Chapter 84: Rich and Foolish? A New Godly Skill

A beautiful silver-white longsword appeared in his hand, instantly increasing his spirit attribute to 1700.

Lin Moyu could feel energy flowing from the Spirit Sword into his body.

Using Soul Fire while holding it would significantly increase its power.

He had spent 10,000 points in just two minutes.

He had 125,000 points left, which seemed like a lot but wasn’t enough when actually used.

Those gold-grade weapons and equipment cost tens of thousands of points each. His entire fortune could only buy one piece.

1700 spirit power wasn’t enough, so Lin Moyu looked for armor.

“Oh? This is…”

Lin Moyu saw a mage armor called Spirit Robe among the armor.

[Spirit Robe: Silver-grade, Spirit +200, usable after level 20]

[Creator: Zhang Tie]

[Description: One of the Spirit Trilogy set]

Made by the same person, same name.

Also only increased spirit attribute.

These weren’t strange.

What caught Lin Moyu’s attention was the last description: One of the Spirit Trilogy set.

“This is… a set.”

Lin Moyu was slightly surprised.

In high school, when learning basic weapon and equipment knowledge, he had seen descriptions of equipment sets.

Sets were extremely rare equipment. Completing a set would provide additional bonuses.

The Spirit Robe was also priced at 2000 points, slightly cheaper than the weapon but more expensive than other silver-grade armor.

Lin Moyu bought it without hesitation.

Points? He didn’t care much for now.

With food in hand, no need to panic.

With a thought, the Spirit Robe appeared on his body, replacing the original Knowledge Robe.

His spirit power immediately increased to 1900.

Lin Moyu checked his attributes and found the set effect hadn’t activated.

The Spirit Trilogy was still missing one piece.

He opened the exchange again and started searching.

The exchange had a search function. Following Lin Moyu’s intent, it quickly found the corresponding equipment.

[Spirit Ring: Silver-grade, Spirit +200, usable after level 20]

[Creator: Zhang Tie]

[Description: One of the Spirit Trilogy set]

Priced at 5000 points, extremely expensive.

Far exceeding other silver-grade accessories in price.

Lin Moyu didn’t care about the price. He just wanted to complete the set now.

He bought it without hesitation and put it on his finger.

With the set complete, Lin Moyu’s body emitted a faint silver light, attracting attention from others in the exchange.

“This is… the glow of a set. Someone completed a set.”

“Silver-white glow, it’s a silver-grade set.”

“What set is there in silver-grade? Never heard of it.”

“Did you forget that handcrafted set?”

“You mean that set that only increases spirit? The one that’s been on the exchange for over two years?”

“Wow, someone actually bought this set?”

“Must be rich and foolish.”

Everyone looked at Lin Moyu like he was an idiot.

Spending a full 10,000 points to buy a silver set with no skill bonuses – if not an idiot, what else?

What use was stacking spirit power so high?

Better to have higher skill bonuses, which could increase attack power.

Other mages’ skill power didn’t depend much on spirit power.

They didn’t understand Lin Moyu, and Lin Moyu didn’t need them to understand.

After putting on the Spirit Ring, his spirit attribute had reached 2100.

Far exceeding his other attributes.

Then Lin Moyu finally saw the set bonus.

The Spirit Trilogy set provided an additional 800 spirit power.

The Spirit Sword, Spirit Robe, and Spirit Ring together increased spirit power by 800 points.

In total, they increased Lin Moyu’s spirit power by 1600 points.

His spirit attribute reached 2900.

“Very worth it.”

Lin Moyu felt the 10,000 points were well spent.

Under everyone’s strange gazes, Lin Moyu left the Trading Center.

He hadn’t said a word from start to finish.

But when leaving, Lin Moyu’s face showed a hint of satisfaction and joy.

“What a weirdo. Spent so many points to buy a set that only increases spirit, and he’s so happy.”

“Maybe he thinks it looks good. I saw his Spirit Robe and Sword earlier, they did look pretty nice.”

“What use is looking good? We need strength. Can good looks daze a boss?”

“He’s rich and doesn’t care. 10,000 points, if only I had that. I’m just short on points for my gold weapon.”

After leaving the exchange, Lin Moyu went straight to the Skill Training Hall.

