Martial Arts, the Little Master of the Ancient Tomb, Becomes Stronger When You Drink

11: Chapter 11 Wang Chongyang’s Wild Ideas”You finally agreed to see me.” Wang Chongyang’s gaze fell upon Lin Chaoying, a faint smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

Lin Chaoying’s delicate brows furrowed slightly. For some reason, the moment she saw Wang Chongyang, an involuntary sense of revulsion welled up in her heart.

”Wang Chongyang, this Sect Head has long declared that no member of your Quanzhen Sect shall ever set foot within the borders of my Ancient Tomb Sect. What, have you taken my words as mere wind passing by your ears?!”

Lin Chaoying’s tone grew increasingly icy. By the end of her sentence, the surrounding air seemed on the verge of crystallizing into frost.

Wang Chongyang, however, just shook his head with a smile, saying without a care, ”I abdicated from the position of Sect Head of the Quanzhen Sect long ago. Now I am but a mere wanderer. How can I be considered a member of the Quanzhen Sect?”

Lin Chaoying’s expression darkened. She truly hadn’t expected Wang Chongyang to be shameless to this extent.

Looking at Lin Chaoying not far away, who hadn’t changed much in the eight years, Wang Chongyang couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

”Eight years apart, and she remains as youthful and beautiful as ever, while I have aged into this wretched state.”

Wang Chongyang was originally over ten years older than Lin Chaoying. Combined with the hidden injuries left untreated from his earlier resistance against the Jin, he had indeed aged considerably.

Compared to Lin Chaoying’s youthful radiance, the present Wang Chongyang resembled a decrepit old man.

Yet, it was precisely because of this that Wang Chongyang was all the more eager to see Lin Chaoying.

He did not wish to leave any regrets behind before departing this world.

”This humble Daoist has come for no other reason than to spar. Sect Leader Lin has avoided this humble Daoist for eight years. Surely, this time you will not hide?”

Wang Chongyang was well aware of Lin Chaoying’s proud nature. As long as he could spar with her without defeat, he was confident.

In the future, Lin Chaoying would certainly seek another match with him.

Continuing like this, Wang Chongyang had faith that he could once again win over Lin Chaoying’s heart.

Sure enough, upon hearing Wang Chongyang’s words, a flicker of anger ignited in Lin Chaoying’s beautiful eyes.

Just as Wang Chongyang thought things would proceed as he envisioned...

Su Xuan suddenly stepped out from beside Lin Chaoying, his words directly disrupting Wang Chongyang’s plan.

”Seriously, have you no shame?”

Wang Chongyang’s expression froze. Only then did he shift his gaze to Su Xuan, asking somewhat puzzled, ”Young brother, what do you mean by that? Where has this humble Daoist shown a lack of shame?”

The anger that had just risen in Lin Chaoying instantly subsided. She had almost forgotten that her little disciple had a plan.

Her clever little disciple would never let her suffer a loss.

Su Xuan took a step forward, looking Wang Chongyang up and down, a timely expression of disdain appearing on his young face.

”Look at your age! White-haired, stooped, one foot already in the grave, right? My Master is in the prime of her youth, radiant and beautiful. Where do you get the nerve to challenge my Master?”

His aged appearance was Wang Chongyang’s sore spot. Now exposed by Su Xuan, Wang Chongyang’s face darkened.

Su Xuan, however, paid no heed to Wang Chongyang’s reaction and continued, ”Bullying the young, disrespectful in your old age—as a Daoist devoted to quiet cultivation, you spend your days blocking the entrance of a young lady like my Master. And you still have the nerve?”

”This humble Daoist...” Wang Chongyang wanted to steer the topic away, but Su Xuan gave him no chance.

”You what? Looking like that, you still dare call yourself the foremost of the Five Supremes, a righteous warrior who resisted the Jin? Pah!”

”If I were you, I’d have long buried myself in the ’Five Grains Reincarnation Chamber’ and faded into obscurity, saving everyone the embarrassment of seeing you here!”

