Chapter 110: Spectating Skeleton Warriors

Large numbers of Dragon Spearmen were running towards Lin Moyu from the small woods on both sides.

They all had huge crimson shackles above their heads.

All affected by Slow Curse.

Behind them were Dragon Mages.

Looking around, there were at least a hundred Dragon Spearmen.

And over twenty Dragon Mages.

“How did I forget about the range?”

This was the first time using Slow Curse in battle since upgrading it to level 22.

He had forgotten about the massive 3300 meter range.

Such a large range covered almost all the small woods on both sides, naturally attracting all the monsters inside.

“This is actually a good way to pull monsters, just too slow.”

The dragon monsters ran in slow motion, giving Lin Moyu plenty of time to attack.

The Dragon Spearmen activated their skills.

The skeleton warriors retreated. Most successfully avoided the skills, only a few were too slow and got hit, falling into a stunned state again.

Even so, Lin Moyu didn’t give the Dragon Spearmen a chance to damage the skeleton warriors.

With a miserable scream, a slow-motion Dragon Spearman fell under magical attacks.

Then came earth-shaking explosions.

The Dragon Spearmen pulled by the skeleton warriors all died, not one left.

At this time, the distant Dragon Spearmen and Mages were still slowly running.

After being slowed 33 times, they were at best equivalent to level 20 career holders.

Pitifully slow.

Lin Moyu waited for them to enter the skeleton mages’ attack range.

Then he began picking them off.

The skeleton warriors went to meet them again, attacking while acting as a wall to block the Dragon Spearmen outside.

Suddenly transparent shackles appeared on the skeleton warriors.

Wind Shackles!

The Dragon Mages kept casting Wind Shackles, trapping the skeleton warriors in place one by one.

It only slowed their speed, not affecting their ability to use skills.

“The distance is so far.”

Lin Moyu was secretly shocked.

The Dragon Mages were at least 300 meters away from the skeleton warriors.

They could use skills from such a long range.

Much farther than the skeleton mages’ range.

When iron-rank, skeleton mages only had a 50 meter range.

At bronze-rank, it reached 100 meters.

Now at silver-rank, skeleton mages had a 200 meter range.

Still inferior to the Dragon Mages.

For mages, a longer range gave a much bigger advantage.

Higher safety, even able to kite.

Just like now.

20 Dragon Mages constantly used skills, quickly trapping the skeleton warriors in place.

Then massive fire rain fell.

The bound skeleton warriors had no way to resist, only passively enduring.

This was the weakness of skeleton warriors.

Without counter-skills, they were easily countered and targeted.

“Focus fire!”

Lin Moyu pointed at the Dragon Spearman in front. The skeleton mages immediately concentrated their attacks.

At the same time, Soul Fire flickered in Lin Moyu’s hand.

As for the skeleton warriors, they could only act as meat shields to attract fire now.

Fortunately their constitution was strong enough. It would take the Dragon Mages quite some time to kill them.

Two rounds of focused fire from the skeleton mages, plus Lin Moyu’s Soul Fire.

Quickly killed one Dragon Spearman.

Then came Corpse Explosion!

Explosions rang out through the dungeon again, killing a bunch of Dragon Spearmen.

Corpse Explosion’s range wasn’t enough to affect the Dragon Mages.

The Dragon Mages stood over 300 meters away constantly raining fire, while controlling the skeleton warriors. They didn’t come any closer.

At this time, if there was a knight, they could use Taunt to attract the Dragon Mages.

Some knights even had chain skills that could directly pull Dragon Mages to them.

Knights also had skills to resist control, so Wind Shackles wouldn’t be very effective on them.

Besides knights, Lin Moyu also thought of mages.

Some mages had Silence skills that could directly make mage monsters lose attack ability.

But now…

There was only one method.

Have the skeleton mages quickly advance and focus fire on the Dragon Mages.

He would also cooperate with the skeleton mages, using Soul Fire to try to interrupt the Dragon Mages’ skills.

This way, both sides entered a head-on battle state again.

Before the binding state ended, the skeleton warriors couldn’t help at all.

They could only stand there like wooden stakes as targets, not even able to be recalled to the summoning space.

This dungeon run was the most difficult Lin Moyu had ever experienced.

Hell difficulty truly lived up to its name.

If Bai Yiyuan knew Lin Moyu would choose Hell difficulty, he’d probably spit out a mouthful of blood.

At this time, Bai Yiyuan had already returned to Summer Capital University, back to his small courtyard.

Meng Anwen was still sitting there, drinking tea, appreciating some unknown scenery.

He seemed to always be looking at something, his gaze profound, incomprehensible to others.

When Bai Yiyuan returned, Meng Anwen finally retracted his gaze and poured him a cup of tea, “Sent him off?”

“Mm, sent him off.”

Meng Anwen gave him a meaningful look, “Seems you really want to cultivate him. You even planted an imprint for him in the Hall of Heroes. Your five-star divine general became four-star, right?”

