Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 548: I Just Did

After some back and forth, Allison finally managed to convince Xu Feng to agree to her condition.

The reason was simple.

Allison decided that aside from her teaching job, she would also help manage some of Xu Fengʼs tasks. Tasks regarding the Divine World.

ʼThat damn Ning Yi couldʼve told me about this,ʼ Xu Feng thought, nearly wanting to strangle him. Not only was Ning Yi entirely focused on Catherine, but heʼd also tried to act clever by sending a talented manager his way without any warning.

Allison being a professor was quite renowned to most, but it was more so for her managing skills and ability to multi-task while absorbing a ton of information.

Naturally, Xu Feng also understood that she was a very talented manager-type but still called her a noob because of one major flaw.

She was too difficult to deal with the longer you interact with her. Otherwise, Allison wouldnʼt have been constantly school hopping, jumping from one to another school to teach.

”Just how much did Yi tell you about me?” Xu Feng asked, his brows furrowed. At this moment, he began to realize that letting Ning Yi know a little bit too much was a big mistake.

”Oh, did he not tell you?” Surprised, Allison didnʼt expect Xu Feng to remain clueless. ”In a large roundabout sense, Iʼm technically Ning Yiʼs Aunt, albeit not older than him by much.”

”...”

This time, Xu Feng was really shocked internally. Allisonʼs information and background were always concealed deeply. Added to the fact that she rarely discussed her personal life, and Xu Feng not trying to pry on her, meant that he never knew about her family tree.

Thus, the information about her being somewhat related to Ning Yi was a complete surprise.

ʼNo wonder Yi told him quite a lot. It wasnʼt just because of Catherine, but because she was his senior in a blood-related manner.ʼ Xu Feng miscalculated terribly this time.

Now he wanted nothing more than to dig a hole to crawl into when he recalled his previous hooliganʼs act.

”Wait, so you knew Iʼm not the lewd type from the get-go?” He still decided to ask for confirmation.

Thankfully, Allison shook her head and answered honestly. ”Little Yi told me that you arenʼt it but I never believe word for word. I needed to personally verify them with my own eyes and hearing.”

In simplified terms, Allison was merely suspicious of Xu Fengʼs behavior and she became more positive when she noticed her emotion wasnʼt fluctuating any disgust or disdain.

A womanʼs intuition was often fiercely precise, and rarely wrong. Her intuition was that he wasnʼt the type she despised and she was right.

”So, shall we head to my place now?” Allison suggested. ”I really wanted to start experiencing the Divine World and comprehend the allure of it.”

”Sure, but donʼt call me a student anymore.” Xu Feng relented and demanded to not be addressed as a student. The word ”Student” made him look inferior in terms of status.

”Our age isnʼt that far apart in general, so I just call you Feng instead of Little Feng.” Allison smiled lightly and agreed to address him in another form.

Helpless, Xu Feng no longer cared anymore.

”You drove here or took public transportation?” Allison retrieved some money from her purse, placed it on the table, and asked softly.

”I had an AI drive me here.”

”Okay, good. Have your AI drive your car back to wherever you came from because Iʼm driving.”

With that said, Xu Feng ended up in the passengerʼs seat, with Allison taking the wheels on her fancy car.

”I was pretty sure the professorʼs salary was crap.” Xu Feng commented, his eyes glancing around the built-in interface of the car.

Allison smirked and nodded. ”Yes, itʼs crap but Iʼm born lucky and rich. Some might swear at how blessed my life is.”

Right after saying that, she stepped on the accelerator and went zooming. The car sped up insanely fast, and Allison thought Xu Feng might be in a near nauseous state.

However, to her surprise, she found him quite nonchalant.

”Oh, you can handle this kind of speed?” Allison chuckled. By now, she had already driven onto the highway and was going 90 mph(miles per hour).

”You can go faster if you can handle it.” Xu Feng calmly responded.

Did she really think he would start screaming and crying like a little girl at such a speed?

How ridiculous would that be?

Meanwhile, Allison was amused and started speeding up even further, driving specifically on the road that had no speed limit whatsoever.

100… 110… 120

As the speed meter continued to rise, Xu Feng laid back and enjoyed the speed.

Time quickly went by and Allison soon parked the car at a large mansion with a poolside backyard. Not to mention, the beautiful green scenery, followed by a great view of the city landscape made such a mansion highly sought after by the wealthy.

”A professor who is beautiful and rich. Life really knows how to benefit the wealthy and not the poor.” Xu Feng lightly commented, taking a jab at her.

”Yeah, life cherishes me a lot.” Allison gratefully accepted the compliment and had her pupils scan for authorization entry.

”Living alone here. Are you not afraid of getting robbed?”

”I am afraid, which is why I have such lovely machinery.”

A second later, the outskirts of the mansion underwent some changes, and numerous automated turrets appeared in session, with nearly all of them pointing at Xu Feng.

Since Xu Feng was adamant about not being her student, then she didnʼt need to be polite with him in terms of teasing or anything else.

She turned around and giggled at him. Her arms spread out as she asked teasingly ”Afraid now?”

Xu Feng was silent briefly, not because he was afraid, but was analyzing the defense structure from her.

”It looks good, but the actuality is not adequate.” He shook his head and responded.

”Then why donʼt you give it a try—”

Before Allison could even finish her words, she felt a sudden whooshing wind and found herself being held tightly around the waist from behind.

”I just did.” Xu Feng, who was clutching tightly to her waist, whispered softly. ”You should really be careful when inviting other people to your mansion.”
