Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 337: Reading Too Little, Making a Fuss About Nothing

After the job change, Lin Moyu automatically mastered the level 40 skills.

There was no need to use skill scrolls anymore.

While awakening new skills, the system also optimized and fused his existing skills.

As Lin Moyu reviewed his skills, he found that most of them hadn’t changed, only further enhanced.

The first change was to the Blessing of Light skill.

The Blessing of Light skill obtained through the Light Gem disappeared and fused with a newly acquired skill, becoming a passive skill: Status Immunity.

[Status Immunity: Immune to all negative statuses.]

The negative statuses referred to in the skill include curses, control, seals, and various other states.

Originally, Blessing of Light was an active skill, lasting 30 minutes each time it was cast, with a cooldown of 30 minutes. Although useful, it still required manual activation.

Now it had become a passive skill, no longer needing to be cast intentionally, and could maintain immunity at all times.

As far as Lin Moyu knew, no profession had such a passive skill.

Even the dragon race, which was naturally resistant to negative statuses, couldn’t achieve complete immunity.

The second change was to Lin Moyu’s two most commonly used curse skills.

The Slow Curse and Damage Curse fused to become a new skill: Aging Curse.

[Aging Curse (Level 40): Curses all enemies within a 100-meter radius, reducing their speed by 100%, and increasing the damage they receive by 30%, lasting for 1 minute.]

After the fusion, the slowing effect of the original Slow Curse was somewhat weakened.

The new skill’s curse range became 100 meters, and the enemies’ speed was reduced by half. As for the original Damage Curse, the damage increase remained unchanged, but the range was greatly expanded. With the Comprehensive Amplification talent, the enemies’ speed would be reduced by 50 times, and the damage they received would increase by 15 times. The fusion combined the strengths of both, achieving a dual curse effect and compensating for the inability to coexist. In battle, Lin Moyu no longer needed to choose between them.

The third skill.

During the second job change, Lin Moyu awakened a new skill: Bleeding Curse.

The Bleeding Curse then fused with the Toxic Star Ring, becoming a new skill: Toxic Starburst.

[Toxic Starburst (Level 40): Deals poison damage to all enemies within a 100-meter radius, causing them to take damage equal to 400 points of strength per second, lasting for 100 seconds.]

This skill maintained its original power, with a greatly increased range and duration.

As a large-scale damage skill, in the absence of corpses, this would be Lin Moyu’s strongest group attack skill. Dealing 20,000 points of strength attribute damage per second, lasting for a full 5,000 seconds.

The total damage was astonishing.

If combined with the Primordial Rune’s [Strong Soldier] skill, the killing power of Toxic Starburst would become terrifying.

After reviewing the changes to the three skills, Lin Moyu turned his attention to his new skill: Summon Skeleton Sharpshooter.

[Summon Skeleton Sharpshooter (Level 1): Summon an iron-level Skeleton Sharpshooter.]

The appearance of the Sharpshooter meant that he now had long-range physical attack capabilities.

The members of the Undead Army increased again, now having warriors, mages, and archers.

Lin Moyu calculated that he had actually mastered three new skills during the second job change.

Two of them fused with previously mastered skills.

The only truly new skill was Summon Skeleton Sharpshooter.

In addition, the other two major summoning skills also changed.

[Summon Skeleton Berserker (Level 40): Summon a platinum-level Skeleton Berserker.]

[Summon Skeleton Mage (Level 40): Summon a platinum-level Skeleton Mage.]

Although he hadn’t checked the specific attributes yet, it was clear that they were definitely stronger.

After reviewing the skills, Lin Moyu also noticed a few changes.

The summoning space increased. From the first job change, each level up increased the summoning space by 10.

At level 39, it was 390 summoning spaces.

Normally, at level 40, it should be 400 summoning spaces.

After this job sublimation, the summoning space became 600, a full 50% increase.

The number of undead the Lich General could carry was equal to the summoning space.

In other words, each Lich General could carry 600 skeletons.

A 20-member Lich General’s Undead Army would have 12,000 skeletons.

A ten-thousand-strong army was thus formed.