Su Xuan didn’t care what kind of person Wang Chongyang was.

Su Xuan only knew that in this world, there are no inherently good or bad people, only differing standpoints.

Setting aside Su Xuan’s plans, for eight years, Wang Chongyang had persistently come to the entrance of the Ancient Tomb, harassing his Precious Master.

If he weren’t still no match for him, Su Xuan felt that merely cursing him out was far too lenient.

Being humiliated like this by a junior in front of Lin Chaoying, Wang Chongyang’s face turned extremely ugly.

”Pfft~”

Seeing Wang Chongyang in such an awkward state, Lin Chaoying couldn’t hold back and nearly laughed aloud.

Afraid of affecting her little disciple’s plan, she quickly covered her mouth, forcibly suppressing her mirth.

Wang Chongyang, already furious to the extreme, further agonized by the laughter of the woman he admired, could bear it no longer and roared, ”Silence!!”

A powerful surge of energy erupted from within Wang Chongyang.

Seeing this, Lin Chaoying swiftly pulled Su Xuan and Little Dragon Girl into her embrace, simultaneously unleashing an Aura no weaker than Wang Chongyang’s, and shouted, ”Wang Chongyang, how dare you?!”

Hearing Lin Chaoying’s voice, Wang Chongyang suddenly snapped back to his senses, his Aura diminishing abruptly.

”Thud”

Caught off guard, he was sent flying several meters by Lin Chaoying’s Aura.

A trickle of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.

Lin Chaoying had not held back in the slightest.

Wang Chongyang paid no mind to his injury, inwardly mocking himself.

He had cultivated his mind and nature for decades, yet today he had been provoked to such a state by a wretched child.

It was truly the greatest joke under heaven.

Had he truly grown old?

Seeing the situation, Su Xuan felt it was about time and spoke up, ”If you wish to spar with my Master, it’s not entirely impossible... unless...”

Wang Chongyang raised his head slightly. ”Unless what?”

”Unless your disciple can defeat my Master’s disciple.”

”Who is your Master’s disciple?”

”Are you stupid? My Master’s disciple is obviously me!” Su Xuan looked at Wang Chongyang as if he were an idiot.

Great, he’d angered one into stupidity.

Lin Chaoying and Little Dragon Girl struggled to contain their laughter.

”You...” Wang Chongyang forcibly suppressed his rage. Don’t get angry! Don’t get angry!

He’s just a child. A child’s words carry no harm! No harm!

Suddenly remembering something, a glint of light flashed in Wang Chongyang’s eyes.

This little brat wanted to compete with *his* disciple?

The kid looked to be at most just over ten years old!

No matter how talented, how high could his martial arts possibly be?

His disciples were all middle-aged, having lived for decades!

At the very worst, they shouldn’t lose to this little brat before him, right?

Could it be...

Wang Chongyang’s heart surged with wild joy.

No wonder, no wonder Chaoying had agreed to see him.

It seemed that over these eight years, Chaoying had finally been moved by his persistent heart!

Yet, due to her own pride, she deliberately found an excuse before accepting him...

As for the insults the little brat had hurled at him earlier, they must have been taught by Chaoying to vent her grievances over the years.

Otherwise, why would he insult him for no reason?

It must be so!

Thinking this way, Chaoying’s earlier ’laughter’ was also because she thought him too dull to grasp the underlying meaning!

He understood! He got it! He comprehended everything now!

In an instant, Wang Chongyang’s gaze towards Su Xuan also turned kindly.

How could he have spoken to him like that just now?

Little Brother Disciple, your Grandmaster was wrong! Hope you don’t mind too much! In the future, Grandmaster will teach you all his martial arts!

While Wang Chongyang had come to a realization, Su Xuan was startled.

He retreated two steps in succession, a sudden tension seizing him.

What the heck? What kind of look is that?

Old man, I’m insulting you! Don’t be so creepy, okay?
