Martial Arts, the Little Master of the Ancient Tomb, Becomes Stronger When You Drink

39: Chapter 39 To Tell or Not to Tell?!Seeing Su Xuan’s expression, the quick-witted Huang Rong immediately saw through his thoughts. ”A Xuan, you must not be impulsive!”

Su Xuan smiled and shook his head, gently patting Huang Rong’s shoulder. ”Don’t worry, your husband never does anything he’s not certain of.”

Sigh~ My wife is too smart; she can guess everything I’m thinking.

Dragon is still better—silly and easy to fool.

Speaking of which, I’ve been out for so long that I really miss home a bit.

Seeing that Su Xuan wasn’t listening to her, Huang Rong explained anxiously,

”Lü Wende is an official of the imperial court. Killing him will get you wanted by the government!”

”Moreover, this Lü Wende has always been greedy for life and afraid of death. His residence is heavily guarded by troops, and many experts of the Martial Forest are hidden inside...”

”A Xuan, you...”

Huang Rong knew her young husband too well; once he said something, he would absolutely not change his mind.

Huang Rong was extremely anxious.

Why did that bastard Lu Youjiao have to say that in front of A Xuan!?

Doesn’t he know that a possessive man is the most terrifying?

Just as Huang Rong was trying hard to think of how to persuade Su Xuan,

some faint conversation suddenly came from outside the door.

A Mongol accent?!

Su Xuan pulled Huang Rong along, approaching the door without a sound, and leaned in to listen to the conversation outside.

”Junior Brother, we’ve been hiding for so long. When are we going to kill Lü Wende?”

”Shh, Senior Brother, lower your voice. I’ve already scouted the news. Tonight, Lü Wende will go to the Drunken Fragrance Pavilion for entertainment. There definitely won’t be many guards by his side. It’s the perfect time to strike!”

”Good, then we strike tonight. Once we’ve killed Lü Wende, we’ll go and kill Huang Rong and that white-clad dog of a thief to appease Master’s soul in heaven!”

”Shh, Senior Brother, keep it down! What if someone discovers us?!”

”Oh, oh.”

”Senior Brother, follow me. Let’s find a secluded spot...”

The footsteps gradually faded until they disappeared.

Su Xuan already had an idea of the two’s identities.

Kukon the National Teacher’s disciples, Huo Du and Darba.

Beside him, Huang Rong’s eyes suddenly lit up. ”A Xuan, I have a plan!”

”We can find out the location of the hidden treasure room, kill Lü Wende, and in the end, we won’t even have to take the blame...”

...

Night fell.

A carriage drove out from Lü Wende’s residence.

The carriage was guarded by two squads of soldiers armed to the teeth.

The group slowly headed toward the Drunken Fragrance Pavilion.

Hiding in the shadows, Huo Du and Darba quickly followed.

Fifteen minutes later, the carriage arrived in front of the Drunken Fragrance Pavilion.

A thin, wretched-looking middle-aged man stepped out of the carriage.

Led by the madam, they arrived at a Private Room on the third floor.

The entire third floor was closed off, with only this one luxurious Private Room.

It was specially commissioned by Lü Wende for the Drunken Fragrance Pavilion to build for his safety.

After bringing Lü Wende to the place, the madam left.

The soldiers stood guard at the door of the Private Room with great familiarity.

It seemed they had been here many times.

*Creak—*

Opening the door and entering the room, Lü Wende closed it behind him.

Immediately, a greasy and wretched expression appeared on his face as he rubbed his hands and walked toward the bed.

”Hehehe, Little Green, a maids name, your Master has come to see you...”

Before he could finish his sentence, Lü Wende’s vision went dark, and he collapsed to the ground.

Su Xuan and Huang Rong stepped out from behind Lü Wende.

Looking at Lü Wende’s face, Su Xuan couldn’t help but shake his head. ”Sunken cheeks and a pointed chin—his life is nearing its end~”

Huang Rong smiled. ”A Xuan, let’s ask quickly! We need to find out before Huo Du and the others arrive.”

”Alright!”

Su Xuan first tied Lü Wende up and stuffed a rag into his mouth.

Then, he picked up the wine flask on the table and poured it over Lü Wende’s face.

As the cold wine splashed onto his face, Lü Wende woke up instantly. Seeing the scene before him, he wanted to scream but could only make ’wuwu’ sounds.

Seeing Lü Wende wake up, Su Xuan sneered, ”Since you’re awake, let’s talk! Where is the secret room where you hide your treasures?”