Plus, the skeletons’ terrifying attributes…

Lin Moyu felt he could dominate any dungeon.

Another change was that titles and equipment had all disappeared.

Title attributes were gone.

All equipment became unusable.

Although he was still wearing the equipment, he couldn’t feel any bonuses from it.

Lin Moyu thought it might be due to his profession.

Previously, he couldn’t enjoy the status bonuses from support.

Now, even the title and equipment bonuses were ineffective.

“Completely relying on myself now!”

Lin Moyu whispered to himself, exhaling deeply.

No matter what, he was already strong enough.

Now with infinite spirit, skyrocketing attributes, it didn’t matter if he had no titles or equipment.

The second job change brought immense gains.

Attributes fully broke through, god-level talents, optimized new skills, all were powerful.

Lin Moyu opened his eyes and saw Bai Yiyuan and the other two drinking tea nearby.

They seemed indifferent to his job change, but Bai Yiyuan’s occasional glances betrayed his true feelings.

Lin Moyu noticed but didn’t point it out.

“Teacher, Senior Meng, I’ve completed my job change.”

“Thank you, teachers and Senior Meng, for your protection.”

Lin Moyu respectfully poured tea for the three.

Bai Yiyuan nodded, “How is it? Tell us.”

They could see that Lin Moyu’s new profession was Necromancer Lord.

It was also a new profession never seen before in human history.

Lin Moyu explained his new talents and skills.

When he mentioned that the new talent fused with the one obtained through the Dragon Crystal, forming a new god-level talent, Bai Yiyuan and Yan Kuangsheng were both shocked, exclaiming simultaneously, “How is this possible!”

Only Meng Anwen remained calm, coughing lightly, “Don’t make a fuss, talent fusion has happened before in history.”

The two were immediately distracted, looking at Meng Anwen.

Bai Yiyuan said, “How come I don’t know? Old Meng, don’t fool me.”

Meng Anwen continued, “It’s recorded in the ’Empire Chronicles,’ on the first page, you can check it yourself.”

“Not only can talents fuse, but skills can also fuse. So, you two read too little and make a fuss about nothing.”

Lin Moyu breathed a sigh of relief, not knowing how to explain it himself.

It turned out that talent and skill fusion had happened before.

That was good, saving him the trouble of making up an excuse.

Meng Anwen asked, “What’s your current attribute?”

Lin Moyu answered truthfully, “Spirit attribute just broke through.”

Yan Kuangsheng nodded, “Hmm, total attribute 150,000. If you exclude the Heart Meat’s bonus, it’s still 70,000 total attributes. Not bad, higher than other professionals.”

“Wait…” Bai Yiyuan suddenly exclaimed, “Xiaoyu, you said the other three attributes, is that the total or single attribute?”

Lin Moyu said, “Single attribute 47,850.”

Pfft!

Yan Kuangsheng spat out his tea, spraying it all over Bai Yiyuan’s face.

He exclaimed, “Then your total attribute is 250,000?”

Lin Moyu nodded, admitting it openly.

Even as a god-level expert, Yan Kuangsheng couldn’t contain his excitement.

Level 40, with attributes several times higher than other professionals.

Bai Yiyuan drank a cup of tea, his voice slightly trembling with excitement, “Your total attribute is already several times higher than mid-level legendary professionals, you’re practically a humanoid BOSS, a world BOSS.”

Lin Moyu smiled, “It’s all thanks to the teachers’ arrangements.”

“If it weren’t for Teacher Yan’s Heart Meat, Teacher Bai’s job change array.”

“And Senior Meng’s guidance, I wouldn’t have reached these attributes.”

He decisively credited the three, which pleased them greatly.

Yan Kuangsheng didn’t take credit, “This is also inseparable from your own efforts.”

Bai Yiyuan waved his hand, tossing a small box to Lin Moyu.

“These are for you, as a gift for your successful job change.”

Lin Moyu curiously opened it.

Blinding light burst from the box, accompanied by strong elemental fluctuations.

Inside the box were three pieces of jewelry: a ring, an earring, and a necklace.

Three BOSS accessories…

And an amulet.