The university had a dedicated Skill Training Hall with arrays set up by formation masters.

Not only could one train skills faster in the Skill Training Hall, it was said to increase the chance of awakening skills.

Whether this rumor was reliable was unclear, but many people chose to use skill scrolls in the Skill Training Hall.

With the mindset of “better believe it exists than not”, Lin Moyu also followed suit.

The Skill Training Hall was also divided into junior, intermediate and advanced levels.

Like dungeons, it required both points and level.

Lin Moyu was only level 20, so he could only enter the junior Skill Training Hall.

100 points for one hour of training in the junior hall.

Now he understood why students trained skills outside even with the Skill Training Hall available.

100 points per hour was quite expensive.

And this was just the junior hall. The intermediate hall cost 1000 points per hour, and the advanced hall 10,000 points per hour.

He had heard from Ning Yiyi that there seemed to be even better top-level training halls, but they weren’t open to the public.

Lin Moyu paid the points and entered the training hall.

The training hall was an independent space.

About 30 meters long and wide, not big or small, enough for skill training.

Some training equipment was placed inside.

Standing in the training hall, Lin Moyu felt a different aura.

He had summoned a skeleton warrior after leveling up, consuming 500 spirit power.

During his time at the exchange, it had only recovered a little bit.

The recovery speed was very slow.

Now in the training hall, without meditating, his spirit power recovery speed matched meditation.

Meditating in the Skill Training Hall would increase recovery speed several times more.

This way, he wouldn’t need to worry about insufficient spirit power when training skills.

Training speed could naturally increase greatly.

“If I summon skeleton warriors here and recover spirit power through meditation, I could fill up my skeleton warriors very quickly.”

Lin Moyu calculated in his mind. It was indeed a good method.

But now wasn’t the time to summon skeleton warriors.

Lin Moyu took out a junior skill scroll and activated it.

The scroll turned into a ball of light enveloping Lin Moyu, making him a glowing orb in the training hall.

Moments later, the light dissipated.

Nothing happened.

He didn’t gain any skills.

The junior skill scroll failed.

This was expected. Skill awakening wasn’t so easy.

Ning Yiyi had once said there was an unlucky guy who, at level 30, used a full 300 junior skill scrolls to awaken all skills below second transition.

Lin Moyu felt he shouldn’t be that unfortunate.

He activated another scroll.

The light orb lit up again.

Lin Moyu could see the orb was composed of countless points of light, like stars, very beautiful.

At this moment, Lin Moyu thought of watching the starry sky with his sister on the roof, making wishes on shooting stars.

Grandma would bring them snacks and fruit.

That time was wonderful, and Lin Moyu cherished it.

Suddenly, Lin Moyu saw one of the stars brighten.

Then it turned into a stream of light and entered his body.

[Obtained skill: Bone Armor]

[Bone Armor (Level 1): Summons bones to form armor, providing 100 constitution worth of defense for 5 minutes. This skill can also be used on others.]

Necromancers were also mage-class careers. Though equipment with mage skill bonuses didn’t affect him, they still had things in common with mages.

Mages had their shield skills, and necromancers had theirs.

Bone Armor appeared.

100 constitution converted to defense didn’t seem very high.

But under Full Enhancement, the defense increased 30 times.

Equivalent to 3000 constitution worth of defense…

This was practically a humanoid boss.

Facing those level 20 career holders, Lin Moyu could boldly say: Even if I don’t fight back and let you hit me, you can’t kill me.

Most importantly, this skill could be used on others.

Unlike mages who could only use it on themselves.

So with him in a team, safety would greatly increase.

The appearance of this skill also made up for his own weak defense.

Lin Moyu raised his palm slightly, then pressed down.

As his palm pressed down, a light sound rang out in the training hall.

At the same time, a cold wind arose from nowhere and surrounded him.

His body was quickly covered in white armor made of bones.

It looked somewhat eerie, but also cool.

After putting on the Bone Armor, Lin Moyu moved around a bit.

He could move freely, the armor didn’t hinder his actions at all.

And the armor was as light as nothing. If not looking with his eyes, he wouldn’t even feel it.

After trying it out, Lin Moyu smiled.

Another practical and powerful godly skill.

He activated another skill scroll.
