Chapter 4777: Collapse of the Child Universe

It did not take much effort.

With just a few moves, the so called True Lord Ziyun, who claimed to be infinitely close to the supreme level, was easily suppressed and killed by Lin Moyu.

The so called billions of incarnations were completely useless.

In the face of a true powerhouse, all such methods were meaningless.

Lin Moyu swept through with overwhelming force, and the Undying Spirit Soldiers, like an autumn wind blowing away fallen leaves, left no living being behind wherever they passed.

In just ten short days, all the mutated beings in the child universe had been exterminated, leaving no survivors.

Lin Moyu witnessed this process through the universal laws, and the next step was to shatter those laws, letting the universe collapse and turn into remains.

Lin Moyu said,

“To personally smash a universe does have a certain charm.”

The Hongmeng Stone replied,

“Other than during a Great Annihilation or when a universe reaches the absolute end of its lifespan and self destructs, only supremes possess this ability.

Master is probably the sole exception.”

Lin Moyu said,

“This child universe is a Six Cycle universe.

If my sensing is not wrong, its mother universe should be a Nine Cycle universe.

“But a single Nine Cycle universe should still not be enough to raise the Moyu Divine Universe to a higher level.

Hopefully, in the time to come, there will be a chance to find other Nine Cycle universes.”

Nine Cycle universes were few in number, only nine in total, and not easily found.

Lin Moyu had no good solution for this either.

He could only rely on the little tree to search and see if his luck would hold.

The Hongmeng Stone said,

“Master does not seem worried at all about whether you can refine a Nine Cycle universe.”

Lin Moyu replied,

“Worry is useless.

It will be known soon enough.”

The Wings of Heaven and Earth unfurled to their fullest, covering an expanse of billions of miles, and the endless power of the wings spread outward, bringing nearly half the child universe under their domain.

All the universal laws submitted beneath the Wings of Heaven and Earth.

Life and death, destruction and preservation, could be decided with a single thought.

“Collapse.”

With nothing more than a thought, the universal laws began to shatter on a massive scale.

If only a portion of the laws were broken, the universe would naturally be able to repair itself, and it would recover very quickly, needing little time.

But if a great many laws collapsed at the same time, restoring them would become difficult and slow.

Once more than half the universal laws broke down, the universe would no longer be able to heal itself.

If external force was added on top, the universe’s collapse would become inevitable.

It was like an avalanche.

A bit of loose snow falling caused no real harm.

But if a great mass of snow slid down, once the avalanche gained momentum, it could no longer be stopped.

That was how it was now.

Lin Moyu shattered half the universal laws of the child universe in an instant, forming the unstoppable momentum of an avalanche.

The child universe could no longer self repair.

“This is the correct way to use the Wings of Heaven and Earth.”

Lin Moyu smiled lightly.

The Wings of Heaven and Earth could make the universal laws submit, and they could also annihilate them.

This technique was specifically designed to target universes.

The former Chaos Wings had been the same, able to curse and destroy the Great Dao.

The current Wings of Heaven and Earth went even further and directly targeted universes themselves.

The Hongmeng Stone said,

“The collapse of the universe has already begun.

It will not be long before it turns into remains.”

Lin Moyu said,

“When that happens, I will enter the mother universe and seize its universe core…”

Before he could finish, a tyrannical power surged in from all directions, entering the child universe and repairing its laws.

The rules that had collapsed moments before were restored by more than half in the blink of an eye.

Lin Moyu paused for a second.

“This is the power of the mother universe.

It is helping the child universe repair its laws.”

The Hongmeng Stone said,

“This is not something I have seen before.”

The Wings of Heaven and Earth spread again, continuing to shatter the laws, while the power of the mother universe poured in unceasingly, restoring them once more.

Sensing the power coming from the mother universe, Lin Moyu said calmly,

“The bond between this mother and child universe is quite strong.

The child universe is also a part of the mother universe.

Like a child, the mother universe will naturally not watch its child die.”

“I did not misjudge it.

This mother universe really is a Nine Cycle universe, and the power of a Nine Cycle universe is indeed formidable.

Even as mere remains, it is still enough to prevent the child universe from collapsing.”

The Hongmeng Stone asked,

“What should be done, then?”

Lin Moyu said,

“Simple.

Just stop the mother universe.”

The power of a Nine Cycle universe was extremely strong, and Lin Moyu had no desire to waste a great deal of time grinding it down.

So the simplest solution was to block it.

As long as its power could not enter the child universe, that would be enough.

There were many channels between the mother and child universes.

One of them was fixed, while the others were not.

At this moment, the power of the mother universe was flooding into the child universe through these channels without end, and what Lin Moyu needed to do was to sever them.

But the channels could be rebuilt, so it would also be necessary to deceive the mother universe.

For Lin Moyu, this was not a difficult matter.

He spread the Wings of Heaven and Earth and roamed across the child universe.

Wherever he passed, the void solidified and space was sealed.

Working together with the Nine Heavens Fate Art, Lin Moyu divided the universal laws of the child universe into two parts.

One part was used externally to solidify the void and seal off spatial channels, while at the same time indicating to the mother universe that the child universe remained intact.

It was equivalent to adding an extra shell around the child universe.

This shell covered up the child universe’s true condition.

The other part accelerated the collapse of the universal laws.

Once the degree of law collapse exceeded eighty percent, there would truly be no way back, and only total destruction would remain.

The one troublesome piece in this process was the fixed channel at the center of the child universe.

This channel was the largest and strongest, and it would not be easy to seal.

Moreover, Lin Moyu still needed it to enter the mother universe, so he did not break the laws in the central region.

Instead, he created a heavy illusion there, preserving the appearance of a completely undamaged center.

The mother universe possessed no awareness, only instinct.

Deceiving it was not difficult at all.

According to his own plan, Lin Moyu proceeded, and the process went extremely smoothly.

The laws within the child universe continued collapsing, and large swathes of regions caved in and shrank.

From the outside, the child universe appeared to show no abnormality.

Inside, however, it had already been churned into a chaotic mess.

When the degree of internal collapse passed seventy percent, the outer shell finally could not withstand the strain and shattered along with it.

The mother universe immediately noticed something was wrong.

Driven by its laws, its universal power flooded in, attempting to repair the child universe.

Lin Moyu moved his will, massively accelerating the rate of collapse, and before the power of the mother universe arrived, he pushed the child universe’s collapse past eighty percent.

From that moment on, the child universe’s collapse became irreversible, and not even the mother universe could save it.

“It is done.”

Lin Moyu said under his breath.

Although this step had been somewhat troublesome, events had gone as he expected.

This meant that his understanding of universes had taken another step forward.

The Hongmeng Stone said,

“Master is truly formidable.”

Lin Moyu watched the universe continuing to crumble.

“Actually, aside from this, there was another method.

This one was simply easier and spared me the trouble.”

The other method was naturally to use a formation, like in the Ancient Chaos Wilds, laying down a grand array within the universe and shattering all of its laws in an instant.

However, setting up such an array required a great deal of time, and Lin Moyu did not feel like wasting so much time on that.

Suddenly, a strange aura came from the void, crossing through it and leaving a mark on Lin Moyu’s body.

This aura came from the mother universe, from the laws of the Nine Cycle universe, and it left him no chance to evade.

Lin Moyu’s eyes flashed.

“So the mother universe has marked me.

It seems that when I reach it, there will be some trouble.”

The Hongmeng Stone said,

“It believes Master has killed its child, so it leaves a mark.

Once Master goes there, it will lash out at you.

“This is an instinct of the universal laws.

Before even entering the mother universe, Master has already become the public enemy of that universe.”
