clips of UMA attacking humans circulated on the dark web, and the tragedy in Tokyo, Japan, was a recent warning.

But the allure of fame and the extreme desire for ”truth” had overcome their fear of the unknown.

John adjusted the camera’s night vision mode and whispered to Tom:

”Stay alert, Tom. The data says this thing is very aggressive, and... very smart, good at using the Swamp environment to hide itself.”

Tom licked his dry lips, forcing himself to calm down:

”Don’t worry, we’ve prepared strong lights, stun guns... and a gun. As long as it dares to appear, we’ll show it the power of modern technology! Fortune favors the bold!”

The two encouraged each other and continued to grope their way deeper into the darker heart of the Swamp.

The flashlight beams swayed between the thick fog and the twisted tree shadows, as if they could illuminate something unspeakable at any moment.

The dead silence of the Swamp and the gradually warming enthusiasm of the live stream formed an eerie contrast.

Tom and John’s live stream title boldly read—

” [Bravest Live Stream Ever] Night Exploration of the Lizardman’s Lair! Live Broadcast of Life and Death in Skepao Swamp! The First American UMA Hunt After Japan’s Supernatural Event Confirmation!”

This highly provocative title, coupled with the global supernatural craze triggered by Japan’s recent declaration of gods, caused their live stream popularity to skyrocket like a rocket.

The number of online viewers quickly surpassed ten thousand from the initial few hundred and was still growing at an astonishing rate.

YouTube’s real-time bullet comments refreshed like a waterfall, almost drowning out the live broadcast screen.

”Fake! Absolutely fake! With AI special effects so advanced now, is it hard to make a monster model?”

”Trying to jump on the bandwagon again! Japan’s situation must be a huge lie by the government to divert attention from an economic crisis! These two streamers are also crazy for fame!”

”Exactly! Lizardman? I used to believe in the Tooth Fairy when I was a kid! Nothing to see here, it’s just a script again!”

”The guy upstairs knows nothing! How many live videos from Japan have leaked out? Can those be special effects? The government must have hidden a lot from us!”

”Awesome streamers! You really dare to go! If you actually film a Lizardman, I’ll directly gift ten supercars!”

”I can confirm! When I was a kid, I really saw a green, fast-moving figure in the cornfield behind my grandma’s house! It must have been the Lizardman!”

”Be careful! They say this thing is very strong and can tear off car doors!”

”Send gifts! Cheer on the streamers! Make sure to get a frontal shot!”

”I’ve already called the police! I hope they arrive in time to save these two who are asking for trouble...”

The bullet comments were filled with doubt, ridicule, encouragement, worry, and pure schadenfreude, with various opinions clashing fiercely and arguing endlessly.

Even more dazzling were the gift effects constantly exploding on the screen.

From small hearts to luxury yachts, various rewards poured in, accompanied by bullet comments exclaiming ”Rich boss is awesome,” pushing the atmosphere of the live stream to a climax...