Lü Wende: ”Wuwu”

”Fine, fine, fine, you won’t talk, right?” Su Xuan reached out and pulled a small whip from the table into his hand.

*Snap*

The whip lashed across Lü Wende’s face.

Instantly, the skin split open, and a gruesome bloody welt appeared.

Lü Wende’s forehead was covered in cold sweat from the pain, and his eyes nearly bulged out of his head.

”Wuwu”

”Still not talking?!” Su Xuan lashed him again with the whip.

*Snap*

Lü Wende: ”Wuwu”

”Will you speak or not?!”

Lü Wende: ”Wuwu”

”Will you speak or not?!”

Lü Wende: ”Wuwu”

Before long, Lü Wende no longer looked human.

His body was covered in bloody welts, and he looked as if he were about to be beaten to death.

Su Xuan’s eyes widened. ”Still not talking?! Fine, fine, fine!”

Su Xuan raised his hand and whipped Lü Wende hard between the legs.

*Snap—*

Flesh split and blood splattered. Lü Wende could no longer bear it and fainted.

Huang Rong found it frightening to watch and gently pulled Su Xuan’s sleeve. ”A Xuan, you seem to have his mouth blocked.”

Su Xuan turned his head and grinned. ”I know!”

Su Xuan calculated the time in his head; it was about time. If he didn’t ask now, it would be too late.

He then picked up the wine flask again and poured it over Lü Wende’s body.

*Sizzle*

”Wuwu!” As the wine soaked into his wounds, Lü Wende was instantly jolted awake by the pain.

Seeing this, Su Xuan wasted no more time. He tossed the wine gourd aside and looked coldly at Lü Wende.

”I’m going to take the rag out now. I’ll ask a question, and you’ll answer. If you dare say one wrong word, I will make you wish you were dead!”

”Wuwu,” Lü Wende nodded repeatedly, the terror in his pupils nearly overflowing.

In Lü Wende’s eyes now, Su Xuan was simply more terrifying than a demon.

Only then did Su Xuan remove the rag.

Once the rag was removed, Lü Wende repeatedly begged for mercy, ”Young hero, spare my life! This lowly one has elderly parents and young children. I don’t know how I’ve offended you...”

”Shut up! I ask, you answer. For every extra word you say, I’ll break one of your fingers!”

Lü Wende’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly shut his mouth, his body trembling uncontrollably.

”Where is that secret treasure room of yours?”

”In... in a manor ten miles south of the city. There’s a secret room in the manor’s study. It’s right there...”

”Is that true?”

”It’s absolutely true! Young hero!” Lü Wende was so scared he was crying; if his ’parts’ weren’t gone, he would have been crying from down there too.

Huang Rong said from the side, ”A Xuan, there is indeed a manor ten miles south of the city.”

Lü Wende then remembered there was someone else there, and it was Huang Rong, whom he usually desired most. But now, how could he possibly have such thoughts?

”Yes, yes! Gang Leader Huang knows it too! This lowly one would never dare to tell a single lie!”

Huang Rong calculated the time and reminded him, ”A Xuan, time is almost up. We should go!”

When Huang Rong said this, a spark of hope for survival ignited in Lü Wende’s heart.

But he didn’t expect Huang Rong’s next sentence, which nearly scared the gall out of him: ”A Xuan, kill him.”

”Alright.” Su Xuan nodded.

Then, before Lü Wende could recover his senses, another whip lash fell, directly snapping Lü Wende’s neck.

After Lü Wende died, Su Xuan and Huang Rong jumped out of the window and left.

Shortly after the two left, Huo Du and the others arrived.

As they walked upstairs, Darba complained, ”Damn it, Junior Brother, why did you stop me? Those beggars just now almost stripped your pants off!”

Huo Du frowned. ”We’re here to kill Lü Wende; we can’t let side issues interfere... wait...”

Darba: ”What’s wrong?”

”Look!!”

Darba looked up and saw the soldiers at the door of the Private Room lying scattered on the ground.

A bad premonition rose in Huo Du’s heart, and he quickly ran into the Private Room.

As soon as he stepped into the room, he saw Lü Wende’s gruesome corpse.

Huo Du instantly realized, ”Oh no, we’ve been framed!!”

Right at that moment, a large number of soldiers swarmed onto the third floor and happened to see this scene.

”Lord Lü has been murdered! Catch these two assassins!!”
