What if your Honkai Star Rail was like this?

Chapter 414: Chapter 413: Oronyx’s Trial

”We need to leave. Now.”

Hearing the footsteps at the door, Dan Heng and Sunday immediately climbed out the window. They had barely left when space shattered behind them. Tribbie and the others, who had rushed back from Castrum Kremnos, appeared in the living room.

”You all came back so quickly?”

Lygus walked through the door and asked with a surprised expression: ”Nikador has already been dealt with? As expected of Little Agy and Little Anaxa working together. Your efficiency is really high. Come, I prepared some cakes. Would you like to try some?”

”Big Brother Lygus, here’s what happened······” Phainon stepped forward and recounted everything that had occurred in Castrum Kremnos to Lygus in detail.

”The reason we came to find you is to ask if there’s any way to sever the connection between Nikador and the [Lance of Fury]? Otherwise, with this kind of deterrence system in place, we won’t be able to retrieve the [Strife] Coreflame at all.”

”Nikador could destroy Okhema at any moment!”

There was a hint of anxiety in Phainon’s voice. It was clear he was genuinely worried about Okhema’s safety.

”Hmm······ Let me think.” Lygus touched his chin and pondered for a few seconds. Suddenly, he raised one finger. ”Eh! I’ve got it!”

”Why don’t we go ask Oronyx? She must know something!”

The group fell silent for two seconds, then immediately began praising him: ”Good idea! That’s a really good idea!”

”Why didn’t I think of that earlier?”

”As expected of Big Brother Lygus. He immediately thought of something we couldn’t.”

”Let’s go, let’s go.”

”······”

Amid the group’s discussion, Tribbie once again opened a Hundred Realms Gate (shattering space with one palm) and pulled everyone inside.

·····

When Stelle opened her eyes again, she found herself back at the very first place she had arrived in Amphoreus — Fate’s Abyss, Janusopolis.

”Why here?” Stelle scratched her head and asked in confusion. ”Since Lord Tribbie can come here directly, why did she even send a rescue team back then? Wouldn’t opening a door to save people have been much more efficient?”

Hearing this, Phainon immediately explained patiently: ”Partner, there’s a reason for this. Lord Tribbie guarding the holy city is an extremely important task. If it weren’t for Nikador threatening the entire Okhema this time, she wouldn’t have taken action personally.”

”All of this is because of the ’Flame Reaver.’”

”I won’t hide it from you. The Flamechasing journey is already more than halfway done. Over the past thousand years, seven Chrysos Heirs have inherited divine authority, but only six Coreflames have been returned. Do you know why? It’s because of that Flame Reaver!”

”He steals Coreflames! Even ones that have already been returned — as long as no one is guarding them, he’ll steal them from the Vortex of Genesis. His identity is still unknown.”

”Every Coreflame is a sacred relic obtained through the painstaking efforts of countless people. Losing even one is an enormous loss······ Left with no choice, Lord Tribbie and Mydei had to work together to set up a dragnet inside Okhema to prevent the Flame Reaver from making another move.”

Stelle: ”Then if we all leave now, what if the Flame Reaver takes advantage of the opening?”

Phainon smiled: ”It won’t be that coincidental. The last time the Flame Reaver acted was over a hundred years ago. There hasn’t been any news until today. Besides, Lord Tribbie and Mydei moved out suddenly this time. The Flame Reaver definitely won’t be able to react in time.”

”Alright.” Mydei shook his head and said: ”Instead of worrying about things that haven’t happened yet, we should deal with the trouble in front of us first. The sooner we resolve the Coreflame issue, the safer it will be. Finding Oronyx and resolving the holy city’s crisis is the top priority right now.”

”Let’s hurry. Hopefully everything goes as smoothly as planned.”

·····

The group walked into the Hall of the Three Fates located in the ”Abyss.” It was a dilapidated yet still majestic hall. In the center of the hall hung a massive scale. Even after countless years, the scale remained as pristine as new.

——[”Overconfident mortals. Have you come to challenge me again?”]

At this moment, a Titan voice with a provocative tone rang beside everyone’s ears. Unlike Nikador’s deep voice, this one carried a childlike mischievousness: [”You’ve already challenged me tens of thousands of times and still couldn’t take my Coreflame. What a bunch of useless trash, hehe.”]

”It’s Oronyx.”

Hearing this voice, Tribbie immediately sensed something. Because the [Passage] Titan Janus she inherited authority from was known together with Oronyx and Talanton as the ”Three Fates Sisters,” she could instantly feel a targeted intent the moment Oronyx appeared.

Oronyx disliked her, a [Passage] demigod.

Although the Titans of Amphoreus had existed since the beginning of the world, not all of them were like Kephale, the ”Heavenly Father.” Oronyx was a very obvious example. If one didn’t know in advance, many people would probably mistake that voice for a naughty child’s prank.

”Oronyx, we didn’t come for your Coreflame this time!”

Mydei spoke loudly: ”We have some matters we wish to ask you about. Could you meet with us?”

——[”A bunch of little brats still want to meet the true body of a Titan?”]

Oronyx said disdainfully: ”Fine. It’s not impossible for you to meet me. As long as you can complete the trial I set, I’ll graciously grant you an audience.”

”We’re listening,” Mydei said.

Rumble——

Suddenly, the massive scale floating in the center of the temple trembled. The two originally balanced pans became uneven, one higher than the other. Oronyx’s voice followed: [”That is a relic left behind by my former sister, the Scale of Justice. If you can find a way to balance it, you pass the trial.”]

”The Scale of Justice is a divine artifact left behind by the [Law] Titan Talanton. It is said to be able to calculate the value of all things in the world and use that as a weight for measurement. The higher the value, the heavier the weight it represents,” Phainon explained to Stelle. ”It looks like Oronyx is deliberately making things difficult for us.”

”Because the ’value’ of an item isn’t just measured in money. It lies in the role it can play. Since all things have different values, there are only a handful of cases in history where the scale has been perfectly balanced.”

So that’s how it works.

Stelle now understood the mechanism of the scale and felt a headache coming on. If she were the one who had to figure out how to balance it, would she even be capable of doing so?

Hmm······

Probably not. Forget it. Something this difficult should be left to the adults. After all, they had Tribbie, Mydei, Aglaea, and Anaxa here. The first two were leaders of Okhema, one was a [Reason] demigod, and one was a warrior who had seen his share of storms.

Stelle decisively gave up on using her brain and, together with Phainon, stared eagerly at Tribbie and the others, hoping they would come up with a solution.

However, at that moment, something unexpected happened.

Tribbie’s phone suddenly rang. After she answered, an anxious voice came from the other end: ”This is bad! The Flame Reaver has appeared again!”
