Dream Capture: I Can See Through All Secrets!

92: 92. Establish a security companyAt eight in the evening, on the sixteenth floor of Guo Jin Building, was Tingfeng Capital.

The brand new logo at the entrance had only recently been put up, and there were still remnants of confetti in the corner that hadn’t been cleaned up.

The office area was already taking shape, with clean and bright workstations neatly arranged. Newly recruited employees were packing up, preparing to leave for the day. Today was the first official day of the company’s operation, and everyone had received a substantial red packet, making them all feel delighted.

“Manager Lin has already arranged a restaurant, inviting everyone to gather there.”

“They are all new colleagues, so team building to get to know each other is good.”

“Oh, who is that?”

Several employees were chatting when they suddenly saw a young man passing by in the corridor. He looked very young and out of place in the company environment, drawing their curiosity and whispers.

“He went to President Yu’s office. Could he be his son? He’s quite handsome.”

“Very likely. Chen Hao, let’s go. Let’s take a taxi to the restaurant together.”

Among the crowd, an intern named Chen Hao frowned. He felt that he had seen this young man somewhere before; he looked very familiar, but he couldn’t recall where at the moment... Lu Feng pushed open Yu Tianxiong’s office. The view here was excellent, overlooking a significant part of Jiangcheng.

On the desk was Lin Shaohui’s previously submitted office renovation settlement report, which Lu Feng curiously picked up to read.

A moment later, a knock sounded.

“Please come in.”

Yu Tianxiong pushed the door open, followed by Tian Peng.

Tian Peng had changed into a faded T-shirt and jeans, and his beard was cleanly shaved. Although the scar on his face was still noticeable, his mental state was completely different from when he was in the tin shack.

His eyes were as sharp as an eagle’s, and his posture was upright. Only when he saw Lu Feng sitting in the main seat did his gaze soften.

The last time he saw him was on a rainy night, with dim lighting, and Tian Peng already felt he was very young. Now, it seemed he was indeed too young, looking only around 20 years old.

Lu Feng closed the document and smiled, “We meet again. I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself last time. My name is Lu Feng.”

“Mr. Lu,” Tian Peng’s voice was steady and strong.

“Have a seat.”

Tian Peng slowly sat down, while Yu Tianxiong stood behind Lu Feng, also curiously observing the stranger before him.

Although he didn’t know where Mr. Lu found him, this person was clearly not simple; the aura of a seasoned veteran was impossible to hide.

Yu Tianxiong had hired bodyguards during his peak, but compared to this man, they were still lacking.

Lu Feng got straight to the point: “Tian Peng, since you’ve agreed, from now on, the independent security company under Tingfeng Capital will be entirely your responsibility to establish and operate. Old Yu will assist you in completing the registration and fund allocation.”

“Yes,” Tian Peng sat up straight.

“Tell me your thoughts.”

Tian Peng was clearly prepared and said in a deep voice, “Mr. Lu, the security industry is special; its core is people and trust. Recruiting outsiders is unreliable and untrustworthy, and cultivating our own people takes too long. I plan to... first contact a group of former comrades who have retired. Many of them are not doing well in their hometowns, but their skills, discipline, and loyalty are absolutely top-notch.”

“I plan to use them as the backbone and then gradually expand the team according to your needs.”

As he said this, he felt a little nervous and quietly observed Lu Feng’s expression.

Because this plan contained a bit of his personal intention to use this opportunity to help his former comrades, he just didn’t know if Lu Feng would be displeased by this approach.

Lu Feng pondered for a moment, then nodded, “Alright, I trust your judgment.”

This was precisely why he sought out Tian Peng. Professional skills could be cultivated, but the loyalty and discipline forged through life-and-death trials were difficult to buy with money, and he could also gain a group of retired soldiers.

It was a good thing.

“The benefits will be excellent: base salary, performance bonuses, hazard pay, and familyresettlement will all be implemented at double the highest industry standards. You and President Yu can finalize the specific plan.”

Lu Feng raised a finger, admonishing, “Lao Tian, I only have one request: quality over quantity. I want elite soldiers who can be absolutely trusted, not security guards just to make up the numbers.”

“Understood!”

A flicker of excitement flashed in Tian Peng’s eyes. The conditions Lu Feng offered far exceeded his expectations.

Such conditions were also enough for him to account for his comrades who were still struggling for a living.

“How long will staff recruitment and initial training take?”

“For the first batch of core personnel, give me two weeks. As for the training ground...” Tian Peng hesitated slightly.

Lu Feng looked at Yu Tianxiong and said, “You don’t need to worry about the venue, Old Yu. Look for a sufficiently large and secluded warehouse or old factory building near the university town or in the suburbs. Either buy it or long-term lease it, and convert it into a training base according to professional standards. The funds will come from the company.”

“Yes, Mr. Lu, I’ll take care of it immediately,” Yu Tianxiong responded.

Lu Feng stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the endless stream of cars below: “Tian Peng, your future tasks may not just be ordinary security. You might face some unfriendly tactics from business rivals, or even from abroad. You and your brothers need to be mentally prepared.”

Tian Peng also stood up, his tone resolute: “Mr. Lu, rest assured. My brothers and I are best at dealing with such unfriendliness. We will absolutely guarantee the completion of the mission and will not disappoint you.”

His eyes were sharp, as if he had returned to the smoke-filled battlefield.

For people like them, a peaceful life was a torment. Such challenging and dangerous missions could better ignite their fighting spirit and prove their worth.

Lu Feng turned around and smiled, “Good. A portion of the funds can be advanced to you for the resettlement of your comrades’ families and team startup. Discuss the details with President Yu. Get the framework set up as soon as possible; there might be tasks coming up soon.”

Tian Peng and Yu Tianxiong nodded simultaneously. Looking at the two standing ramrod straight, Lu Feng couldn’t help but smile.

Now having two great generals, one civil and one military, under his command, saved him a lot of worry.

“Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back. If anything comes up recently, we can communicate by phone. I’ve just started university, and I have military training in a few days, so I probably won’t have time to come over.”

Both of them felt a sense of displacement. He was clearly a big shot who could amass countless wealth with a wave of his hand, yet he spoke of starting university... and military training, which always made people surprised and hard to accept.

Tian Peng and Yu Tianxiong escorted Lu Feng out. The outer office area was already empty.

Just as they were heading to take the elevator, on the other side, Lin Shaohui had just rushed back to retrieve an urgent document.

After entering the office and placing the document in his briefcase, he walked out the door and saw Yu Tianxiong and a tall man respectfully escorting a young man towards the elevator in the distance.

Lin Shaohui, startled, adjusted his glasses and squinted, carefully scrutinizing the retreating figure. He instantly froze.

Wasn’t that clearly his wife’s student, Lu Feng?

His mind reeled: “Lu… Feng? It really is him! Why is he here? What’s President Yu’s relationship with him?”

Connecting it to his own work, Lu Feng’s recommendation, and the behind-the-scenes boss President Yu occasionally mentioned, an unbelievable conjecture formed in his mind, leaving him utterly shocked.

Lu Feng… was his boss’s… boss?

He even forgot to greet them, staring blankly as the elevator doors closed.
