Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 115: Hell Difficulty Outpost, Really Not for Humans

Shi Xing’an’s eyes widened, as did those of his teammates.

They looked at each other in disbelief.

They were all students of Summer Capital University, seniors to Lin Moyu.

Were new students so overpowered now?

New students should only be level 15 or 16.

Then participate in the traditional event at the opening ceremony, get taught a lesson by seniors.

After that, obediently receive guidance at the university, train hard, learn skills, complete missions.

Gain access to the Dungeon Hall, then run some dungeons there to level up.

When the time was right, take a mission to come to the Elemental Battlefield.

Or join an academy and participate in some trials.

At least they should clear the Tyrant Desert dungeon before coming out.

How could a new student come to the Elemental Battlefield, and be so terrifying?

Swallowing hard, Shi Xing’an asked, “Junior, your career is Necromancer? I’ve never heard of it before.”

Lin Moyu said softly, “It’s a new career.”

So it was a new career, no wonder they hadn’t heard of it.

The elder healer sister also came over, “Junior, your career is really amazing. Let me introduce myself, I’m Liang Yue, level 31, Elven Elder career.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Hello, senior.”

Liang Yue said openly, “No need to be formal. We should thank you for earlier. Though we could have broken out, it would have taken a lot of effort, not as easy as now.”

Indeed, with their abilities they should have been able to break out.

But it would have required a big battle.

They might have gotten injured.

Lin Moyu’s appearance quickly resolved the crisis.

Lin Moyu said, “Killing Abyss monsters is our responsibility.”

Hearing Lin Moyu’s words, Shi Xing’an’s good impression of him increased greatly.

Shi Xing’an said loudly, “Junior Lin is right, killing Abyss monsters is the responsibility of us career holders.”

“When I reach level 40 and complete my second transition, I’ll charge into the Abyss to kill monsters there.”

The others in the team also showed agreement, clearly thinking the same.

Liang Yue snorted, “Easy to say. Reaching level 40 isn’t hard, but the second transition quest isn’t so simple.”

“Hell difficulty dungeons aren’t easy to clear.”

Shi Xing’an was generous, waving his hand, “No rush, let’s earn money and military merits first.”

“Try to raise our military rank to lieutenant before level 40.”

“By then we’ll have learned new skills, changed to all platinum equipment, find a few more people, we’ll definitely be able to clear a Hell dungeon.”

“I know a Hell dungeon at the border of Divine Summer Empire, that one’s not too difficult, relatively easier to clear.”

Liang Yue frowned, thinking, “You mean that level 35 dungeon at our border with Stick Country?”

“That’s right, that one.”

Liang Yue nodded, “That dungeon is indeed not too difficult. But Stick Country career holders often guard the entrance, not letting us in.”

“What’s there to worry about? Mere Stick Country, if they dare block us we’ll beat them up.”

Shi Xing’an didn’t take Stick Country seriously at all.

Divine Summer Empire bordered Stick Country, and there were occasional conflicts between career holders of both sides.

The dungeon they mentioned was right on the border between the two countries.

Stick Country career holders often came to block the entrance, not letting Divine Summer Empire career holders enter.

The two sides frequently clashed.

Stick Country’s territory was over a hundred times smaller than Divine Summer Empire, with fewer dungeons and scarce resources.

Unlike Divine Summer Empire which had many dungeons and abundant resources within its borders.

Career holders of Divine Summer Empire had far more choices.

So the Divine Summer Empire government turned a blind eye to this.

As long as no one died, small conflicts weren’t a bad thing.

Shi Xing’an spoke loudly, attracting the attention of other career holders.

Someone looked over, not wearing Divine Summer clothes.

Shi Xing’an glared back rudely, “What are you looking at? Not convinced? Want to come fight?”

The person was immediately scared by Shi Xing’an and shrank back.

Shi Xing’an snorted disdainfully, “That guy’s from Stick Country. Dares to provoke my Divine Summer, itching for a beating.”

As they talked, the group chatted more.

Lin Moyu didn’t know which dungeon they were talking about, so he didn’t interrupt.

He just listened while resting and recovering his energy.

Preparing for the next dungeon run.

The previous run had involved 10+ hours of continuous fighting.

It wasn’t easy.

Lin Moyu didn’t plan to use a fatigue potion.

Fatigue potions were only for emergencies, not to be relied on.

Groups of career holders lit fires in front of the dungeon entrance again, chatting and laughing.

As if nothing had happened earlier.

Career holders in the Elemental Battlefield were thick-skinned.

Some things were commonplace to them.

Other career holders occasionally came over to join.

Besides Divine Summer teams, there were teams from other countries here.

People grouped by country. Divine Summer people stuck together, other countries kept to themselves.

Career holders from other countries had witnessed Lin Moyu’s skeletons slaughtering earlier, and were in awe of him.

They glanced over occasionally, whispering among themselves.

But none dared approach, keeping their distance from Lin Moyu.

