Martial Arts, the Little Master of the Ancient Tomb, Becomes Stronger When You Drink

58: Chapter 58 Accepting a Disciple, Gongsun Lü’eSeeing Gongsun Lüe suddenly throw herself into his arms, her beautiful eyes glistening, Su Xuan was momentarily at a loss.

This girl wants to go back to the Ancient Tomb with them?

It wasn’t that Su Xuan hadn’t considered this, but...

Seeing Su Xuan hesitate and delay giving an answer, Gongsun Lüe thought he didn’t want to take her along, a flicker of disappointment passing through her beautiful eyes.

Li Mochou naturally noticed this change in mood and couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.

She stepped forward, ruffled Gongsun Lüe’s lovely hair, and looked up at Su Xuan. ”Little Xuan, why don’t we take Lüe back with us? She’s still so young...”

”Sister Li...” Hearing Li Mochou’s words, tears welled up in Gongsun Lüe’s beautiful eyes, a sight that tugged at the heartstrings.

For a moment, the gazes of both women were fixed on Su Xuan.

Meeting their pleading looks, Su Xuan couldn’t help but smile and shake his head. He pinched Gongsun Lüe’s smooth, tender cheek. ”Taking this girl along is fine. I’ve thought about it before.”

Hearing this, both women were delighted. Gongsun Lüe was so excited she jumped into Su Xuan’s arms. ”Big Brother, you’re the best~”

However, Su Xuan’s next sentence caused their excitement to falter slightly. ”But Mochou, you know how it is. Master has never liked outsiders...”

Seeing the visible droop return to Gongsun Lüe’s little face, Su Xuan couldn’t help but chuckle. He poked her forehead. ”You silly girl, can’t you wait for me to finish?”

Although his Precious Master disliked outsiders, it wasn’t that she couldn’t accept someone *he* brought back.

After all, he had already saved this girl. He couldn’t just abandon her now—that would make saving her pointless.

But the thought of taking Gongsun Lüe back just like that, without any clear arrangement, felt strange to Su Xuan.

Gongsun Lüe lifted her eyes in confusion, looking at Su Xuan with slight incomprehension.

Su Xuan paused, then said, ”I was thinking about who would be best for this girl to take as her Master.”

”Take a Master?” Li Mochou murmured, then her beautiful eyes suddenly lit up. ”Right! How did I not think of that?! The Grandmaster doesn’t like outsiders, but we could have Lüe become a Disciple of our Ancient Tomb Sect!”

This way, they could avoid the awkwardness of Gongsun Lüe being an outsider in the Ancient Tomb and also help her gradually integrate into life there.

Little Xuan is so clever!

Su Xuan nodded. ”Right, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Mochou, who do you think would be the best Master for her?”

Li Mochou tapped her chin, pondering. ”The Grandmaster definitely won’t take on any more Disciples. Master is also completely focused on you all day, with no mind for anything else...”

”Hmm...” Li Mochou thought for a moment longer, then her eyes suddenly brightened again. ”Got it! Little Xuan, how about having Lüe take *you* as her Master!”

”Me?” Su Xuan was somewhat surprised.

”Yes! You! You’re the one who drinks all day, practices the least, and yet breaks through the fastest. Who else could it be but you?” Li Mochou shot Su Xuan a glance and secretly poked Gongsun Lüe’s back with her delicate hand.

Gongsun Lüe, who was still in a daze, snapped back to reality. Seeing Li Mochou’s insistent, hinting gaze, she instantly understood.

She hurriedly jumped down from Su Xuan, knelt before him with a *thump*, and pleaded, ”Big Brother, please accept Eer as your Disciple!”

Without waiting for Su Xuan to recover from his surprise, Gongsun Lüe kowtowed with a *thud*, her forehead hitting the ground.

By the time Su Xuan reacted, it was already too late. He stared blankly at the scene. ”This...”

Li Mochou urged from the side, ”Little Xuan, Lüe has already kowtowed. Aren’t you going to accept her as your Disciple?”

