The Calamity Beast is Strong? I Just Filled in the Stats Randomly!

6: Chapter 6 If Heaven hadn’t given birth to our Heavenly Emperor! Eh?”This is the recording of the battle.”

Inside the Dongcheng City Special Affairs Bureau branch, the battle footage Lu Li had just uploaded was being projected onto a large screen in front of a long conference table.

In just a dozen seconds, a B-Class Calamity Beast’s brain had been splattered, and even its core had been snatched away.

Sitting at the head of the table, Wei Heng of the Special Affairs Bureau branch looked at everyone and lightly tapped the table.

”What do you all think?”

From the side of the long table, someone raised their hand to signal.

”Chief, do we have any data on this Ability User?”

”No,” Wei Heng shook his head. ”We only have these dozen or so seconds of footage, and it was passively recorded by the Spiritual Energy Armor. Other than that, we know nothing about this Ability User.”

”Xiao Xu, is the combat assessment out?”

”What Rank is this unknown Ability User, approximately?”

”It... it’s out.” A delicate-looking woman wearing black square-framed glasses held a tablet, looking at the parameters sent back.

”The video is too short, but judging solely by his physical strength, it has reached...”

”How much?”

”B-Class, Building-Crushing level.” Xiao Xu swallowed hard.

”According to the magnitude he displayed, that final punch had the power of at least fifty tons of TNT exploding.”

”That one punch is enough to shatter a ten-story building.”

”B-Class?” Wei Heng nodded; it was close to what he had estimated.

While Ability Users of this Rank weren’t numerous in Dongcheng City, they weren’t rare either.

For example, Lu Li was a standard B-Class Ability User.

At that moment, Xiao Xu hesitated to speak...

”But...”

”But what?”

”But this should be impossible.” Xiao Xu looked at the scrolling parameters on the tablet in disbelief.

”The Cleaners have already arrived at the scene to investigate. Aside from the psionic fluctuations of that Calamity Beast and the psionic fluctuations of Jiang Qin, the candidate for the Seventh Squad, there were no abnormal energy fluctuations at the scene.”

”This means...”

”Was that punch purely his physical strength?” Hearing this result, Wei Heng also felt it was somewhat absurd.

A single punch of pure physical strength delivering the equivalent of fifty tons of TNT—even that Upper A-Class, City-Breaker Level giant Calamity Beast that appeared before was only at that level.

The price the Special Affairs Bureau paid to face that Calamity Beast back then could not be described as anything but tragic.

How could a human’s physical strength possibly rival a Calamity Beast?

”Could it be an Enhancement-type Ability User?” Wei Heng added.

”No,” Xiao Xu shook her head.

”The detection equipment carried by the Cleaners has always been our most advanced ability scanner.”

”Since the scanner’s inception, it has gone through thirteen iterations.”

”Even the aura of a mutant ant can be captured.”

”Although Enhancement-type Ability Users strengthen themselves, that is still the effect of an ability.”

”It’s impossible for there to be no aura at all.”

”Unless...”

”Unless what?”

”Unless that Ability User is a Super S-Class powerhouse, just like the one in the Imperial Capital... this power is...”

”Alright, I understand.” Wei Heng waved his hand and looked to the side. ”Xiao Zhang, is there any more surveillance from that area?”

Though he knew the chances were slim, Wei Heng still asked.

”No,” Xiao Zhang said helplessly.

”As you know, Chief, when an otherworldly crevice appears, it violently interferes with nearby electronic signals.”

”Although we’ve done our best to maintain the operation of specialized communication equipment, we’re still unable to overhaul the surveillance network of the entire urban area.”

”Up until now, most Battle Recordings still rely on Spiritual Energy Armor and the ultra-high-precision cameras running independently on mechas.”

”Fine, I get it.”

Wei Heng massaged his head vigorously. Having such a superhuman appear in his jurisdiction wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

Even if this superhuman posed no threat.

An unknown factor was still a problem.

Although this superhuman seemed to be at least in the Chaotic Good camp.

But only by establishing a friendly connection can one truly be at ease. Unless, he was just passing through.