Now the Hellhound corpses had disappeared.

The ground of the Elemental Battlefield seemed like an invisible mouth, swallowing corpses quickly after death.

Shi Xing’an also lit a fire, taking out prepared food to roast.

He also took out some alcohol, “Junior Lin, want some?”

Lin Moyu shook his head, “I don’t drink.”

Shi Xing’an looked regretful, “This isn’t ordinary alcohol. It’s medicinal wine made by a Gourmet. It can dispel fatigue and speed up body recovery. We have some after battle, the effect is great.”

Liang Yue stuffed the medicinal wine into Lin Moyu’s hand, “Though this wine has an alcohol taste, it won’t make you drunk.”

Lin Moyu looked at it curiously.

[Delicious Fruit Wine: Fragrant and delicious, can eliminate fatigue and restore energy.]

There wasn’t much explanation, just one sentence.

Lin Moyu hadn’t seen this in the exchange either.

But he knew about Gourmets. Gourmet was a life-class career that could make various delicacies.

Some foods made by Gourmets not only tasted good, but also had special effects.

Lin Moyu tried a sip. It was sweet and indeed tasted good.

After a few sips, his fatigue was noticeably reduced.

It had a similar effect to fatigue potions, but not as strong.

It only alleviated and improved, not completely eliminating fatigue.

“We’re going to run another dungeon later. Want to come with us, Junior Lin?” Shi Xing’an asked while roasting meat.

Lin Moyu shook his head, “I’ll solo.”

He had refused.

Shi Xing’an knew Lin Moyu’s skeletons were very powerful, so he might really be able to solo.

He didn’t insist, “Alright then. Next time don’t choose Hell difficulty, that’s really not for humans to run. Even 12-person elite teams have trouble clearing it.”

“I really admire you for surviving in there so long, junior.”

Liang Yue continued, “That’s right, all the monsters in there have control skills, it’s so annoying. Last time we went, we couldn’t stop casting skills, healing non-stop. It was exhausting.”

“It’s all this guy’s fault. His equipment and skills weren’t good enough, couldn’t even tank one monster. Last time we went in he almost died.”

Shi Xing’an quickly defended himself, “How is that my fault? I was only level 29 then, hadn’t even learned level 30 skills. And I was wearing silver equipment, of course I couldn’t beat them.”

Liang Yue snorted, “You’re not much better now. Hell difficulty Outpost really isn’t for humans to run.”

Shi Xing’an said, “I just need a shield. Once I get an Outpost shield, we can go to the level 30 dungeon and run Nightmare difficulty.”

Liang Yue said, “It’s not that easy to get. Among Outpost series equipment, the shield is the hardest to drop. We’ve run it so many times and haven’t gotten one. There aren’t even any for sale in the exchange.”

“If we don’t get one soon, we’ll be level 32 and over the dungeon entry level. Then we can’t enter the dungeon, and you can’t buy a shield. What do we do then?”

Shi Xing’an said, “Don’t worry, we’ll definitely get one. If worst comes to worst, I’ll buy another gold shield. Though the attributes are a bit worse, it’s still usable.”

He passed over some roasted meat, “Junior Lin, have some meat.”

Liang Yue smiled, “What equipment does Junior Lin need? If we get any drops we can sell them to you cheap.”

Shi Xing’an nodded, “The Outpost set is very good, top-tier gold equipment. Especially the shield, it’s even better than some platinum equipment.”

“Though Junior Lin is only level 23, it’s good to prepare gold equipment early. You can use it when you reach level 30.”

Lin Moyu didn’t know the attributes of the Nightmare Outpost shield, but he had seen the Hell Outpost shield and its attributes were indeed very strong.

Especially the additional attributes – 50% increased control skill resistance, 50% reduced control duration.

These two attributes were godly for knights.

They could greatly increase a knight’s survival rate.

Sometimes, they could even save lives.

Lin Moyu asked, “Can Hell Outpost equipment and Nightmare Outpost equipment form a set?”

Liang Yue ate meat elegantly, saying softly, “Of course. Hell Outpost equipment is too rare, basically no teams can clear Hell difficulty Outpost.”

Shi Xing’an shook his head, “It’s really difficult. As far as I know, teams from Creation Academy, Divine Creation Academy and Flame Emperor Academy of our Summer Capital University have cleared it. Don’t know about other teams.”

Liang Yue was unimpressed, “Creation Academy, Divine Creation Academy, Flame Emperor Academy, they’re all monsters. Of course they can clear it. Others shouldn’t even think about it.”

Shi Xing’an was about to say something when his eyes suddenly widened and he jumped up.

“This is… this is…”

Shi Xing’an stuttered, unable to speak.

The others also widened their eyes.

Liang Yue’s mouth opened so wide two eggs could fit in.

Plop!

The meat and wine in her hand fell.

A shield appeared in Lin Moyu’s hand.

[Hell Outpost Shield]