Su Xuan glanced at Li Mochou, then at Gongsun Lüe with her head pressed to the ground, and couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and exasperation.

Long’er was still young, just the right age for Cultivating.

So, Su Xuan had originally been considering whether Mochou should take the Disciple, or perhaps his mother.

He never imagined that after going around in circles, the responsibility would end up landing on him.

He was only eighteen!

Looking at Gongsun Lüe still kowtowing on the ground, Su Xuan shook his head helplessly. He stepped forward and took her arm. ”You little girl, why are you so quick to kowtow? Get up right now!”

Pulled up by him, Gongsun Lüe straightened her upper body, but her knees remained firmly planted on the ground. Her small face was filled with determination. ”If Big Brother doesn’t accept Eer, Eer won’t get up!”

”Hey! You little rascal! You dare threaten me?” Su Xuan’s eyebrow twitched. He then deliberately turned his back to her, pretending to be angry. ”Fine, kneel there then. I won’t accept you as my Disciple either!”

”Huh?” Gongsun Lüe was slightly stunned, not quite processing his words.

A delighted smile appeared in Li Mochou’s eyes beside them. She stepped forward, helped Gongsun Lüe up, and ’scolded’ her, ”Hurry up and get up. Your Master is already angry!”

Only then did Gongsun Lüe come to her senses. Her pretty face instantly lit up with joy. She rose from the ground and excitedly bowed repeatedly. ”Lüe pays her respects to Master!”

Su Xuan waved his hand with feigned impatience. ”None of that. I don’t like formalities.”

He then turned back, looking somewhat serious as he faced Gongsun Lüe. ”Let’s be clear first. Being my Disciple isn’t that simple...”

Before Su Xuan could finish, Gongsun Lüe answered with a happy face, ”Master, rest assured. From now on, Eer is your horse. If Master says go east, Eer will never go west!”

After saying this, as if it wasn’t enough, Gongsun Lüe patted her not-yet-developed chest and promised, ”Eer will also take care of all Master’s daily needs—food, clothing, shelter, everything! I’ll make sure Master lives as happily as an immortal!”

Being able to become Su Xuan’s Disciple made Gongsun Lüe too excited. She chattered on and on.

Su Xuan was completely dumbfounded by her words. His expression turned odd. What she said sounded fine, but why did it feel so strange?

Noticing the situation, Su Xuan snapped back to attention slightly. He cleared his throat twice and put on a serious face. ”Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do anyway?”

Seeing Gongsun Lüe still staring at him with bright, shining eyes, a smile on her lips.

Su Xuan felt he should establish a bit of a Master’smajesty (authority/dignity). Otherwise, what if she turned into a Rebellious Disciple later?

He immediately furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice, ”What’s with that grinning face? Is that any way to behave?”

Hearing this, the smile instantly vanished from Gongsun Lüe’s lips. She opened her eyes wide and looked at Su Xuan seriously.

This was Su Xuan’s first time being a Master, and he felt somewhat awkward. But he forced himself to maintain a stern expression. ”I’ll add another rule. From now on, you are not allowed to interrupt when your Master is speaking, or you’ll face family discipline!”

”As for what family discipline is... your Sister Li knows best. You can ask her yourself.”

Li Mochou’s pretty face flushed red.

Of course she knew best. In the Ancient Tomb, she was the only one who received Su Xuan’s ’family discipline’ every day, and she had been receiving it for over a decade. How could she not know?

Gongsun Lüe looked at Li Mochou in confusion and asked timidly, ”Sister Li, what is the family discipline Master mentioned?”

Gongsun Lüe felt that since Big Brother had become her Master, he had become so fierce! And the change happened so fast!

Asked by Gongsun Lüe, Li Mochou became even more embarrassed. She glared fiercely at Su Xuan. ”Don’t listen to your Master’s nonsense. There’s no such thing as family discipline! He’s just trying to scare you!”

”Oh, okay...”