”Everyone, pay attention. If this Ability User appears again, we must establish contact immediately. Alright, meeting adjourned.”

With a wave of his hand, Wei Heng prepared to dismiss this emergency meeting.

But then, someone else raised their hand.

”Chief, there’s one more thing.”

”What is it?”

”Should the core from that B-Class Calamity Beast still be handed over?” the person asked cautiously.

”That Ability User didn’t take it?” Wei Heng asked, surprised.

The battle footage only showed up until Fang Xun pulled out the core.

After the Calamity Beast’s aura vanished, the recording ended.

”No, Captain Lu said that man gave the core to that Jiang Qin.”

”Is that so?” Hearing this, Wei Heng’s mood lightened a bit. It seemed the situation was better than he had imagined—at least the person was in the Neutral Good camp.

”Did that person leave any words?”

”He finally said... ’Junior, this is your Opportunity. If fate permits, we shall meet again.’” The person repeated the words exactly as they were said.

”Mhm.” Wei Heng nodded.

”Then let her have it.”

”While a B-Class Calamity Beast core is precious, the goodwill of that unknown Ability User is also very important.”

”Keep a close eye on Jiang Qin’s life and give her appropriate preferential treatment.”

”Extra points for the college entrance exam?”

”Add ten points and give her priority admission.”

”Yes, sir.”

...

...

Leaving aside the fact that Jiang Qin still followed Lu Li out of the city for testing, Fang Xun had now returned home after taking a long detour.

After learning that Jiang Qin was a ’Magical Girl,’ Fang Xun felt relieved.

Students who qualified as ’Magical Girls’ after the physical exam mostly had to go outside the city for preliminary trials; this was almost a default regulation.

Busy bodies would even head over with binoculars to watch from afar, and some would even livestream it.

Aside from the bizarre livestream angles of these busybodies, there were even official livestreams from the Special Affairs Bureau.

After all, this was an excellent promotional tool and an important channel for increasing public affinity and cohesion.

Since that was the case, Fang Xun was even less inclined to leave the house.

He just casually flipped through the channels on his TV and quickly found the official livestream room for the Dongcheng City Special Affairs Bureau branch.

In the bullet chat right now, people were still discussing the accident that had just happened.

However, it seemed there was more than one trial location.

But clearly, Jiang Qin was not in any of those venues.

After flipping through several different official camera angles, Fang Xun finally spotted Jiang Qin’s trace in one of the venues.

Captain Lu Li flew into the field from a distance, bringing an emerald-colored girl with her.

Good, this is the one.

Seeing Lu Li return with someone, the bullet chat immediately became active.

「Wow, is this another new Psionic Armor Adept? She’s so pretty! I want to lick the screen.」

「Shut up!」

「Protect, protect, protect.」

「Go away, all of you! The beautiful girl is mine!!!」

...

Fang Xun glanced at it a few times and turned off the moronic bullet chat.

Why were there so many ’retards’ in this parallel world too?

Fang Xun looked at his sister a few more times, but the fixed angle of this camera wasn’t particularly good.

Aside from seeing Jiang Qin’s silhouette, her appearance couldn’t be clearly seen.

He didn’t know what those people were so obsessed with when they hadn’t even seen her face.

Casually putting down the remote, Fang Xun set aside the mask he had long since taken off.

Fang Xun clenched his fist, and it felt as if a powerful force was erupting in his palm.

This was his power; he truly held it.

On the panel, the number 999,999,999 following ’Strength’ was incredibly solid.

”Ha, haha, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!”

”Jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie jie!!!!!!!!!!!”

Wild laughter finally issued from Fang Xun’s mouth without restraint.

Fang Xun looked at the image on the TV and raised his hand before his eyes.

”If the Heavens didn’t give birth to me, Emperor Fang, then this eternal otherworld would be like a long night!”

With that, Fang Xun slammed his fist down hard onto a small dumbbell on the sofa—it was one of the props for his cultivation.

”Thirteen thousand, six hundred and seventy-eight.”

”Break!”

*Crack*...

”Eh?”