Bai Yiyuan had really gone all out.

He even gave up his five-star divine general status.

To plant an imprint for Lin Moyu, he consumed a large amount of military merits, going from five-star to four-star divine general.

Others might not know the meaning of this, but Meng Anwen understood very well.

He also had a military badge on his shoulder, purple-gold with five shining stars.

Bai Yiyuan didn’t care at all, “This kid has potential. Can’t let him die from some accident.”

“Our human race’s geniuses have died enough. Better to save one if we can.”

Meng Anwen didn’t dwell on this issue, drinking his tea, “He should have gone to the Dragon Outpost dungeon, right?”

“Definitely. The task I gave him was to get some dragon materials. He has to go even if he doesn’t want to.”

Bai Yiyuan had a smug smile on his face.

He looked as if he had arranged every step for Lin Moyu, and Lin Moyu just had to follow.

Meng Anwen said slowly, “The materials you want only drop in Nightmare difficulty at least, and the chance is very low.”

Bai Yiyuan laughed, “That’s exactly the effect I want. Doesn’t that kid have a cooldown talisman? He’ll get them after seven or eight runs.”

Meng Anwen shook his head, unconvinced, “What if, just what if, he chose Hell difficulty?”

Pffft!

Bai Yiyuan spat out his tea.

He looked incredulous, “No way, this kid can’t be that stupid, right?”

“How can you call it stupid? Should say he’s confident. This kid has always been confident in himself, right? He even carried 39 people through Tyrant Desert. What’s impossible for him?”

Bai Yiyuan looked a bit frustrated, “I should have reminded him not to go to Hell difficulty dungeons. Hell difficulty is completely different from Nightmare.”

Meng Anwen smiled, “Anyway, if he really went, you can’t do anything about it now. You can’t go in to save him either. Just let fate decide. You’ve already planted an imprint for him, so he won’t die. At most he’ll suffer a bit.”

Bai Yiyuan’s eyes showed worry, he had a terrible headache.

“How did I forget to tell him?”

Seeing Bai Yiyuan’s headache, Meng Anwen’s smile grew even deeper, as if seeing something interesting.

There weren’t many things that could give Bai Yiyuan a headache now.

He put the newly poured teacup under his nose and said softly, “Have you considered, what if he really clears the Hell difficulty dungeon?”

“Impossible!” Bai Yiyuan blurted out. This was his instinctive reaction. In his mind, he didn’t think Lin Moyu had any chance of clearing a Hell difficulty dungeon.

Meng Anwen fell silent, just quietly drinking tea and looking at Bai Yiyuan.

A moment later, Bai Yiyuan said solemnly, “If he really clears it, the benefits would be too great.”

…

[Killed Dragon Mage]

[Obtained Dragon Horn]

Finally cleared out all the Dragon Mages.

The skeleton mages were all injured.

Lin Moyu recalled them to the summoning space to recover.

Got two more Dragon Horns. Two horns from 20 mages, the drop rate really was low.

In this battle, the skeleton warriors basically just stood there watching, only missing some watermelon to eat.

Lin Moyu found an empty spot to sit and rest.

The dungeon was only one-third cleared now.

He had never had such a hard time in a dungeon.

Inadvertently, he saw the dungeon exit in the distance.

After fighting for so long, the exit was still in sight. Lin Moyu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Who could have imagined Hell difficulty would be so high, completely beyond expectations.

The key wasn’t the increased monster strength, but the various control skills that made Lin Moyu extremely uncomfortable.

Looking at the distant outpost fortress, the fortress seemed to exude a mocking aura.

Lin Moyu’s lips curled slightly. Since he was here, he naturally had to fight to the end.

He had to at least see what a Hell difficulty dungeon boss looked like.

Giving up halfway wasn’t his style.

After resting for a moment, feeling the skeleton mages had recovered enough, Lin Moyu set out towards the fortress again.

The 3000 meters ahead were empty of monsters.

The Slow Curse skill had attracted all the monsters in the large area.

Past the 3000 meter area, the dungeon road was clear.

Now the fortress was fully in view.

With a level 22 career holder’s eyesight, he could see the entire fortress.

The fortress looked very similar to human fortresses.

Dragon monsters stood on the walls.

Mages and archers patrolled back and forth.

The defenses were tight.

Lin Moyu had a headache.

With mages present, it would be hard to attack.

The only good thing was that the fortress gates were open, not closed.

There were also many dragon monsters outside the fortress.

“Clear the dragon monsters outside first.”

Lin Moyu no longer used the monster pulling method, but started clearing them one by one.

In this environment, mass killing wasn’t necessarily faster.

Especially with mages present. Just a few more and the skeleton warriors would become useless.

He could only go bit by bit, letting the skeleton warriors’ numerical and attribute advantages come into play.

Though slower, it was also more relaxed.

This was like going back to Lin Moyu’s first dungeon run.

“Take it slow. Give up on speed clearing and honestly go back to basics.”
