Teaming Up with My Enemy to Rule the Apocalypse

Felix Foley had never considered himself a good person.

But hearing Autumn Lynch’s words still shocked him for a moment.

’This woman, Autumn Lynch, seems so gentle and frail on the surface. Who would have thought her heart could be so vicious!’

’She’s spouting such malicious words, yet she’s still wearing that completely harmless smile.’

For a moment, Felix Foley even thought he might have been hearing things.

But just as that thought crossed his mind, Autumn Lynch spoke again.

”Felix, I know you’re a kind person, but think about it—this is the apocalypse! In the apocalypse, people who are too kind don’t live long! Those people are just barely hanging on as it is. Without our help, they’re going to die sooner or later anyway.

Since they’re going to die sooner or later, why not let their deaths have some value? Instead of dying in the jaws of an Aberrant Beast or starving to death, it’s better for them to become zombies, provide us with Crystal Cores, help us improve our Superpowers, and allow us to survive better in this apocalypse.

If one day we can eliminate all the Aberrant Beasts, they will have contributed their part. We will remember them forever. For the sake of making our world a better place, they sacrificed their individual selves for the greater good. They are truly great, don’t you think, Felix?”

Felix Foley was speechless.

Felix Foley shuddered. A chill ran down his spine, and the hairs on his arms stood on end.

In Felix Foley’s view, evil people weren’t scary.

On the contrary, from before the apocalypse until now, he had seen plenty of bad people.

But at least those bad people admitted they were bad.

Including himself—he was very open about his own wickedness.

But Autumn Lynch?

’She’s planning to kill so many people for her own selfish reasons, yet she’s speaking with such self-righteous conviction.’

’She wants to kill them and still expects them to be grateful.’

’She’s truly evil!’

Felix Foley never thought the day would come when he’d find someone else evil—so evil that it actually scared him.

And this person was a woman who seemed so gentle and frail, a woman who had always depended on him.

Felix Foley’s continued silence struck Autumn Lynch as odd.

They hadn’t just been together for a day or two.

After spending so much time together, Autumn Lynch believed she understood Felix Foley well enough.

’Felix Foley isn’t a kind person. To become stronger, to survive, to live a better life, he should definitely agree to my proposal.’

’But what does his silence mean now?’

Although Felix Foley’s attitude left her feeling unsettled, Autumn Lynch was not willing to give up just like that.

’I have no intention of spending the rest of my life in this small warehouse.’

’I have to become stronger!’

’I have to get back to Rising Sun Base!’

Autumn Lynch took a deep breath, adjusted her expression and her gaze, and looked at Felix Foley again. ”Felix, why aren’t you saying anything? Do you think my idea is bad?”

Autumn Lynch had always spoken with an exceptionally gentle voice.

Felix Foley had previously thought this might be because Autumn Lynch had a Water Ability, making her as gentle as water itself.

But now, that same gentle voice made Felix Foley’s skin crawl.

Still, Felix Foley resisted the urge to push Autumn Lynch away and looked at her with a troubled expression.

”Autumn, what you’re saying makes some sense, but improving our Superpowers requires a large number of Crystal Cores. Turning that many people into zombies... I’m afraid the others won’t agree.”

’Useless!’

Autumn Lynch cursed inwardly.

’Felix is their leader. If he wants to do something, he should just do it.’

’If anyone really objects, he should just turn them into a zombie.’

’It would intimidate everyone else and he’d get a Crystal Core. Killing two birds with one stone!’

But Autumn Lynch only dared to have these thoughts in her mind; she would never say them out loud.

Autumn Lynch looked at Felix Foley with her dewy eyes. ”Felix, your worries aren’t unreasonable. So why don’t we just not let them know? If you trust me, leave this to me. I know a few people who can be trusted...”

Hearing this, Felix Foley grew even more vigilant.

’Autumn Lynch can find a few trusted people?’

’Who?’

’When did Autumn Lynch win them over?’

’If they listen to Autumn Lynch, will they still listen to me?’

Although Felix Foley was thinking all this, he showed none of it on his face.

”Aren’t you afraid, Autumn?” Felix Foley asked softly.

Autumn Lynch shook her head. ”For you, Felix, and for our future, I’m not afraid of anything!”

Seeing that Autumn Lynch’s mind was made up, Felix Foley said no more.

’If Autumn Lynch wants to be the villain, then let her.’

’In the end, I’m the one who benefits!’

”Alright! Since you’re so confident, Autumn, I’ll leave this matter to you! Whoever you want to use, whoever you want to help, just call them over. Don’t have any reservations. If anyone doesn’t listen to you, just tell me, and I’ll make sure they regret it.”

With a look of deep gratitude, Autumn Lynch hugged Felix Foley around the waist, pressing her face against his chest. ”Thank you, Felix! I definitely won’t let you down!”

Felix Foley raised a hand and gently stroked Autumn Lynch’s back.

On the surface, the two of them looked incredibly affectionate and deeply in love.

But in reality, while each was plotting their own schemes, they had both become wary of each other.

Autumn Lynch chatted with Felix Foley for a little longer before getting up and walking out.

When she first arrived here, she had been like a slave with no rights.

Not only did she have to be ready to provide water at any moment, but she also had to endure everyone’s insults and some people’s groping.

If Felix Foley hadn’t declared that she belonged only to him, she didn’t know how many men would have...

Autumn Lynch lowered her eyes, a flash of coldness flickering within them.

’It’s fine. It’s all in the past!’

’No matter how hard things were, I endured it all!’

’The person who bullied me the most isn’t here anymore, are they!’

Autumn Lynch quickly summoned a few people. Without any hesitation, they followed her back into the private room.

In front of Felix Foley, Autumn Lynch repeated the plan she had just described, only this time in much greater and more complete detail.

Everyone, including Felix Foley, listened dumbfounded, staring at Autumn Lynch with complicated expressions.

No wonder they say ”the deadliest venom is a woman’s heart.” Autumn Lynch was living proof of that saying!

She had the most beautiful, sweet, and innocent face, yet she did the most vicious things!

”This concerns the improvement of all of our Superpowers,” Autumn Lynch said. ”So, everyone must take this seriously! There can be no slacking off. Understand?”

The men snapped back to their senses and nodded immediately. ”Understood! We’ll do a good job! You can count on us, Autumn!”
